What is the minimun requirement need to apply? I mean can an undergraduate apply also? |
VP Osinbajo is the best VP nigeria has ever had! But wait a minute? Where is Namadi Sambo it seems that guy has gone extinct, he is niether with the rulling party or opposition. |
The Apostle of Fire!!! He probably supported arsenal when he knew they where called 'Gunner's'. |
Most of the comments here are guys reminscing on how they had sex with a religious lady and most are proud of it, some spitting out how the see those ladies praying or Sharing scriptures on there status etc...and are tagging the ladies the had sex with hypocrtical. Some are actually hypocritical but sir's some are not, some have a burning desire to please God which the display with thier disposition before or after sex...succumbing to your incessant sexual advances only lured them to fall back to a weakness they have been struggling with and are crying to God to help them out, the other side of the story most guys that have shared there escapade here dont know is that some of those churchy ladies you had sex with after the rump felt guilty and ashamed of themselves that they had once again failed God. Most times even if you continue having sex with them it is no justification they love what they are doing, its simply becuase you become emotionally vulnerable to anyone you have had sex with thereby making it almost impossible to resist your patners advance. Guy's who are proud that they have had sex with church ladies make me suprise, the worst is when someone said he doesn't come near religious people and apparently he just meant there lifestyle is judging his. |
And only few know he was a proselyte (a convert) of ArchBishop Benson Idahosa. |
itzmarvyx:Thank God for Apostle Selman, God has used that man to give us sense many times. |
Biko......All this 'I see, I see' this man have been saying and all the prediction he claimed he spoke and have come to pass. Seems he is a prophet o, biko let him go and contest for the president of nigerian association of prophet to be a president in nigeria is more than I see! |
PRESS RELEASE: Our attention has been drawn to a malicious attack on the person of the Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow by one Ambassador Aminu Iyawa on the just concluded Presidential elections in the state. In his spiteful misleading and mischievous postilation, Iyawa claimed, Governor Bindow sold out the state for the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to garner considerable votes at the polls and he further malignly pointed that, Governor Bindow designed a plan to give Atiku an edge in the polls. In as much as we do not usually answer irrelevant political zealots like Iyawa but considering his position as an Ambassador, we feel the need to keep the record straight on falsehood raised by Iyawa, otherwise he might achieve his aim of misleading people who don’t know or understand the true picture of the political dynamics in Adamawa State. To start with, he has no moral right whatsoever to accuse Governor Bindow of anti-party because even though he was part of the people that formed the APC in 2014 but he worked against President Buhari in the 2015 polls; as at then, he pitched tent with the PDP and he was an arrowhead of the calumny campaign against the President Buhari in Adamawa State. Secondly, he was lucky to get a Federal Government appointment as an Ambassador but Iyawa has never attended any APC stakeholders’ meeting in the state or convene any such meeting in his local government or Ward to push the cause of President Buhari or the APC. Thirdly, how can Iyawa even claim Governor Bindow has failed when he adequately cut down Atiku’s lead votes to 30, 000 votes in the state, Atiku’s own state. Does Iyawa not see what happened in Katsina? The big margin between President Buhari and Atiku? Why is Iyawa blaming a man who singularly ensured massive vote touch for President Buhari? Where are the Iyawas and his cohorts of the state? They should come out and tell us how many they mobilized for the President in their Local Governments, Wards and Units? Therefore, we wish to categorically state that, the analysis by Iyawa is only aimed at tarnishing the exalted image of His Excellency Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla and this falsehood is mischievously orchestrated and fictitious. It is a big surprise that such concocted story was circulated by someone who claims to love Adamawa State and the APC. Therefore, we wish to stress that Governor Bindow is a core APC Member, Loyalist and an absolute believer in President Buhari and his ideals. He is a political guide for all good citizens of Adamawa State and he is a gentleman politician per Excellency who will never indulge in any act of anti-party to the APC. Governor Bindow has tremendous respect and regard for the President and the National Leadership of the APC and consequently, any plan or attempt to disrupt the resounding relationship existing between Mr President, the Party Leadership and Governor Bindow will not only fail but, will definitely not see the light of the day. We therefore wish to use this medium to plead with all concerned or those that could be affected one way or the other by that statement credited to Iyawa, to dismiss same as it is an unfair representation of Governor Bindow’s political standing. The publication is only but, one of the few concocted statements by enemies of the APC and Adamawa State, purposely geared to disrupt the peace and our collective existence in the state. Umar Duhu (Dr.) Secretary, Buhari / Bindow Campaign Council Caucus, Adamawa State |
