It is only enough to meet income requirement, you will still need to provide all necessary documents for PR on province nominee class checklist IMM 0199 Form.
. what's giving us concern is this issue of Proof of Fund, wether she needs to show a particular amount of money or not.

You will only need to show work permit employment letter or pay stub/bank statements to meet prove of funds if you are already in Canada with work permit or authorisation to work.
You don't need to meet minimum funds requirements with the above,In PNP or federal immigration program.
Thank you my dear for your response.God bless you.Meanwhile,we are family of five, though my wife and three step children are already in Canada, while am still in Nigeria.Do all these documents you mentioned covers 5 of us for our PR application?.

I looked it up for you and confirmed on Reddit, The general rule is that proof of settlement funds is waived for applicants currently authorised to work in Canada and hold a valid job offer.

When in the final stage of filling the express entry pops up and it asks her to upload proof of funds. A Letter of Explanation attached to a few pay stubs should generally suffice.

I think more knowledgeable people would still provide answers if I'm wrong.
Thank you so much.I really appreciate your good response.I hope to hear more from other gurus in the house.Thanks.

Bros no vex o, in the interest of clarity, openness, accountability and maintaining anonymity on a public forum in a low trust society, I ask that you ask your questions in the open so that others might benefit and more experienced people might be able to respond.

I don't have any special insight, everything I know comes from GPT, reading this thread from Part 4, friends, family and Reddit.
Good afternoon, please i need an advice. My Wife and 3 kid step children moved to Canada in May 2026 with Work permit and study permit respectively. We did Court Wedding 10th of January 2026.Meanwhile,she is a Registered nurse with Job offer as a Registered nurse in a hospital in Alberta Canada and she have resume work in June 2026.Am still in Nigeria. However,My wife was Nominated under Alberta Advantage immigration program Non-Express entry and Invited to apply for PR and we planned to apply for PR by December 2026.My question is,Do we still need to show Proof of Fund when submitting our PR application?, because i according to what i read in IRCC website page, there is where they stated that,if an applicant have Job offer and Work permit she or he don't need to show Proof of Fund(Settlement Fund) when applying for PR.Pls i really need more clarification about it and know if such applies to my wife suitation too, because my wife whom is a Registered nurse have Job offer and Work permit, and already working as a Registered nurse in Alberta Canada.Pls let all gurus in the house respond to me please.I will appreciate if i get good reply from every here.Thank you.

Her current application does not mention she's married. She'll have to first of all update her profile that she re-married before you can be added in the PR application.
She intend to renew her AAIP Nomination certificate soon.so she intend to update her status in the profile and inform IRCC of our marriage during PR application.I believe that's ok.pls reply.

Having 65 points when the minimum requirement is 60 does not automatically mean you should receive an invitation. The 60 points simply make you eligible to enter the SINP pool.

Looking at the screenshot you shared, the more important detail is that your entire score comes from Labour Market Success (65 points), while you have 0 points under Saskatchewan Connection and Adaptability.

That means you currently do not appear to have factors such as:

* Saskatchewan work experience
* Saskatchewan study history
* Close family in Saskatchewan
* Other Saskatchewan adaptability factors

In many immigration programs, candidates with stronger provincial ties can have an advantage over candidates who only qualify through human-capital factors.

Another thing to consider is that SINP invitations are not always based on total points alone. Saskatchewan may conduct targeted draws based on occupation demand, labour shortages, licensing requirements, or other selection criteria. So it is possible for someone with 65 points to remain in the pool while another candidate with a lower score receives an invitation because their occupation or profile better matches the draw criteria.

Since you've been in the pool for 7 months, I think the key questions are:

1. What is your NOC code or occupation?
2. Which SINP stream did you apply under?
3. Is your occupation regulated in Saskatchewan?
4. Do you have any Saskatchewan job offer, work experience, study history, or family connection?

Without that information, nobody can accurately determine why you have not been invited yet.

From the screenshot alone, the biggest clue is not the 65 points. It is the fact that you have 0/30 points under Saskatchewan Connection and Adaptability. Combined with the possibility of occupation-specific selection, that may explain why you are still waiting despite meeting the minimum threshold.
Good evening, please i will like to confirm very important information please. My wife was a Widow with three children before we Legally got married on 10th January 2026.She already got Her Work permit since October 2025,and got study permit for the 3 children. Then Travel to Canada May 2026.Meanwhile,she got Job offer as a Registered nurse before traveling to Canada. Then, since she traveled to Canada, all the Forms she filled so far, both at the Bank in Canada and at her workplace, she still filled "Widow" at the Marital Statue space.According to her,she wrote "Widow" to tally with what she has on her Work permit she used in coming in,and said that, she will declare our Marriage to IRCC and start writing Married, when applying for our PR, which will include me in her PR application. My question is,since she already filled "Widow" instead of Married in her bank forms and Workplace forms over there in Canada, because of what she already have in her work permit, but planned to declare our Marriage to IRCC and start writing Married when she start applying for our PR,will such cause any problem? Or affect our PR application?. Meanwhile,am still in Nigeria waiting for when she will start PR application process.I will really appreciate your response please.Thank you.

