Business / Re: Fxtm Is A Well Organised Scam by idlemann: 2:09pm On Sep 24, 2020
viperVIP:
My journey started a month ago when I invested 2,500 on fxtm under a strategy manager named "trading-power5". He was doing very well with his losses well controlled and profits on a reasonable level. Until 4 days ago when he suddenly made 48% losses, I didn't expect the loss to continue, on tuesday the loss reduced to about 35% and by the time i woke up yesterday, the losses is 88%. At this juncture, I observed 80% of their pro traders had lost almost same percentage. How coincident could that be I eventually woke up this morning and couldn't find the investment account under summary, then i checked my email.

Investment Strategy closed

Consequently your Investment Account 1904662 has also been closed.

leaving me with just 233.05 USD automatically deposited in my wallet. I checked few other strategy managers who made that huge loss, also shut down. So i had to email them.

"I would like to conclude that this is an organized scam. I don't know why a professional trader would lose as much as 2300 USD. more than 80% of the equity. it just doesn't sound right in any sense and when they finally lose all this amount, they shut down their account based on one stupid decision huh? and all the investors money lost. But when it's profit, they take 30%.

I DO NOT TRUST YOUR SITE and it's high time we start making people know of your strategy and scam!
Goodluck."

This is the worst moment of my life. 1,2m gone in a flash!!!
FXTM is a SCAM.... I advise people should desist from them.

Sorry for your loss but putting 1.2million into forex and u aren't trading yourself isn't quite a wise decision. Try to learn a good strategy that suits your style and trade yourself if u have passion for it and with time u can even be more better than those professional traders that trade for people.

Politics / Chief Of Air Staff Marries Humanitarian Affairs Minister by idlemann: 12:11pm On Sep 24, 2020
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has married the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq.

Multiple sources confirmed to Daily Trust last night that the wedding Fatiha took place on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Maitama Juma’a Mosque in Abuja.

“It is true that the chief of air staff and the humanitarian affairs minister have gotten married,” one of the sources said.

“Very few people were invited to attend the wedding fatiha because the couple and those close to them didn’t want to publicize the issue,” he said.

Another source said the two have been in love for some time.

“They have been in a relationship for a while and what happened on Friday has put to rest all the speculations about her relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said.

There were reports in October 2019 that President Buhari and the minister have gotten married, a claim that was dismissed by the presidency.

New-born baby found dead in gutter in Nasarawa

CITY NEWS

A new-born baby wrapped in a polythene bag has been found dead in a gutter near Aku Village, Mararaba, in Karu area of Nasarawa state.

Residents were shocked to discover the baby in the gutter.

The incident which happened on Tuesday, drew a large crowd to the scene after a young man entered the gutter filled with water and refuse.

Anthony Ignatius told a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that a similar incident happened in 2019 on the other side of the same gutter.

”I think the mother must have given birth to the baby in the night and dumped her in the gutter.

”I wonder why a mother, who carried a baby fro nine months, would behave in such a wicked manner.

”The woman should have taken the child to the motherless babies home. This is sad,” hesaid.

Another resident, Amina Abubukar, said:” I have read about these kind of acts. But I have never seen it.

”I am very shocked and angry with the woman who did this. Women are supposed to caring.

”I don’t think I can sleep tonight after seeing this.

”My advice to women is that do not allow yourselves to get pregnant if you are going to dump your baby.

”This baby did not ask for you to bring it to the world. This woman should seek the face of God when faced with such challenges,” she said.

Another resident, Umar Bello, said:”whoever did this, should search her conscience and go to the police.

”What will push a woman to dump an innocent soul in a gutter? People are wicked”.

NAN reports that other passers-by, rained curses on the mother.

When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer of Nasarawa State, ASP Ramhan Nansel said the matter has not reached the command.

Nansel said the police will look into the matter. (NAN)

Politics / Equal Opportunities, Rights Impossible Without Support Of Men- Tallen by idlemann: 12:51pm On Sep 23, 2020
The Minister, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Pauline Tallen, has said the voice of women alone cannot bring the equal opportunities and rights that women are demanding without the support of men.

Tallen who made this known during the Women in Governance and Politics Constitutional Amendment for Equal Opportunities Conference 2020 with the #WIGConference2020 organised by Dinidari foundation Monday said, looking at the number of women in both the upper and lower house, without the support of the men nothing can happen.

She said the majority of men in the senate and members of the house of representatives are now fully in support of the equal rights and opportunities bill for women.

“Our men are supportive of this move and the women among them. We can see that the attitude are changing and all women are working together with the men in the National Assembly and with the support of them definitely things will change for the better for women.”

