Distorted Truth I wrote this some years ago when I realized the good parts of how truth can be bent; sort of the good side of lies. Let me know what you think. Up until I figure out how to post URLs... Distorted Truth |
Hello everyone. I am posting so I can get updates |
This is behind the secretariat in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. This is where they crammed all the foreign corpers and the select few locals who have their CDS in zone 5. May God be with them all |
Y'all should also be careful of these messages which fly across the internet. You never know who is on the other end of the phone number you will call. |
Hope y'all are staying safe. I heard some corpers got attacked in Gombe and all |
This is an on-going series? |
Paulpaulpaul:You have spoken well @Paulpaulpaul |
Haha! Are you trying to define "ologomabia"? |
Seun: They will have to learn to use SQL directly before they can be hired..I don't think this is necessary. If a developer understands how to bend an ORM to his will, he must not be confined to SQL. What you're proposing here is that your developers remain crude: vanilla javascript as opposed to any of its libraries or coffeescript, CSS as opposed to LESS or SASS, SQL as opposed to ORMs. This is backward. Also, an ORM directly translated into OOP which is a direct consequence of Entity Relations which happens to be how the web is modelled nowadays with all these "resource" lingo flying around. It may be better to succumb to this new movement than hold on to the archaic means of development. My point of view sha… |
Obahiagbon has struck one time too many. There's a wordpress blog dedicated to explaining his crappy jargon from now on. Obviously, it started with this one. Checkout the explanation. |
Relax. Crinkum Crankum is not really an English term but in context, it makes sense. Checkout the explanation I read. It throws more light on the speech. |
The meaning of this complex jargon can be found here . I was impressed to see that paraphlegic crinkum crankum can be explained |
dude, go do your homework! how then do you wish to master the skill of programming if you keep asking for help on your assignments as "projects"? |
elvymoore:So far I have used it for the US, Canada and Ghana. |
channel801:Professional. I like this one. Look into reducing the degrees of freedom of your transitions. I see on the main menu that you have a hover-triggered animation that increases the width and height of the submenu simultaneously. Reducing this to a drop-down menu will make it more state-of-the-art professional; but I like your creativity on this one still. Moving the breadcrumbs (links that keep track of the user's progress on the page i.e. Home >> About Us) to the bottom of the page would help bring your content into focus and reduce the tendency of clients jumping from one page to another without grabbing the information you want to pass across. Well done. |
O.M.S:This website can be made lighter. A movie can be replaced for flash video. I skipped the intro because it was taking a while to load but it can be made better. Better still, if the video is just objects moving around, consider using CSS3 animations |
Hello Naira-landers, . . . too much money. I found a way to beat the MTN SuperSaver. This is a hack/flaw from MTN. Hope you see this post quick enough and exploit it before MTN rectifies the problem. The SuperSaver bundle works in the following steps: 1. First minute is charged at 58k per sec (or some other ridiculous rate which I cannot care less about) 2. Subsequent minutes are charged for a whooping 15k per sec So what is the catch? International calls. When on the SuperSaver plan/bundle, make sure your first call is local and goes beyond 45 seconds but below 1 minute. Then call any international number for free. After the first local call, MTN seeks another local call that will push your minutes past one minute in order to switch you to the lower tariff. But if the call is international, it by-passes protocol; which is waiting for the next local call. This may work for FunLink too or any other ridiculously-charge-the-first-minute-so-as-to-make-up-for-all-the-other-awoof-calls plan. Enjoy and testify. p.s: I am not asking for any money or compensation or ish like that. As a matter of fact, don't send me any email requesting other hacks. But if I find any other loopholes in any networks, be sure to hear from me (: |
As the OP, I should start with a website I made. Check out Andrew Forde; a violinist who studied angineering together and contacted me for a website. |
Hello Naira-landers, , too much money. That should be the slogan of this website! Anyways, thou shall not deviate form the thread topic. Use this thread as a feedback tool to get information about your websites; constructive criticisms are welcome. Please do not rundown someone's hopes because they might be learners in the field. Show your work and prove yourself. The motto of this thread is ", do more talk less. Never be mad at another man's success, " |

Install Xcode. Netbeans is not a native Mac app |
Fayimora:this is the more reason to assume that this is some assignment and you're looking for the best solution. My opinion though -- it may not necessarily be right |
Why break your head on recursion when what you need is a substring generator? In Ruby . . . def substring_generator str 1.upto(str.split('').size).each do |n| pp str.split('').combination(n).to_a end end Less clutter, more readable, gets the job done! |
That would be nice if the gurus actually helped others out in programming. they spend their time arguing rather than helping. |
Mobinga:Normally, to install ruby, you can download it from the Ruby website. If you are on Windows, there is also a way to install Ruby on a Windows Machine. If you are on Linux, look into the Synaptic Package manager. There are packages for Ruby 1.8 and Ruby 1.9 If you are on a Mac, there is a provision for a sandbox functionality in installing Ruby. Meaning your apps can use different versions of Ruby and different Rubies -- as I pointed out in my first post -- for development. The sandboxing tool is known as Ruby Version Manager a.k.a RVM. Enjoy |
ekt_bear:@ekt_bear thank you my brother. do you have a github account? we can get together there and work on some minor projects. who knows, they may become major. |
Lokoyen:Ruby is simple and easy to learn. If you start with this, you can get up and go in no time. The chances of you running into an error which you have to google for are less in Ruby compared to C. Enjoy. |
This is rather my take on the sibject from way back. Minor things have changed based on acquisition of experience but the core concept remains the same. Read my thoughts at http://igbanam./2010/04/08/good-relationships/ and let me know what you think. |
iGravity does Ruby (Web development), C/C++ (random software tools), Obj-C (iOS and OS X apps). |
Whatever happened to "Unity, Peace and Progress", only God knows. Number_One: |
