We have azumini river 20km emptying in the ocean, why can't we build our own seaport there, I don't like we always develop and grow other regions economy and we get hate and talk down on, we loss economy, GDP and IGR to them? Abia government talked about this port why can't SE Governors key into it?
This is about the progress of igboland which includes portharcourt. Igbo is an umbrella name for people who speak similar language with people who are predominantly in the south east. If you were talking about the south easterners who are majorly igbos, with mix of minority tribes here and there, that is a different topic for another day. Our agenda is to move igboland forward against all odds, against the expectations and agenda of her enemies roundabout her
We are doing this in Port Harcourt too and where igbos are indigenes, not just the southeast...And GOD is with us.
Similar thing was done for Russia, Sahel countries, Ethiopia, USA, etc, they cooperated, succeeded and are succeeding. Next is igbo land, and we are facing stiff resistance even from the "igbos". Something like this was never experienced before in places we worked in, except maybe alittle bit in Russia and Mali.
Russia for example is fighting to protect the interest of Russia speaking people that used to be Ukrainians. Those people identify with Russia even though they lived in another country. Why not the igbos. Why are you allowing yourself to be divided by those who hate you?

To exporters and importers, consider patronizing your own.
This is the kind of thing you were asking for, Seaports in Igboland, or Ports mostly for igbo exporters and importers — Ibeto Seaport and Terminal is one of them.
This wasn't gotten through violence or much complaining, but by GOD, and paying the ultimate sacrifice of Righteousness. It can easily become the best Seaport, just trust.

By the way, I know many of you are too focused on politics, probably thinking you can defeat them on your own. It is almost impossible task but only by GOD can defeating them be possible.
However, they will lose, not because you did it, but GOD will do it. This is under one condition though, which will be difficult for them (the ruling party) to fulfill. It was deliberately made difficult so that they will be defeated. Currently they are becoming too confident, and this is also deliberate, to make the opposition doubt their ability to win, and say things like 'only GOD or by miracle can they be defeated" which ofcourse is true, if you understand how the system works... They have been chosen by the system to win, but GOD's Will will prevail.
Here is something that may surprise you, you don't really need the Presidency nor do you need it to succeed. If it eventually comes to you, I will advice you say no, or not to be desperate. But if you choose to take it, well, you will understand what it takes to be a leader in a slave system.
Next is to connect mostly SouthEast by rail down to Port Harcourt and the Seaport.
This is by Enugu Governor

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by IgboProgress:
We want Anambra to be the best in igboland but the most humble one will be the best/greatest. That is how things are designed to work. It's like the maths formula of the Universe that no one can circumvent... They could only try to hide the truth by faking greatness..

The most humble (true humility) in a family becomes the greatest, while the proud is humbled. If you are truely great it's because you are humble. If you are becoming worthless, it's likely due to pride.

However, I'm encouraged by the fact that the governor, who is the state's head, seems quite humble. It's unlike the typical primitive culture of the unbelievers (not the awaken igbos) he rules over, who are full of pride and are worshippers of the rich and mighty. The governor must discourage this culture so that the state may be the greatest.

Where are the talents? I mean the young talents? I heard the governer complaining the other day that their brothers and sisters from other states are taking over and doing works anambra people are ashamed to do. How can you be truely productive without being humble again?, Instead they celebrate things of pride in a state that desperately needs strong productivity and organized hardworking talents. Where is the apprenticeship you are known for? Can you be humble enough to do "boi boi" today? The ongoing techhub needs lots of boi boi kind of workers to thrive even better than what is obtained in China. Perhaps the governor should heavily involve the humbled ones from other igbo states to create the tech revolution the state and igboland desperately need. I'm open to strong inclusion of other tribes in the workforce, esp Christains who love igbos. There are lots of humble northerners both in the center region and core north. They'll grow to become the ogas of the proud indigenes, so that they (the indigenes) may be humble and eventually become great again.

This should make him realize that moving to a party where he thinks his victory in next election is guaranteed (which won't happen if he doesn't perform well) is not an excuse to become layback and unprofitable.
The otherside is filled with darkness that can easily put a bright mind to sleep. He needs to connect less with them, if possible, disconnect completely, (never let them distract him from working for his state) and focus on his people who voted him to work for them rather than the other.