Medicine and Surgery; Is It Truly Worth The Attention It Gets? I woke up at about 6am, said my prayers and exited the room only to find a flock of birds flying past the roof. Amazingly, the hens and cocks were stretching their feathers and feeling awesome not minding nor even noticing the height of their counterparts. I logged on to facebook to see if she replied the chats I sent her last night but NO, she didn't. It's obvious she is sad. It's her third year of applying for Medicine and Surgery and this time, she was offered provisional admission to study Food Science and Technology. I could guess, she felt her dreams has been shattered again. I care for her a lot but I just couldn't find a means to pacify her so I kept my cool. I've had the privilege of meeting prospective undergraduates on various occasions and their clamour for Medicine and Surgery is alarming. Sometimes it's very difficult to ascertain what fuels their desire. Why do you want to Study Medicine? Most of them don't seem to have any answer. They either grew up in an Igbo family where the parents so much believe that the way out of poverty and lack is for their ward to become a medical doctor or while in secondary school, they belonged to a class where 90% of the brilliant ones kept singing Medicine and because they didn't want to feel less than equal, they joined the bandwagon. Every year, thousands of students apply for Medicine, yet, very few get admitted. 11,130 candidates applied for Medicine and Surgery in UNN alone and not more than 200 will be admitted. It's is already clear that more than 10,000 will be denied admission. Same with other 24 FULLY accredited Medical schools in Nigeria. Only about 1.6% of people who apply for Medicine in Nigeria get admitted yearly. And only 56% of the admitted students end up becoming doctors. If you successfully scale through the 6years spent in school, getting a placement for housemanship within the stipulated 2years becomes another bridge to cross. If you eventually end up not getting a place, you will have to resit your final exams this time conducted by the Medical body not your school and you will have to pay plus the high failure rate involved. Looking at the stress in the journey to becoming a doctor, one should be able to vow that these guys should be the most successful set of people in the society but unfortunately, the reality is different. Failure in Marriage: Whatever business, ministry or profession that takes a toll on your family life has made you a failure and that is the predicament of most Doctors. I read an article where an American Medical Body reacted to a medical divorce research by saying only 23% of Doctors have a failed marriage as against the 27% earlier proven, what difference does it make? I don't have a problem with the statistics because in Nigeria, you will rarely find any divorce case but I've been to Doctors' houses and to be sincere, their wives suffer lack of attention and so do their kids. But the Nigerian culture has taught ladies to tolerate till Jesus comes. In the book 'for men only', 80% of the women interviewed said they would rather suffer financial insufficiency in their homes than lack of attention from their spouse. He goes to work even on Sundays, he never thinks of taking his family on a vacation, he comes home by 9pm and is so exhausted to chat with his wife and as he lays to sleep, two hours later, the nurse is on the phone 'Doctor there is an emergency' and he rushes out by 11pm and that is the profession that thousands of deceived Nigerian students wants. Financially: Doctors are not poor but very few of them are rich. 300k per month, you have a wife and children, you have house rent to settle and have other family members who has a perception that you are rich so they make demands on you. I've never seen a Doctor riding a Range Rover, you only see them on Toyota Camry, Corolla, Honda and other 1-2million naira cars. Business: If they invest in other businesses, maybe things will be better. I was with a Doctor in the Medical Centre here and he began lamenting that even if he wants to do anything like business, he won't have time for it and people will end up taking advantage of him. Moreso, if at the workplace, they realize that you have investments, you will be denied certain financial privileges. I am not despising the medical profession, as I can't deny the fact that the society can't survive without them. I am only worried that an individual spends 7years resitting Jamb simply because he wants to study Medicine. Come to a gathering and introduce yourself as a medical doctor, nobody will