If you didn't claim point for the job, you don't need reference letter for it. Do not remove it. List it again in your personal history and move on.

You must file all your work history in the last 10 years even if you're not claiming point for them (this will look like you are updating work history activity twice).

IMO, seems like in-land spousal PR sponsorship after you land in his warm bosom may be the path to go as he is in Canada already.
Good thing u informed IRCC after you got married.

Perhaps you or husband can call IRCC for best “choice” in your unique situation. Or send webform.
Kindly note that IRCC has recently been trying to check all the spousal accompanying/unaccompanying loophole. Some people’s applications getting rejected sef.
If na me, I for collect visa land first. Then start inland spousal sponsorship immediately. Hopefully within 6months to 1 year baba sef go get PR. He won’t even notice the time fly as he’ll have your companionship 😃😍

A consultants plays a sort of advisory role based on his/her experience. For instance I paid a popular immigration consultant (kubeir kamar) about USD100 for a 20 minute consultation in 2022 to find out the best option for my then fiancee. Her score was 481 then and the man said no chance that her score was too low. But in March 2023 the scores dropped to 481 (General draw) and she got an ITA. She became a PR 8 months later. There is no formula to these things.
Good morning sir, please like how much do you think it can cost to meet and consult a good immigration Lawyer in Canada presently?. Especially in Alberta. Please reply.Thanks.

Oh boy, the case is really fragile. I suggest you talk to a licensed immigration consultant. I’m not a licensed immigration consultant, but I always share my opinion on cases like this. https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

So, if I were doing this, here’s how I would do it:

Keep your story simple, consistent, and truthful — no need to over-explain.

Make sure dates (e.g., marriage, communication, travel) match across forms and documents.

Avoid any missing information on children’s birth certificates — it’s okay if their surname is different; just explain that they are from her first marriage and are her dependents.

A. Documents to Prove a Genuine Relationship / Marriage

IRCC looks for proof that your marriage or relationship is real, not just for immigration purposes.
Here’s what you can include — the more evidence, the better:

Core (Legal) Documents
1. Marriage certificate (when available — in your case, after the court wedding in 2026).
2. For now:
Traditional marriage or bride price receipt
Affidavit of marriage/customary union signed by elders or witnesses.
Photos from the traditional ceremony or family events.

Relationship History Proof

3. Communication proof — WhatsApp, call logs, social media messages (only a few pages, not everything).
4. Money transfer or joint financial support — e.g., if you send her or the children money regularly.
5. Shared plans and documents — e.g., conversations about the kids, travel plans, your names together on any document (rental, bills, etc.).
6. Photos together — from visits, family events, with children, with relatives.

Family Connection Proof

7. Birth certificates of the children — clearly showing their mother’s name.
8. Marriage affidavit or statement explaining your role as stepfather and your relationship with them.

All these together show you live as a genuine family— not a paper marriage.

B About the Stepchildren (Your Wife’s Children from Her Late Husband)

This is a very common and well-understood situation by IRCC.
Here’s how to handle it properly

Step 1: Relationship to the Children

Your wife will list them as her dependent children in her work permit and PR application.
Their father is deceased — so your wife has sole custody (she should have a death certificate of her late husband).
IRCC will not ask for consent from a deceased parent once the death certificate is provided.

Step 2: Your Relationship as Stepfather

When she applies for PR and includes you:
You will be listed as her spouse (husband),
The children will be listed as her dependents,
And IRCC will automatically recognize them as your stepchildren.

You don’t need to adopt them formally, unless you choose to later for personal reasons — but for immigration, stepchild status is enough but the issue is extablishing a good strong case that its not a paper marriage

C Before the Court Wedding (Right Now)

Because you’ve only done the bride price (customary marriage) so far, that’s still recognized under IRCC rules as long as it is legal and valid in your culture

You should prepare:

A Letter of Explanation (simple one-page) stating:

You both performed a traditional marriage according to local custom,
Bride price was paid,
You plan to complete the court registration in February 2026,
You have been living as a couple and taking care of the children together.

Attach:
Photos of the traditional ceremony, Not too much hahahah please
Affidavit of customary marriage,
Proof of ongoing relationship (as listed above).

IRCC will accept this as a genuine spousal relationship — as long as everything matches your story. remember the story is very important

But again I suggest you talk to a licensed immigration consultant. I’m not a licensed immigration consultant, but I always share my opinion
Sir,I really appreciate and thank you so much for explaining all these to me.It will really go along for me, especially the issue of POF, because we have been thinking of where to get such huge amount for POF.Finally,we have decided to renew and extend her Nomination certificate for another Six months by then she might have enter Canada and start working in order to have good amount of money in her pay slip before submitting Application for our PR.God bless you so much.pls i will be glad to always update for more guidance.Thank you sir.

She applies for PR before traveling to Alberta or before starting work ✅ Yes (must show funds for family)
She enters Alberta, starts working for Alberta Health Services, then applies for PR (family of 5) ❌ No

IMO, it’s good for her to have some money in her account — not as much as someone applying from outside Canada, but a small amount is still important.