You also need factories, researchers, possible collaboration with universities & tech companies, technical advisers, marketers, customer services, etc

Bro can someone actually get an office space there. Asking for a friend.
An actual tech hub would function like a body (human body for example), with different parts of the body serving different roles, and the head coordinating the activities of the different parts, or the rest of the body to solve problems.
So, you should expect the governments renting or giving out spaces for different startups, businesses, organisations, etc, in tech related areas, who would work collaboratively to repair and produce prototypes and full working products.. For example, you could have different startups that are specialized in different areas in laptop, phone, electronics productions/repairs, plus companies that gather, or sort of outsource parts they need in order to create full working products.

In this kind of setup, you could have people coming to the tech hub to work under the guidance of talents who have mastered their roles, to learn how to make things. Plus customers coming in to buy different parts and the full products.

I think igbo societies should try to focus on their area of strength by utilizing mostly local talents to develop organically, or in a way that's culturally unique to them. You don't need to over copy the more advanced nations so that you don't make the mistake of applying incompatible roles, solutions, or ways of solving problems to very different situations.
Roles or talents that are needed in the tech-hub for the production and repairs of different products could be identified, searched for, and the spaces rented out to them, given free of charge or at a subsidized rate, then you get a tech Head and subheads who are vast in different roles to coordinate the activities of the talents and use them to fix & produce parts and full products. The heads could simply focus on creating prototype products, and get the talents to produce them in parts, then assemble or merge the parts into single product(s)
Whatever can't be produced there could be imported from other places.

A part of me doesn’t want to believe they’re actually Igbo. It would be tragic if they are Igbo with this kind of divisive mindset….
That's the typical "igbo" behavior, but of the primitive/traditional origin. If they feel threatened/betrayed or the enemy oppresses them too much they start fighting each other to survive or to please the enemy.

And it's important to note that the primitives are usually the lowliest of slaves in a society in bondage. The are controlled directly by the slave master or by top slaves. When you notice the behavior it's better to focus your attention more on the slave master and use the right Words he fears alot to fight him, otherwise there is nothing much you can do, because even if you take them down many others will spring up to take their place

* Please let's understand the difficult situation they are in. There are those who genuinely love the igbo but the dark side or anger overwhelms them.
Such should be handled differently compared to those who have been here since 2014 or longer hating the igbos and their states.

Remember, it's easy to build large structures if you have enough money, but without ways of sustaining them they can easily fail or become dilapidated unless you keep sustaining them in parasitic manner from what other sectors or projects are contributing, to prevent them from becoming dilapidated.
To sustain them, they should be profitable/valuable enough to become viable for their continuous maintainance and improvements by private sectors or the state. The amount of contribution the projects bring to the state should be higher than what they recieve for their sustenance. And the contributions shouldn't necessarily be financial, it can come in form of productivity, knowledge and general well-being of the state.

So when next you ask the governor to build this or that, help recommend ways to sustain them so that the state does not own structures here and there that take a lot to maintain but contribute little to nothing.

Well, nothing stops a homegrown railway project in southeast from being accomplished. The funding is not a problem. Cannot be stopped by any human. It's now left for
the SE governors to decide.
I believe enugu state governor is more determined and will be supported by majority his people. I believe he will succeed (LORD Willing). I like his idea of linking the whole southeast with rail lines. The individual states can connect to the lines whenever they are ready.
I hope Soludo can deal with Anambra people. Probably needs alot convincing to do. Could try townhall meetings or something like that.

More support for Enugu. Impressed by the governor's determination.
By the way, the state recently launched an Airline.I remember someone on a TV station trying to discourage the governor. But he never looked back. That is progress. I like how the state is running the Airline. I believe it will easily become the best.

Anambra needs industrial layouts and needs to partner with the Chinese who know how to organize and operate it. The education level of the state is reasonably ok. The industrial layouts they should focus on are shoes, garments, textiles, building materials and food processing with a plan for 500 factories employing at least 100,000 people.

They need to get gas pipelines into the state and supply captive power plants in Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka. That is what Mark Okoye and SEDC should focus on first before railway.
Simply partner with the best, not necessarily the Chinese. They can search for the best who are from Anambra, if no one is found, they try South East, if not in South then try other igbo states, if not in igbo states, try other friendly places.