The organiser of the conference and convener, Dinidari foundation, Ndi Kato said, the driving force for equal opportunities for women is because not giving equal opportunities for women is leading to lots of violence and it’s causing the nation too much and we must tell ourselves the truth for the country to advance.

“Everybody in Nigeria irrespective of gender should be empowered to bring equal contributions that will lead to greater development of the nation. The more you continue to keep women down the more it continues to create problem for the nation.

“Already, the road we are trailing now as a nation is not a smooth one and if we want to stop this nation from crashing we must endeavour to seek for equal rights and opportunities for women.

One of the panelists at the conference, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe said, “Also, with the expression and communication also help to break down some balance. Therefore, we think that this might be much better opportunity for us to be able to actually get this spirit of us. I do not see a lot of people who are standing against the Bill but what really happened is we need to properly speak with people who has to do the voting and if you ignore it an make an assumption you might just be disappointed on the floor.”

Sports / Roman Reigns Takes A Major Shot At RETRIBUTION by idlemann: 11:59am On Sep 23, 2020
Roman Reigns has been wreaking havoc on WWE SmackDown ever since he made his long-anticipated return to WWE at SummerSlam 2020. The Big Dog is the current Universal Champion and is all set to take on Jey Uso at Clash of Champions.

Roman Reigns recently had a chat with a bunch of fans in a Zoom call, presented by The Mania Club. Reigns was asked by a fan about a possible faction involving him and other Samoan wrestlers in WWE. While responding to the fan, Reigns took a shot at RETRIBUTION and The Hurt Business.

"Boy, you put me and my cousins, the girls, Joe as well, just based off the lineage, that's a tough group to dismantle. I mean, we just watched RETRIBUTION and The Hurt Business. We would squash them, all of them. You put them all together, we would squash them all."
"I mean, they're legitimate competitors, they are great athletes, but you put all of us together, with not only the fact that, we're hard-nosed competitors ourselves."
RETRIBUTION have been running roughshod on the WWE roster
RETRIBUTION is a band of masked men and women who have been targeting WWE for a few weeks now. Last week, they went head to head with The Hurt Business in a brawl on WWE RAW, when they interfered in the main event featuring Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee. The latest episode of RAW saw the names of three members being revealed.

Roman Reigns is currently a heel on WWE SmackDown. He has suddenly become one of the most ruthless entities in all of WWE. It would be really interesting to see what transpires if he crosses paths with RETRIBUTION sometime in the near future.

Politics / House Easily Passes Stopgap Funding Bill, Averting Shutdown by idlemann: 11:29am On Sep 23, 2020
In a sweeping bipartisan vote that takes a government shutdown off the table, the House passed a temporary government-wide funding bill Tuesday night, shortly after President Donald Trump prevailed in a behind-the-scenes fight over his farm bailout.

The stopgap measure will keep federal agencies fully up and running into December, giving lame-duck lawmakers time to digest the election and decide whether to pass the annual government funding bills by then or kick them to the next administration. The budget year ends Sept. 30.

The 359-57 vote came after considerable behind-the-scenes battling over proposed add-ons. The final agreement gives the administration continued immediate authority to dole out Agriculture Department subsidies in the run-up to Election Day. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., retreated from an initial draft that sparked a furor with Republicans and farm-state Democrats, who said she was interfering with the routine implementation of the rural safety net as low crop prices and Trump's own tariffs slam farm country.

“It's a big deal. This is cash flow to mom and pop businesses all over rural America," said Texas Rep. Michael Conaway, top Republican on the House Agriculture Committee. “They get them every year in October. They come like clockwork."

In talks Tuesday, Pelosi restored a farm aid funding patch sought by the administration, which has sparked the ire of Democrats who said it plays political favorites as it gives out bailout money to farmers and ranchers.

In return, Pelosi won COVID-related food aid for the poor, including an extension of a higher food benefit for families whose children are unable to receive free or reduced lunches because schools are closed over the coronavirus. Another add-on would permit states to remove hurdles to food stamps and nutrition aid to low-income mothers that are more difficult to clear during the pandemic.

The deal permitted the measure to speed through the House after a swift debate that should ensure smooth sailing in the GOP-held Senate before next Wednesday's deadline. There's no appetite on either side for a government shutdown.

On Monday, Democrats released a version of the stopgap measure that did not contain the farm bailout provision, enraging Republicans and putting passage of the measure in doubt. It became apparent that Pelosi did not have the votes to pass it — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., dismissed it as a “rough draft" — and negotiations continued.