Keep all employment documents safe (job offer, pay slips, work permit copy, nomination certificate). Once she’s settled and has been working for a few months, her PR application will be much stronger — and you’ll all be covered under her status.

Remember your inclusion as the husband.

When she applies for PR:

She will be the principal applicant.

You and your three children will be listed as dependents.

You will not need to show a separate Proof of Funds (PoF) — her employment in Alberta will cover the family.

In the PoF section, she can include her job offer, pay slips, work permit copy, and nomination certificate together with a small amount of savings in her bank account (not a large sum, since she’s already in Canada and employed).
Thank you once again for your hand work and remain bless.Sorry for my too many questions.I just have few more questions please.Firstly, can you tell me the list of all the documents I need to show to proof how genuine our Relationship or Marriage is.Secondly,I only paid her bride price, but we intend to do Court wedding by Febuary 2026.Meanwhile,the three kids are from her first marriage, therefore they are my Step Children and there bear surname of her Late husband.pls how can we handle such situation?. and what am I to suppose do to get good results from IRCC.?.I hope to hear from you once again.ols

Good morning! 🙏 And congratulations to your wife — that’s a great position to be in.

so to answer your question here is it 👇

1. Proof of Funds (PoF) for Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) – Non-Express Entry

For most employer-driven AAIP streams (like the Alberta Opportunity Stream or Rural Renewal Stream), proof of funds is not required if:

The applicant is already working in Alberta, and
Has a valid job offer or is currently employed by an Alberta employer.

So once your wife enters Canada on a valid work permit and starts her job with Alberta Health Services, she won’t need to show separate proof of funds when applying for PR under that stream.

BUT

2. If She Applies Before Entering Canada

If she submits her PR application before arriving and before starting work, IRCC may request proof that she can support herself and any dependents.
But once she’s employed in Alberta, her job income serves as her financial support evidence.

so to cut the long story short

Proof of Funds Needed?
She is already in Alberta and working on valid work permit No
She is outside Canada and not yet working Yes (until she starts the job)

keep in mind

When she applies for PR, she should dinclude her job offer letter, employment contract, and pay stubs (if available) — these show she’s self-sufficient and remove the need for PoF.

I did the same when applying for PR. I was already working for a bank in Canada, and at the time I didn’t need to show the full proof of funds. I think the required amount was around $13K, but I only had $5K because I had just bought my 2nd car in Canada, which took most of my savings at that time back in 2020

I uploaded my six months’ pay stubs, tax return, employment letter, and rental agreement in the proof of funds section—all in one file
Thank you so much for your beautiful respond.God will continue to bless you more.In our case, she is processing her work permit and that of our 3 kids, because she wants to travel to Canada with them, while i join them later. Then,by the time she resume work with the Hospital that gave her job in Alberta and work like 3 months, and start to apply for her PR,and that of mine (husband) and that of our 3 kids, will Proof of fund still be Waive for us?(Family of 5)?.My point is that, will her statue cover all of us,in respect to Proof of fund issue?.pls sir,I will be glad if you can explain for me.Thanks.I hope to hear from you again sir.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Ifetech81: 2:14pm On Oct 06, 2025

Do not base your immigration plan on today’s news. Just like Ireland, the UK, and the USA, Canada will soon make immigration and PR pathways harder. Things will change get ready

(1) How many weeks does it usually take to receive a response after the medical test?
Ans: It really varies—sometimes a few weeks, sometimes a few months. If the visa officer isn’t sleeping on your case, it shouldn’t take too long. But with IRCC, you never know—they’re experts at teaching patience, haha.

(2) Job opportunities for science teachers in Canada
Ans: Well, nothing is guaranteed. Jobs are had to fine and you are not the only person qualified for that job so you have to get ready If people keep voting Liberal, the country will keep going downhill.
In 5 weeks from today, on November 4th 2025, we’ll know how much the government is spending on useless programs, running a high deficit and fueling inflation.

FYI, I make about $210,000/year with my wife own a house and Canadian citizen, and we’re already planning our escape plan, haha.

(3) Main goal is to study and hopefully settle there in the long term
Ans: After school, two years is a lot of time—and a lot can change. PR is never guaranteed, even if you come as a student. Yes, Canada is looking for teachers, but again—nothing is guaranteed.

Right now, Mark Carney is running a minority government, and we’ll likely see another election next year. If you’re hoping for an education-based Express Entry draw, remember it has only happened twice since Express Entry began in 2015.

The key lesson: don’t build your entire immigration plan on what’s happening today. Just like the UK, Canada will likely tighten immigration laws as time goes on, especially when people grow tired of promises without delivery.

That said, you have a good profile. Your plan through education is solid, and getting PR via that route is possible—but nothing is guaranteed, and much can change in two years.
Good afternoon sir,I want to enquire about something from you pls.Which healthcare program that has duration like One year can someone do in Canada and easily get job immediately after finish the program?.I have thought of Personal Support Worker and healthcare assistant.but please advise me on the ones that are in high demand.I hope to hear from you.Thanks.
