What if I told you to enroll for an ICT course and get a job within few months?

You will ask me for the money to start!!

But you never asked your university such questions when they can't even guarantee you a job or a skill.

I wish you the best in your search.

Exciting role.

You can become one by learning a course called Project Management Professional (PMP).

Not the half baked ones being offered by low firms... I mean the real PMP certification course.

Nice piece. I am no HR, so I can't say if it is true. But one thing I know...

Graduates to fill up some exciting slots are not there.

I see a single Cisco voice consultant handling plenty of contracts and even reject some.

I see a Multimedia freelancer who even rejects some job just because he doesn't have enough time.

But yet I see people come online and beg for "Just A Job", and I wonder what is the problem.

I am baffled and I will stop here.

Career / Why Should You Attend Our Next Digital Exposure Seminar? by iihtlagos: 10:46am On May 16, 2017
No one is begging you to learn a skill. No one will pressurize you to take up a course and learn again.

You know why??

Because we don't want the ICT market to get flooded with lots of people. Don't worry again, ICT professionals who are in the field already will continue to upgrade their skills and in turn, their bank account.

What happens to you who don't have an ICT skill?

You are most likely going to continue begging people to help you find a job or give you some little cash to manage.

Do you know how much Web Developers earn on freelance sites like Upwork?? shocked

I won't tell you because it will get you more interested to learn Web Development.

So therefore, Why Should You Attend Our Next Digital Exposure Seminar?

Because if you don't, you will miss life changing messages on how to have a skill and grow rich!! smiley

Career / Are There Really Jobs In Nigeria? by iihtlagos: 10:15am On May 11, 2017
"No Jobs in Nigeria again" is the common anthem of every neglected job seeker!

It is no longer news that our educational system is the highest fraud commiting sector in the country. Every year thousands are shipped out of school to join the large existing number of unemployed graduates already in the country.

These days in most interviews, it is no longer "What did you study" question that is asked in interviews; the question now is "What can you offer us". Don't to quick to shout...

"Analytical skills, Numerical skills, ability to work as a team player". The moment you realize that even a "GATE MAN" can also offer that, the better for you.

Every quater, most banks lay off their staff, especially those at the counter or customer service providers doing the dirty jobs. Have you ever for one day ask yourself... "Why haven't they sack the programmer in charge of the Banking Application? or the Networking associate in the company?"

Like the CEO of Swift Company said "Technology won't replace jobs, but workers with Technology skills will replace those without Technological skills"

Are you thinking of applying for a Graduate Trainee program in any sector?

Replace "Analytical skills, Numerical skills, Communication skills with CCNA, A+, Oracle database Admin, CCNP, Java Enterprise Skills and check if they won't be on their knees begging you to join the company.

A word is enough for the wise.

The question is====> "Do I have what it takes to land a good Job in Nigeria?" wink

Career / Re: 4 Ways To Derail Your Career Growth by iihtlagos: 4:10pm On May 02, 2017
Refusing to see opportunities.

ICT is one of the consistent sectors that help to curb unemployment currently in the country. If you are a graduate and searching for jobs unending, why cant you just take up an opportunity in ICT and notice the difference.

To the students, don't wait before you graduate and start searching for jobs. The time is NOW!

You still have parents to support you... tell them that you need to learn a profession in ICT.

See you at the top!

Do you know the highest recruiting sector currently in the country?

Do you the sector with the highest Job openings even on Nairaland?

Do you know the sector that put money in your pocket even when you don't have a full time job?

Every minute we spend much money buying Phones, Shoes, New Clothes. Yet we fail to invest in the sector producing the highest number of milionaires in recent years.

Forget about the cost now... Instead of buying the new phone that will be gone in two years time, why can't you invest in the ICT sector?

You can become a Web Designer

Web Developer

Cisco Networker

Ethical Hacker

Programmer

Database Administrator!!

Just name it... the projections are that few years from now, the opportunities that will come out from this sector will be more than the number of people to fill it.

Lastly, show me one ICT guru that is complaining of unemployment, and I will show you TEN from other job sectors pleading for a job!!

The time is now!!