Democrats complain that the Trump administration has favored southern states such as Georgia — a key swing state and home of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue — and larger producers in distributing bailout funds. Farmers are suffering from low commodity prices and the effects of higher tariffs imposed by Trump. Trump announced a new $13 billion allotment of bailout funding at a political rally in Wisconsin last week.

The administration's handling of farm subsidies had angered Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, the powerful top Democrat on the Agriculture Committee. She said that the Agriculture Department didn't need the special financing provision that sparked the furor and that the money would come in November at the latest anyway. But the financial fix had been passed before, and other Democrats, including endangered House incumbents in states like Iowa and Minnesota, pressed for it.

“Now is not the time to be playing politics with aid to farmers or the assistance needed to save our families and local economies from economic disaster," said freshman Rep. Abby Finkenauer, D-Iowa.

The measure is the bare minimum accomplishment for Capitol Hill's powerful Appropriations committees, who pride themselves on their deal-making abilities despite gridlock in other corners of Congress. It came after bipartisan negotiations on a huge COVID-19 relief package imploded and appear unlikely to be rekindled — especially since the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has upended U.S. politics.

“We need to keep the government open but we also need additional COVID relief for the American people," said Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.

The legislation — called a continuing resolution, or CR, in Washington-speak — would keep every federal agency running at current funding levels through Dec. 11, which will keep the government afloat past an election that could reshuffle Washington’s balance of power.

The measure also extends many programs whose funding or authorizations lapse on Sept. 30, including the federal flood insurance program, highway and transit programs, and a long set of extensions of various health programs, such as a provision to prevent Medicaid cuts to hospitals that serve many poor people.

It also finances the possible transition to a new administration if Joe Biden wins the White House and would stave off an unwelcome COVID-caused increase in Medicare Part B premiums for outpatient doctor visits.

The underlying stopgap measure deals with the 30% of the federal government's day-to-day budget that goes to Cabinet agency operations funded by Congress each year. The annual appropriations process broke down in the Senate this year and it's unclear but probably unlikely that the $1.3 trillion in agency spending bills will be enacted this year, even in a post-election lame duck session, especially if Biden is elected to replace Trump.

In the past, both Democrats and Republicans have sought to use government funding deadlines and must-past temporary funding bills as leverage to try to win concessions elsewhere on Washington's agenda. Such efforts invariably fail.

Republicans in 2013 used it in a failed attempt to prevent implementation of the so-called Obamacare health law, and Senate Democrats returned the favor in 2018 in a futile effort to force debate on permitting immigrants brought into the country illegally as children to remain in the U.S.

Pelosi studiously avoided such a confrontation this time.

Business / Microstrategy CEO Could ‘liquidate $200M In Bitcoin On A Saturday’ by idlemann: 11:18am On Sep 23, 2020
Michael Saylor has said that all $400 million of business intelligence firm MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin reserve holdings could be liquidated at any time.

In a Sept. 22 interview, Saylor told Bloomberg that although “volatility isn’t really a reason to sell,” he would not hesitate to dump MicroStrategy’s 38,250 Bitcoin (BTC) at a moment’s notice if an alternative asset’s yields were to jump.

Though MicroStrategy acquired Bitcoin in a carefully orchestrated series of 78,338 separate off-chain transactions, the CEO said offloading them would be much simpler.

“We can liquidate it any day of the week, any hour of the day,” Saylor said. “If I needed to liquidate $200 million of Bitcoin, I believe I could do it on a Saturday.”

There is, however, no reason to think that Saylor intends to sell the company's newly acquired Bitcoin anytime soon, particularly with the CEO estimating that so-called asset inflation will surge to more than 20% a year, eroding purchasing power. "We feel pretty confident that Bitcoin is less risky than holding cash, less risky than holding gold,” he said.

MicroStrategy announced on Aug. 11 that it had purchased 21,454 BTC for $250 million, adopting the cryptocurrency as its primary reserve asset. Following the initial investment, the firm bought an additional 16,796 Bitcoin for $175 million.

Its total holdings are now valued at roughly $401.5 million with the crypto asset’s recent 6% drop, meaning a negative 3.2% return after six weeks. However, Bitcoin in general has been on the rise in 2020, up from the $7,000s in January to testing the $11,000 barrier in September.

Though initially claiming “Bitcoin’s days are numbered” in 2013, Saylor has since become a major advocate for crypto, even seemingly embracing a Bitcoin maximalist mindset in a Sept. 20 tweet by calling BTC one of the few “crypto-asset networks.”

“We feel pretty confident that Bitcoin is less risky than holding cash, less risky than holding gold,” the CEO told Bloomberg. He predicted that other companies would likely invest in Bitcoin within six months.
