High Court fixed Feb. 9 for hearing What many saw or took as a mere political game to distract All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari from the February coming presidential election by those who had challenged his academic qualifications has gathered momentum, as February 9 has been fixed for the hearing of the lawsuit. The suit which was instituted on behalf of Max Ozoaka by a group of lawyers led by four senior advocates (Ken Njemanze, Ade Okeaya, Chief Godwin Obla and Prof. Tony Ijohor) is a potential danger very capable of dislodging Buhari, and alter the political history of presidential elections in Nigeria. The suit demanded for the disqualification of Buhari from the presidential election citing Buhari’s failure not to have included his birth certificate and educational qualifications in the form he submitted to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as stipulated by law. Ruling yesterday in the Federal High Court Abuja, Justice Ademola Adeniyi directed that copies of the suit should be served on Buhari and INEC. Considering how delicate this lawsuit is and the enormous responsibility before the judges – and in retrospect to accusations of compromise against few Nigerian judges, Global Reporters urge the jurists to be professionals in the adjudication of this suit. Furthermore, focusing our minds that February 14 had been fixed for the presidential election, we also plead that this case file should be a priority among all case files. |
As you go out to vote on Feb 14... Remember to Thumb Print for the Man who is J = Joyfully O = On N = New A = Assignment T = To H = Help A = All N = Nigerians & THEN we must also resist anyone who will B = Bring U = Us H = Hatred A = And R = Religious I = Intolerance |
As a Nigerian patriot privileged to serve my country at different levels of responsibility, I firmly believe that the Transformation Agenda as enunciated by the Jonathan Presidency is the best hope for economic prosperity for the generality of Nigerians and the best window for the realization of the national renewal we have all yearned for in order to fulfill our manifold destiny. I am also under no illusion as to the indices that will influence the place of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in our history. Given the goals he has set for himself, it is my considered opinion that after his first term in office and beyond, the Transformation Agenda which seeks to overhaul the country and launch it on the path to prosperity will form the critical mass which critics will use to judge his performance in office. Having been involved in articulating the vision driving this agenda in the Housing sector and as a Minister saddled with the responsibility of bringing to fruition the lofty vision of the Transformation Agenda, I make bold to say that even the most implacable critics of this administration will agree that despite the enormous challenges which the Jonathan administration faces, visible attempts are being made today to overcome these challenges and bring about a new order of prosperity for the generality of the populace. |
*******It hurts them you ended their subsidy fraud******** **You sold off NEPA and ended their fraudulent NEPA contracts. **You removed ghost workers from civil service and reduce their wealth. **You refused to renew their oil blocks license they shared among themselves. **You handed NPA verification to a third party and eliminated port frauds. **It hurts them you stopped the bootlegging in fertilizer distribution. **You hurt them by making sure they don't hoard petroleum product and Nigerians will sleep at filling stations while they make astronomical profits. **You pinched them where it hurts most by making sure elections are free and fair & they can't impose their candidates on us. **You hurt the cabal by looking into their face and telling them no sir. **We know Tinubu, Amaechi, Rochas & co. don't love Nigeria more than us.***you restored rail system that gulp billlions of naira yearly, it hurts them *** You have made Nigeria proud with cars now produced in Nigeria up to 70% local content. Many car merchant and corruption in auto mobile industry stopped **We know GMB is a man of integrity and strict to what he believes. But we also know those pushing him have a hidden agenda. They have bullied you, lie against you, insulted you and make Nigeria insecure just to get back to business as usual. But I promise you sir, they will not bully our votes, we will go to the poll blindfolded for you. For their peace will be too costly! If you love Nigeria please repost to all your contacts! |

Jonathan May Not be the Best, But He has Done What Past Leaders Could Not Do. - Alhaji Shehu Shagari. The first Executive president of Nigeria Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari has broken his silence after 32years of overthrown by Maj General Muhammadu Buhari In his rare interview with AIT news reporter in Sokoto state yesterday and the former President said as below: "Jonathan may not be the best, but I can mention 3 to 4 breakthrough in Nigeria that occurred under his 5 years in office "Under Jonathan's administration, train is back in Nigeria after about 30yrs of neglect. In fact, my 27 years old grandchild boarded train for the first time in his life in 2014. His Administration is the first Government to construct over 125 modern Almajiri schools and 12 Universities in a short frame of time. He is also first Nigerian leader to construct cargo Airports & ensure all zone in Nigeria has an International airport. His Administration is also the first Nigerian government to eradicate the high level corruption in the distribution of fertiliser and ghost workers . And the very first Government to start diversifying Nigeria, economy back to agriculture after Nigeria lost its agricultural glory in the 70s. Now I may ask Nigerians, what are Buhari's developmental strides as Nigerian Head of State?" Your Answer is as good as Mine, NONE for his whole time in office. - Hope For Nigeria. |
WHO IS BUHARI? * I have never seen any school built in his name. * I have never seen any borehole constructed by him. * There is no record of any scholarship awarded by him or for him nor through him. * I have never seen him use his tribal popularity to canvass for any charitable work nor any humanitarian effort, not even at the height of the polio scourge in the North where other purposeful and prominent leaders led the campaign for immunization. * No single text book has been donated to any school either by him, for him or through him. * Asides from doing nothing, he has not improved himself since his exit from office. * He has never written any book, no memoirs, no lectures, nothing. * The only thing of note he can point to are his numerous hate interviews on BBC Hausa service. * He never championed for a university in his state nor has he ever been involved in any kind of programme to better the lives of the Almajiris in Daura or North. * His entire existence has not led to any meaningful development in Daura village, yet they say he can change Nigeria. Doesn't charity begin at home again? * No wonder he was referred to as being ''perpetually unelectable''. * He is not a patron to any organization, group or association. * No professional body in Nigeria has ever invited him for their lecture, convention or gala night. * The only time any known form, body or human assemblage ever chose him to do anything for them was when the Boko Haram terrorist sect nominated him as their spokesman in the proposed talks with the Fed. Govt. * He recently joined twitter because of election. |
