and men walked without direction,
fearing what tomorrow might become.

Sleep no longer brings peace,

their sweat, their sacrifices, their dreams,

Their legacy trembles beneath corruption and fear,
while generations yet unborn
inherit uncertainty instead of promise.
Even Caesar no longer knows what truly belongs to him;
power has blinded the keepers of the throne,
and greed now speaks louder than conscience.
The god of justice seems to turn a blind eye,
while the innocent kneel beneath burdens
they never created.
Cries rise like smoke into the heavens,
yet answers return only as silence.
But firewood does not burn without leaving ashes behind.
Every flame leaves scars upon the earth,
reminders of what was consumed in the darkness.
And though kingdoms may celebrate while the fire rages,
the ashes remain as witnesses,