In regards to focusing on pipelines before railway, I think it should be well researched or thought about so that the state or investor get reasonable return on investment or high value return for what is invested.
If you ask me, I would suggest they go for something with multiple uses and not just a single-purpose product or infrastructure for the transportation of gas. Railway could be use to transport alot of things, and is typically very profitable if you consider the fact the heavy goods such as certain raw materials can be easily transported for export and attract reasonable amount of fees.
If you want to buy something, it's better to go for those with multiple uses so you don't have to spend more money on more products to solve the problems that can be handled by the multi-purpose ones you bought. You may only go for the single purpose ones if you highly depend on them, if they are better or if you can't find the multipurpose alternatives.

Not saying the gas pipelines aren't important, but more concerned about cost and profitability. The state could simply build the pipelines where they are necessary (sort of local distribution hubs), like around industrial areas, then transport the gas from the source/sources via trains to the hubs for delivery to the industrial areas, homes etc. This should cost less to build and wouldn't require too much pipes or spaces which are likely very limited

Impressive pictures of Awka! Clearly Soludo has put a lot of work in Awka....and its showing! Our business men should please come on board with more leisure and social facilities....the kind of crowd I saw at the opening of the park suggests that awka residents have been starved of such facilities for a long time!
Should be careful spending too much time and money on fun.
Those things(time and money) should be spent more on productive things or for talent developments, more like having fun learning centers for mastering ones talent.

More fun centers would be great if they're made mostly for people to come learn and compete in things they're talented in or passionate about... Things that can be used for the good of society.
They could become places to groom and nurture talented swimmers, pilots, coders, chess players, football players, transporters, eco-friendly estate developers...basically anything that can be properly learned via physical and virtual gaming. I think people would pay alot to gain access to such facilities since they can be used to develop oneself and earn a living. Alot of people would also pay fees just to be spectators

Anyway, hope they don't get too attached to this things to the extent of spending too much time and money on them. Better to spend more time and money on good things that can be used to benefit society, more than you benefit yourself.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by IgboProgress:
The ground is probably too hard for the grasses to grow or the grasses aren't getting the right kind foods...
And the right grasses suitable for the environment should also be considered.

By the way, the color of the soil does suggest it needs more orginic manure to make it dark and rich in nutrients..
They can just get the dark soil from somewhere else or apply the manure directly and transplant new grasses to cover all the exposed ground.

Not that difficult to create nutrients-rich soil. They could do it on large scale probably with tractors or small/medium scale by gathering the red soil together with different organic materials like soft plants, animal wastes, etc, and allow them to decompose and become dark, then spread the soil back. This is part of the reason oyibo grasses tend to look lush green and well spread out. They feed their grasses well. I hope people can go into this business and recieve patronage from governments, estates, companies, etc

Disregard the street vlogging...... but check out the town planning of Limassol, Cyprus! This is the minimum standard we ought to aim for in Anambra.................. It can be done, but everyone has to pull in the same direction! Soludo has tried but a lot of work still needs to be done; he has to inspire and persuade the investing anambra public to lend a hand too! Our people are way too aloof or is it alienated about government activities........we must begin to introduce a spirit of volunteering and social activism in our kids,,, from elementary school!

I do not see any reason why the Anambra State government will dualize roads in Onitsha GRA, provide walkways, provide solar streetlights, and residents do not contribute at least financing for the tree planting efforts or providing refuse trash cans/bins! Soludo has taken his town hall meetings to lagos, abuja and London ........but our people can be a bit docile until you learn to enforce your will! time no dey again!
Ofcourse.
I think what makes a place beautiful or attractive regardless of building types or what you construct the roads with (as long as they clean, bright colored, possibly uniform and longlasting/high quality) is orderliness. The streets, buildings, roofs, roads, walkways, vehicles, street tradings, markets, parks, grasses, flowers etc have to be in order rather than in disorder. It wouldn't cost much to keep certain things in order.

If road side trading must be allowed in certain places they must be in order. The state govt should set a standard on the kind of structures that can be used for trading. I prefer uniform structures with lines that shouldn't be crossed.
The grasses have to be dressed and uniformed. Parkings have be uniform and orderly. The buildings have to bright colored, well maintained and orderly.

Whatever is allowed in the city has to be in order. If you do this for the sake of safety it will be easy to implement or convince the people to obey.

The Proposed 80-Year Concession of Enugu International Airport: A Call for Urgent Action!

The recent announcement by the Tinubu administration to concession the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu for 80 years is deeply troubling and should raise serious concerns among the people of Enugu and the entire Igbo community.

