fidet1: Hello people, do you know if having invitation letter increases one's chance of getting tourist visa approved. I applied and interviewed...was rejected no reason given. I want to reapply and schedule interview for march, maybe with an invitation letter this time. Invitation letter makes little difference in my opinion. Just package your application properly. You were interviewed or your wife? |

The Brazilian embassy does not seem to have a uniform processing time. They treat some applications within weeks while some take months. How long since you submitted . and do you have travel history. sadegivens0: Thank you for sharing your experience @ lordxxstephen.
In my situation, they requested that I send them through pdf format only 3 months statement of account, flight and hotel reservation. I just finished sending or forwarding it to them through email. I have sent them this same documents prior.
My question is: why do they always ask us to send them, for the same documents that they already have in their possession or that was originally sent to them prior?
I will be very grateful for the answer to my question because I am just curious. |

TadeDetule: Its still one year but you are now expected to get into the country within 3 months of approval. Thanks for your response. Does that mean the visa can’t be used if the travel date is more than 3 months from the date of approval. Even though the validity says one year. |

Use your salary account simply for salaries
This January let there be a balance of ₦5m plus in the account as opening balance
Then throughout February, don't let any other money enter that account, look for another account to receive other deposit. Spend only ₦700,000 in entire 27 days of February.
Then collect February salary and in March, spend only 700,000 and don't let any other money enter that account.
Do these until July ending, then apply in August, 2025 hello Goodday. this might be a generic question but pls if i earn 750k a month, do they consider a 150k expenditure realistic. i actually spend less than that but from your explanation they want our finances to sound right and straightforward. thank you. |

Investment › Re: FGN Savings Bond by icu4: 11:55am On Jul 30, 2024 |
Hello Good Morning, Do you get issued a certificate after investing in FGN Bond. freeman67: Nothing much.
For the primary market, you only need to download the form or go get it from the issuers agent you intend to use, fill it and submit it as directed from where you get along with the proof of payment of your desired amounr. Also, some banks create automated platforms sometimes during the auction where you will just go and fill the form online. The only extra thing that it needed with that is just for you to upload your payment receipt.
If you have a CSCS account, it's also very okay as it is usually required on the form. After auction and settlements, the bond is usually allotted to your CSCS account. However, even if you do not have it, your bank will look for how to warehouse it for you and if you decide you want to resale it, you will have to contact them for it.
For primary market, the only platform I have used for bond so far and know their ways is Standard Chartered Bank. For them, all you have to do is to click on investment option in bank app. Everything there is automated: After clicking, check available listings and select options the has your desired rate & tenure. Then you Input the amount you want to invest (Be sure it's already in the account with them before you start the process) and select buy.
That's all I can say for now. If you have other questions you can still ask. |

StOla: God forbid the day I will abandon a well paying Nigerian job just because I want to put on winter jacket in UK while my face is unhappy and my health is terribly under stress.
I do not mind doing it for a job or immigration to the USA where opportunities abound for even the very 1st generation of the immigrant family, but UK is a big NO.
The majority of Nigerians who have been in the UK since the early 1980s, they have not made it till today. Their children have not made it too.
The wise 3rd generation have embraced sport and entertainment, so that the curse of the UK will not happen to the 3rd generation of the family.
If you go to the UK, you are going there to suffer so that maybe your 3rd generation family can finally live wealthy. The points in this post are just perfect. Most people tend to understand after they’ve gotten into the system. You are comfortable in Nigeria , I see no reason to venture into the unknown which in most cases isn’t worth. If your condition is terrible here , by all means explore. ‘I’m doing it for my children’ okay look at the people that has done before you and see how better off their children are. Especially the uk, this doesn’t apply to other western countries with better opportunities. Like someone said earlier, The UK is not the best destination for immigration, it's just a better place. |