bow to you, outside the school setting what speaks is your Success in life not your A in Pathology. How many less privileged kids have you given a reason to smile by sending them to school? How many homes have your existence deleted poverty from their lineage. Therein lies fulfilment. We need doctors, don't get me wrong but our quest for the medical profession is not worth it. It has crippled rich minds, buried companies that would have been providing 10,000 jobs today and hidden business potentials and leadership models in the chocking atmosphere of the hospital. So guys, don't feel bad if you not admitted to study Medicine, settle for anything. It's your imagination in life that counts not your IQ. Make the best out your life wherever you find yourself. Share your opinions please. |

AN OPEN LETTER TO MR PRESIDENT 2 Dear Sir, I hope this missive meets you in the finest condition of health. You will recall that I did write to you some months back through this medium and I promised to write you again. I am very sure that by now you have acclimatized yourself to the stressful rigmarole of governing a complex state like ours, hence I will not write this time around with the assumption that you are still new in office or still settling as your supporters normally say. It was the great Greek Philosopher Plato who posited in His famous book ‘The Republic’ that “the state will not see better days until either the stock of those who rightly genuinely follow philosophy acquire or else the class which has political control be led by some dispensation or providence to become real philosophers”. This simply means that the state is supposed to be governed and led by intellect not based on some primordial sentiments. I am not writing to engage you in a Political Science class or bombard you with abstract theories, but I am writing to simply bare my mind on the direction that I see you navigating the ship of the Nigerian State. Prior to your assumption of office in May 2015, Nigeria was almost in a complete cul-de-sac. Insecurity reigned supreme in the land as we sleep with only one of our eyes open. Education, health, agriculture were all in mess that Nigerians really heaped a high sigh of relief with your coming as the new President of Nigeria. This was enthusiastically demonstrated by some exuberant Youths who willingly trekked long distance to show you love and admiration. Your speech during your inauguration personally made me optimistic where you declared that You belong to nobody and at the same time you belong to everybody. As confusing as that statement is now turning out to be, we greeted it a thunderous applause. You made so many promises that day that your regime will give zero tolerance for corruption and you prioritized the fight against the Boko Haram insurgents. Personally I was optimistic that finally Nigeria has found the messiah she has been clamoring for. It is therefore in the light of the above background that I decided to write this letter to you at this crucial time to critically diagnose your fifteen months administration in order to ascertain if we are progressing or retrogressing. Dudley Seers(1969) said three questions need to be asked when one is talking about a country’s development: a. What is happening to poverty b. What is happening to Unemployment c. What is happening to inequality? Mr. President, I regret to say here that the three indicators mentioned above have risen to unprecedented and unbearable height. I know you inherited these problems from your predecessors (even though you are one of them), but I am yet to see the policy direction that your administration is taking to address these problems. I have tried so hard in the past to justify your actions and inactions to friends and colleagues, but at this juncture I must admit that I am confused. Aside from the adverse effect brought by the rise in the price of petrol by your government, insecurity is becoming something else. I appreciate your effort in reducing the activities of the Boko Haram insurgents, but what about helpless villagers who are attacked, slaughtered and maimed by blood thirsty beasts who can best be described as animals in human skin? Furthermore, I have more questions than answers on your fight against corruption. I see a lot of kleptocrats within and outside your government walking scot free. I believe the fight against corruption you promised us during the campaign is not cosmetic but holistic, until I see an unbiased, committed, non-political and patriotic fight against corruption, I will only describe your efforts as being tantamount with shooting a mosquito with a gun which is a complete waste of bullets. Conclusively, I would like to remind you that Nigerians have huge confidence in your principles and integrity and I can only appeal to you not to betray the confidence of the teaming masses who defied all odds to make you President. Accept my apologies if some of my words are harsh but I feel there are times when silence is no longer golden. Kindly do the needful before it is too late. I will write the last version soon. Many thanks, Educatedhausaboy.