To begin with, Akanu Ibiam International airport, Enugu, is one of only five international airports in Nigeria. Yet, unlike the others, it has been limited to just one international airline, while the remaining four enjoy access to at least three or more. This restriction is both unjust and discriminatory.

.........
Well, this kind of news, whether true or not, is part of the reasons we want South East to be somewhat independent of federal government. Build and control the necessary infrastructures yourselves in order to feel more independent than others. No amount of money is too big to get when it comes to building viable infrastructures. So, you don't really need the federal government. They will need you more than you need them especially for the purpose of winning elections...just focus on doing the right things. It's a very insecure and desperate federal government by the way. It can go to any direction to get support for its party that does not come from the heart. I think only the weaker ones will fall for it, and once you fall you lose focus and start playing politics even with state developments instead of serving your people and doing what's right which is way more effective than politicking

What's happening in the South East (Enugu, Anambra and Abia) should serve as proof that you don't need to be in "ruling party" to develop.
By the way, it's not really a progressive party. It's more retrogressive than progressive hence why things are the way they are. Look at what is happening in ebonyi. It seems proper progress was taken away ever since it fell in the hands of the so called progressive party. Nothing I've read so far about imo is interesting

Development is not just about building infrastructures. It has to be purposeful. If you are building a car for example, you dont just build whatever you want. You need to build different parts that fit and work perfectly together to make the car drive flawlessly. This is a secret that few governors especially from the south eastern states have that others don't. Others lack the secret because of what or who they choose to associate with. If what you associate with hates igbo progress, you'll not develop like others.

Please be thankful for what you currently have in the South East states. It's rare and may never happen again.
If the Airport needs better management in order to be profitable, let enugu state (or Enugu/igbo patriot) take over, afterall states build federal roads. Taking responsibility can prevent undue interference from the federal government.
Interestingly, the Airport was an achievement of Stella Odua and a government they accused of doing little to nothing. That should atleast make a normal person feel shame and guilt. If she hadn't developed the Enugu Airport, it would probably have been neglected
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by IgboProgress:
People should be happy or willing to pay their taxes in the East. To make this possible, they should know what their taxes are used for and possibly benefit from them. The problem is the manner people are taxed. I believe it should be done with their consents, and there should be option to opt-out of a taxing scheme if they are not satisfied, but that would mean not getting adequate services or infrastructures.

There should be incentives for paying taxes.
Should be possible to let tax payers track their taxes or recieve alerts when the taxes are used for what they are meant for. This will help convince them that their taxes are well utilized and won't be misused or stolen. Imagine how fulfilling it will be to know that your tax was used to build a particular road or pay for a particular service. You'll be happy to pay another time.
Penalty for not paying taxes could simply be a limited use of infrastructures and services funded by taxes, personally getting involved in some community services like clearing gutters, cutting grasses etc

It's not wise to travel out for greener pasture when you can make your region better than where you are running to work in. But I respect those who travel for the sake of developing Eastern region rather than to enjoy or selfish reasons.

It's better to use that money you earn here or abroad to build industries, good schools, real estate etc, than building private mansions or things that only benefit you.

The governor should continue from where Stella Odua stopped or even make it far better. I remember she tried developing a section for exporters in Enugu airport. I wonder how far they have gone with that. You need such thing more for export and import

I wish the money was spent on vehicle manufacturing company/companies in the region, and the companies learn to buy from Enugu, in mutually beneficial (buy from me and I buy from you) manner. Ofcourse, this is one of the reasons the states don't usually patronize one another. But it has to be discouraged and there should a deliberate policy to encourage good customer service and high quality products, which is another reasons there is lack of strong patronage amongst the states.

But if the Governor couldn't patronize them because of lack of needed features, less quality products/customer services or for affordability sake, then I respect his choice.
I hope the region gradually move away from this craze for foreign products. They should patronize countries that patronize the region, better still, the countries they patronize should patronize the region also.

Economies are all about connectivity. A rail line to Lagos expands access to market. Igbos should not be limited. Soludo and all SE gov should campaign for the SEDC to get federal money on their books to build that railway that connects major SE cities to Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. Na Nigeria we dey. Same goes for gas pipelines which have all bypassed the SE.

The sooner we fight for our right the better off we will be. After all when it comes down to paying off Nigerias debt they don't ask whether it's SE or SW. Everyone pays for it together.
I believe the South East market is big enough to sustain the region... It needs to be further developed. Some top priority needs that could make urgent external expansions necessary are easy access to raw materials, natural resources and import and export.

