TANKDESTROYER:

Yep...diseases can never be totally eradicated despite technological advancements....... even technological advancements......brought about more harm than good......

Do you have a good reason? Except scriptural reasons.

psucc:
I disagree that human advancement will reduce diseases.
Rather it will increase the number geometrically.

As we advance in technology, we just have to be conscious and think of negative impacts. Also we need to be deliberate in our activities to end diseases.

TANKDESTROYER:
it is impossible to have a disease free world

With all the things that humans have achieved. We are able to travel to space, we've built robots to act and think like us.

Is it possible to have a disease free world?

Human beings have built sky scrapers and have developed the most complicated technologies ever. But why are we still fighting to tackle all diseases. Ebola nearly swept entire country, just a tiny microscopic organism dealing with the full grown and intelligent animal ever.

We are discussing if a disease free world is possible, how will Africa contribute?

Let's start a discussion http://blog.ebolaalert.org/stayalert-week-2-today-a-disease-free-world-is-possible/

Running a business in Nigeria is gradually becoming a challenge especially with the ‘recession’ and the unwillingness of customers to let go of their last dollar to purchase luxury items that aren’t food.

What can you do now that things are tough? How can you get ahead especially with the economic recession especially because there are bills to pay? Like they say, only strategies win battle and here are some to consider:

Health / #stayalert Week 1: The ‘proclaimed’ Cure For AIDS And Other Stories by Ignitereaders: 5:30pm On Feb 10, 2017
Get this week’s update on health communication and Global Health Security.

This week, attention was towards Lassa fever as the media used the opportunity to drive their social engagement without conveying the actual information that should be. Lassa fever is on the increase and it's disease that thrives in dirty and unkempt environment as long as rats are allowed to build mansions in our environment, Lassa fever cases in West Africa will still persist. Then also the most interesting conversation, the cure for HIV/AIDS. Not even in this recession that someone has the energy to stomach unreliable claims. Research is still ongoing to confirm the claim of the HIV cure from a professor of veterinary medicine. Interesting report all summarized in the #StayAlert weekly update.

Politics / Which Would An Average Nigerian Pick? by Ignitereaders: 1:15pm On Jun 23, 2016
Time to browse Linda Ikeji and Jobberman looking for side gossips and job opportunity
Time to attend seminars and conferences for certificate's sake and to network
Time to think and think and worry about Nigerian situation
Time to stand and argue political matter every morning
Or Time to sit in a library, read, grow and develop.

It's a fact that successful people are also fresh idea generators. They continually keep their mind alive and soul abreast with information. Aside news and updates, the strategies and new ways to make things happen are in the middle of books.

Ali Baba, the most successful comedian in Nigeria is an avid read
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a respected statesman in Nigeria with great political and entrepreneurial acumen never end the day without reading a book.
Beyonce, the 'shake it and roll it' girl keeps churning new concepts in every of her album. She isn't using old knowledge, she keeps refreshing her brain.

The ugly thing is our role models' secret places are their mind and their will. They freshen their mind always and strengthen their will.
