NYSC / My Camp Experience (part 4) Story By Deobaba by Icorpers: 7:42pm On Nov 14, 2015
Following day, I went to the band spot close to the kitchen and I saw the tdh guy...that my guy na, see u have forgotten

chaii...well, I went to him told him about my interest, this guy finally smiled, and i'm like omg, can you just ask me out

already....haainnn u are just a crush I said, I focused and rehearsals started and this guy is really disciplined.......jeez

and I actually admire him.......awwwnnnn.... He was the president of the band and the others introduced themselves to us. And we

started beating the blocks for rehearsal. I went for my size abeg, I played the snare or side drum which ever you wanna call

it.

After rehearsals, we were addressed, immediately after that we went for food and then resumed series of supposed to be useful lectures.
Some of these guys were just poor at delivering abeg!!! And my NYSC cap did help, plus my size, I got a spot in between, and

my cap covered my face, afterall it is called a face cap. So that was how I got siesta sessions. I got some useful information

tho...@ d lectures and could not wait to update my status on icorpers.com

Oya let me tell you about our afta parryyy...welcome parry...
Well I didn't want to go, but my room was

just too close to the hall, so I could see all that was happening.
I saw Mr huge guy as he walked passed my hostel, I went back

in............'when you see an elephant and a rat, what do you think of?' Hehehehe......naso e be jhoor...
I came out again and I saw

another small person, so I decided to walk past him and noticed I was a little taller afterall, and joy filled my inner most inner

innerful mind...I found out he was in platoon four, I was in platoon three.
The night passed as people mingled together

then I saw one Adeola, had a chat and went our ways, brilliant lady and bright future to have if she is serious.

Come ooooooo!!!!!,

shey you know this is a diary not a story book?
Oya...time to sleep biko...

NYSC / My Camp Experience (part 3) Story By Deobaba by Icorpers: 11:46pm On Nov 07, 2015
I was curious and was wondering while you will go to the tap and take coloured water. So I asked,'didn't you use your cup to take the water from the tap and how come you all took the water?'
Then Chioma shouted,'madam na kitchen tea and enough with the questions'.
Then she ran out again to use the loo.
I guess the tea and bread pouring away was a blessing in disguise.
While others continued with registration, we went to the parade ground for Swearing in rehearsals.
I loved the sound from the band as we rehearsed. I went to inquire and then I joined the band.
I was told I could not join yet until we are sworn in. The look on this tall, dark and handsome guy was just scary, but I like his eyes and lips winks* (come on I was only admiring durrhh).
Anyway swearing in commander, carry on. After we took the oath and the whole hip hip hip tingy tangy went... I took pictures...and that was how we Swear* for our selves.
Wait ohhh, I have skipped the khaki part ohhhhh, jizzz....ahahahaha...put a coconut in a sack- that was me in khaki....
I had to go slim fit, this guys shaaaa....they charged me oo...the fare was high.
Everyone started calling me water bottle, I didn't like it at first, but I had no choice.
I had fun with NCCF at the evenings.
On my way to mami ooooo after NCCF, you remember that big guy that poured my tea and bread away and said nothing?? Ehn en...so I met him in mami, as I tried to dodge, he called me and apologized for the other day I was amazed and it was a relief and then I got yam and akara for dinner.

Thanks viewers for showing icorpers a lot of love and please do not forget to sign up on icorpers.com, follow icorpers on instagram (@icorpers) and twitter (@icorpersnaija) WATCH OUT FOR PART 4