Once the internal market is well developed, big expansions to other regions will happen naturally and no one will think you are coming to their regions in search of greener pasture.
I want the railway idea to be viable enough for investors especially from Igbo Nation to show interest. It's important to minimize the risk of borrowing to fund projects that end up unprofitable just like some unprofitable projects that currently exist in Nigeria. You should also consider what will become of transporters like ABC, Peace, Ifesinachi etc with cheap government owned trains. The private sector should help run the trains.

Concerning the bolded part...
The so called Nigeria debt will end up hurting those who benefitted from it without paying back. Beside, the debt is not equally distributed like they want some to believe. What you owe is proportional to how much you benefitted from. You owe no one any debt if you:
* contribute more than you borrow or take from others.
* don't take what belongs to others without giving back. This is why it's important to work hard, spend mostly on things/people that would be profitable enough to promptly pay back what was invested in them.
* don't spend or overspend unnecessarily.

Whoever takes away what you did not owe is actually owing you. If they owe you you gain more advantage over them. So no one can charge or overcharge you what you didn't owe without you graining something in return.
This is deep things of life most people are ignorant of
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by IgboProgress:
There are many ways to fund "capital intensive" projects like railway without overcharging the passengers or struggling to pay back loans.

The state government could help lease the surrounding lands along the railway lines (up to a quarter of it) to railway investors at very low rate or free of charge. The investors could build or/& rent out the lands for real-estate, agric, hotels, recreation centers and other profitable ventures. These can help in paying back the loan.
By the way, the leased lands, if well developed could serve as tourist attractions to passengers who may even pay higher to view or visit them

No need to over focus on Lagos or Abuja when the East can be way better in a short time. You could start considering those places when igboland have been well developed. Development should be from inside-out rather than outside first. Charity begins at home

GOD qualifies his ministers, evangelists or preachers with the Holy Spirit and by putting the Word of GOD in their hearts. .
If that preacher was qualified, he would be able to reply the governor with word of wisdom he wouldn't be able to resist, and in respectful manner. GOD through the Holy Spirit would be doing the talking.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Bans Street Preachers In Anambra by IgboProgress:
I think Soludo is trying to stop the loudspeaker preaching rather than banning preaching. Preaching gently in low tone (unless you are preaching to large listeners) and preaching what is right, in the market, to willing listeners, is good and won't be penalized. The issue he is trying to fix from what I understand is noisy and false preachings. All these are due to the deviation from the Word of GOD.
Nevertheless, no one can stop what GOD has ordained to be. There is a way to preach the gospel that is acceptable to GOD. CHRIST has showed us how to do it. If you are a true Christian, you should be following the footstep or doctrine of CHRIST. Learn how CHRIST and HIS apostles preached to people. But it's better to be qualified by GOD so you don't have to learn and learn it wrongly. PoliticsRe: Governor Soludo Confronts A Preacher Using Loudspeakers At An Anambra Market by IgboProgress:
With all due respect to the governor, the law should be modified to be more specific. Christian evangelism by real preachers can be done anywhere to willing listeners. It shouldn't be forced on others especially with loudspeakers. But loudspeakers could be used during emergency or to warn against danger.

Ofcourse, we know the governor means well. The noise pollution is becoming a serious issue that needs to be dealt with quickly before it gets out of hand. They should also focus on transporters, hotels, CD/music sellers, etc who use loudspeakers to promote their songs/businesses in markets.

Shouldn't have mentioned ikwerre, as they are igbos. It's like saying the French hate Europeans. How can they hate the Europeans when they themselves are Europeans? However, it may be right to say they hate other Europeans.

By the way, Ikwerre suffer thesame issue, as "blood is thicker than water". I remember how wike was not very much liked by them despite what he did to ipob. They were suspicious of him until he started distancing himself more from igbo. It's what you could call "igbo spirit or nature" that others are suspicious of.

But his character or nature is basically igbo, he cannot easily hide that one. It's like a lion pretending to be wolf.

It's the shared mindset, culture or what you could call attitude of the ikwerre/igbo that makes others hate them. Atleast it's part of the reason. Beside, the cultural bond or belief of the ikwerre is stronger with other igbo group than non-igbo group. This is part of what qualifies them as igbo, not just the language. It's one of the ways the sub-groups are categorized under their Group (igbo)
