Xano: To an extent, I understand the Minister's explanation. The issue of electricity is the main challenge for Telecom Companies. Daily usage of Diesel generators are quite expensive, erodes on their profit, affect staff welfare to some extent, delays their infrastructure upgrade, etc.
But Honorable Minister knows the issue of Electricity is the Government's responsibility.
They should promote Nigeria.
Make Nigeria attractive to investors.
Stop incitement and lies which they've been doing. You don't, use mouth to, among others incite, aggravate, spread lies, then, use the mouth to try and promote a country; your audience know the truth.
Government should involve seasoned professionals, give them liberty to help; not via nepotism or tribal or religious means.
If they(Government) choose not to be better, decide to increase price of mobile data, in addition to other increase of basic amenities, security issue would be their top priority. I doubt if you read the article |

Nigeria just ordered Pakistani platforms and you think training with a different platform is the right call? Nigeria doesn't owe your ignorance any courtesy. First for your info I know more about our military than you think.. so in your mind now you think you have more Nigerian Armed forces experience than me ? Don't make me laugh |

jpphilips: its a trainer for fvcks sake Who doesn't know this plane will be used in combat in the NE in the coming days ..that's how we bought Alphas as primary jet trainers in the 80s and they turned raptors for our Airforce..if the Govt wanted a trainer they would have bought the MFI 17 Mushshak and not the Super Mushak which cost a lot more than the primary light trainer MFI 17 |

Xbee007: Idiot! A trainer aircraft is totally different from a fighter jet. Na lie oo..this is how we purchased Alphas as jet trainers in the 80s and before you know it turned into everything...Besides this is the Super Mushshak and not the light Mushak that is reserved for training ..The super Mushshak is actually suited for light ground attack in the mould of the Tucanos we were denied |

tdayof: Jf17 is multirole. UPDF flankers do not pose any threat to us.
Large RCS = Red flag and not as advanced as her counterparts. The J17 will really be an upgrade for our Airforce the this time ,I pray the make the orders with the truth testes klmnov engines than the Chinese variation because that would make the difference in sustained flights |

tdayof: Don't type shiit.. That's a trainer and moreover, we're expecting three JF-17 soon. The 2 seat version is the reason for the delay. How can a country with 170 million people to protect not have some air superiority fighter or capability..The J17 will clearly still not fit that role ..If Uganda can get the flanker C what is stopping us please . As it is now we don't have an Airforce capable of stopping or intercepting another Airforce ..The J7 can't do that, the Alpha can't do that also . |

ahaz: imagine my brother? I even mistaken it for the British spit fire...let buhari himself fly that trash The spitfire is a more complex plane than this please ..you cant compare both ..the spit fire machine gun could fire round in between its propeller and this contraption cant... See below image of the Supermarine spitfire and Mushshak ,it's clear the spit fire is far more complex in design , aerodynamics and performance

dopedealer: What do you know about guns ? Do you need to be told that Ak47 is obsolete The govt can acquire tavor , garlin or even F2000 For this men ready to serve there country. I hope i answered ur question. Its called a Gatlin not a garlin and it's not even an assault rifle |
Politics › Re: Ground Vehicle Acquired By The Nigerian Army From The UK by idupaul: 12:09pm On Dec 06, 2016 |
adegeye38: Ak47 fires 600 rounds in a minute, though its the cyclic rate of power, The combat rate of fire is: Semi auto: 40r/min Burst: 100r/min Distance 300 metres
The M16 Fires at 700-950 rounds per minute Distance 3600 metres My friend the lethal distance of an AK 47 is 1500 metres while for the M16 its 900 metres .. While the maximum range for the M16 is 2700 metres and for the AK47 is 2300m |

MONITZ: Abeg, nor mind that guy, he proves to be a wiseacre and meanwhile he knows nothing,i ve seen his comments severally.Even though I am not a gun buff, I know AK -47 still can't be the most sophisticated, reason being that it was first produced a long time ago and with the advancement made every now and then in researches in military stuff, I doubt if it will still be high up there.
I even believe that the TAVOR range of assualt rifles mostly used by our D. S. S operatives re more balanced than the AK - 47. Criteria for ranking assault rifles is a lot and aesthetics grabs the least .. Most people are just wowed by the cosmetic cladding of newer rifles and not their overall performance ..I have been a rifle enthusiast for many years and i havent still seen an Assault rifle ranking that the AK47 didn't top. We all love the Tavor for its looks but its actually just a close quarter combat carbine meant for door to door combat, in a real theatre they wont compare to an AK 47 in most yards http://www.thetoptens.com/best-assault-rifles/ |
Politics › Re: Ground Vehicle Acquired By The Nigerian Army From The UK by idupaul: 11:44am On Dec 06, 2016 |
lekkie073: Tavor is used by special ops dept like the DSS in Nigeria. u can't trust a Tavor rifle to be effective in a war situation in a hot climate They dont know and you cant blame them .. They cant even tell the Tavor is a close qtr carbines suited close qtr combat situations like you likely see between Isreali forces and Hijackers |
Politics › Re: Ground Vehicle Acquired By The Nigerian Army From The UK by idupaul: 11:41am On Dec 06, 2016 |
adegeye38: Guy, no army uses ak47s again, except armies of third world countries like somalia, Afghanistan and other african countries, but not by an army of our standing, it is also mostly used by terrorists.
The ak47 the NAF are using was designed in 1947 and started production 1949 -1959, barrel: 7.62 × 39mm .
New assault rifles are now being produced with, better accuracy, light weight, easy handling, and can be used to launch grenades, like the MI6, m4 and beryl assault rifles etc http://www.thetoptens.com/best-assault-rifles/There is no assault rifle ranking that the AK47 does not top... What is Tavor, just a fucking close combat carbine |

IRobot7: Someone should please educate me. What is the difference between a Bazooka and an RPG? Need comments pls, thanks. The RPG is basically a grenade with a mini solid propellant rocket attached to its base to help the grenade cover distance that the hand or spring loaded grenade launchers cant.... While the Bazooka is a recoiless anti tank Rocket armed with High Explosive Charge. |