NYSC / My Camp Experience (part 2) Story By Deobaba by Icorpers: 8:40pm On Oct 31, 2015
Sha I finished my registration, got bunk space, hustled for bed.
I finally settled down, and tried connecting to people I met on iCorpers. Finally met with Gbemi and Adeolu. We met on the parade ground.
The following day, beagle sounds and then morning drills.
I didn't just skip that restroom part ohhhhhh nooo...buahahahaha....
Would you like to hear the gist? Naaa, I wouldn't wanna talk bout it too, very very not interested in having those pictures written in my diary. Iyanmaa...no amount of words can express how I felt.
Back to parade ground...I just heard water bottle, move to the front. I was like, what is water bottle doing on parade ground?
Then I heard malta Guinness I said move...then he approached me and said,'White fowl, you no dey hear your name? Otondo water bottle, double up and move...' People laughed at me, and I felt bad. But me sef, wetin I go do for back? Haainnn....na me find trouble...you know I can like to console myself.
We learnt the NYSC anthem, got camp briefs, then went back for breakfast. Phheewww, that cold tho...
And I saw the queue for food I was scared. But as I had to be humble and I had to respect my pocket. I stayed till I got my food, when I got the food, I was happy since it was bread and tea.
On my way to the hostel to eat, one of those boys in Agagu hostel just hit me, my tea poured away and my bread fell into water, but I can't shout, his size was too intimidating abeg...just they go...
I got to the room, and I went to buy rice in mami market.
I got back from mami and my room was virtually empty. I thought it was time for parade when two of my roomies entered and I asked why the room was empty. They told me they had been using the toilet, since they took the coloured water.........

Hope you enjoyed the second part as well pls stay tuned for part 3 and PLS DO NOT FORGET TO SIGN UP ON www.icorpers.com and follow us on twitter and FB @icorpersnaija thank you....

NYSC / My Camp Experience (part 1) Story By Deobaba by Icorpers: 12:02pm On Oct 29, 2015
As it happened that I saw my name on the graduation list, joy filled my heart and the river banks of my eyes let loose the fluids it guards.

I rejoiced with my family as I came out one of the best in my department, we ate danced took pictures and slept at night...lol

Oya oo, NYSC we are waiting for you...with enthusiasm I filled in the three states I wanted and then I got posted to Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.

And i'm like yes I want to serve but this looks like a village in Kenya, as I have not heard about Ikare Akoko prior to that time. Then I started surfing the net for useful information, and I stumbled on icorpers on the net, I signed up, followed icorpers on IG, all to get information. Fortunately icorpers was a very useful tool in providing needed information.

Finally, Haaainnnn...... I said to myself, ' this is an adventure and i'm going on it'.

Gathered all I needed to gather, packed all I needed to pack. I then proceeded by linking up with peeps posted to Ikare too, and we were four 3 ladies and a guy.

I had to stay with my uncle prior to the date the camp opens. I got on the bus going to ikare camp, and I was waiting for the journey to end; from lagos. 1,2,3,4 hours and i'm like Ikare Akoko has to be really far..........just like Kenya in Nigeria...abeeggiiii....swerve....

Finally the bus stopped and the driver said,'gbogbo ero' meaning 'all passengers' and we looked around like JJC's and asked!... where is the camp? Baba replied,'you will have to board bike to camp'..........hmmm ok oooo..... I couldn't argue, my stature would not allow me.

Let me tell you how I looked; close your eyes...can you see a petite, beautifully endowed lady Yeahhhh that's me. Winks*

Well, stopped a bike man, Ikare camp sir, oga said 500 naira, I just felt I should bargain, and I said 70 naira. Then he replied,'oya 100 naira and let's go'. Scam oshii...

It is not easy to be an otondo.

Shaa shaaaa shaaaa, I got to camp gate o, bought padlock, auntie selling said 'sister you go need bucket, and i'm like seriously...this is not for me abeg, till I settle down...

Sooooooo...........when inside the camp, after being checked. (Forget it, I did not frog jump or put my box on my head, I entered like a queen lol).

Finally registration started but when I saw some peoples' date of birth; I had to be hiding mine, plus my stature did not help matters- 1988,1989,1987, me I con carry 1994...choiii...

Hope you enjoyed the first part? pls visit and sign up to the new social network for corpers www.icorpers.com
