Hello Everyone, we are now aware of the issue at hand, and I have been instructed to post the facts only, in the public domain.

1) On Monday evening, we received 3 very aggressive messages from a customer. Accusing us of cheating him and having a very threatening tone. The title of the email read "COMPLETE MY MONEY" Please see the messages below:

As far as we know, we have not had any previous communication with this customer regarding this issue or any other contention. So we investigated the bet he claimed we cheated him on, and here is the bet below:

It turns out that this customer does not know the difference between Asian Total Goals Over/Unders 2.75 and normal Total Goals Over/Under 2.5
He placed a bet of Asian Total Goals over 2.75 and the matched ended with 3 goals. (Can anyone kindly explain the difference to him please). The ticket was settled correctly, according to his bet and his money was paid into his account as normal. But the customer kept sending threatening messages that he will "NOT AGREE", etc. One of our agents decided to call him to explain, but his phone was ringing but no answer.

The new morning he came on the live chat to issue the same threats as before, claiming that we had cheated him. At that point the issue was escalated above customer services to the operations head and our customer service agent explained to him that we have been trying to call him to explain but he was not answering. Eventually, after issuing at least 3 threats via various mediums (Email, Live Chat), an assessment was made by our head of operations to offer him to withdraw his money and his account be closed. His money was paid to him within 2 minutes, and his account was closed. He was informed of this. We thought the matter was over, after all there are many bookmakers he can use, as we do not take threats to our agents lightly.

The very next day, this same man sneaks in to open another account, and deposits 2,000 Naira. (Please note, if he was so upset with megabet, why is he coming to open another account?). Of course this is against our terms and conditions, so the new account he opened was closed immediately. And this morning, the 2,000 he funded to the account was sent back to his account in full (Note that we incur charges to refund his money in full).

Since then, the man has been sending email upon email with threats and anger. This just goes to prove that our boss made the right decision to say "thanks but no thanks".

The decision has been made Sir, we apologise to you but we will not be offering our services to you because you violated our terms of service by threatening us and our agents and making false and baseless accusations out of lack of understanding of what you bet on. There are many bookmakers, you can choose any one of them. This matter is closed. Thank you.


N.B. So this entire claim that Megabet cheated him is down to a simple fact that this customer does not know the difference between Asian Total Goals, and ordinary Total Goals. They stole my money yesterday and shut down my account. They stole my money too this evening with my winnings and shut down the new account i opened cos bonanzawin still refused to open and i had sure bet. I have proofs and screenshots. They also called and threatened me yesterday. All these cos i mailed them i called them cheat over a lil misunderstanding.

You guys should avoid that site i warn! Avoid them. Collect all ur money and run. Don't let their flashy interface deceive u. That site is runned by scumbags.

No one could reply or explain how a winning ticket that i have pictures of went missing, the next thing was to have me banned. You just lost a customer and you'll continue to lose more. You are a trashy company and have no business ethics. A simple response to clarify what went wrong would have sorted everything out BUT you opted for the cowards way. And Nairaland too didnt have the common decency to look into the matter or even hear from both sides. Check your records, at least 8 people have withdrawn their balances and closed their accounts as of TODAY. And you wonder why the other bookies are getting new customers daily.
