Paentera: Truth is most people who even reside in Lagos do not know nada about Lagos and its sights. I wish sometime soon, a creative person can actually put together scheduled tours of the city regardless of the traffic. A Sunday will be an ideal day to tour Lagos. Great job...I'm willing to assist with putting in more detailed information about it on a long term. Deal?
Was that meant for me or kokoye huh

OMO IBO: Lol. .

I was in this exact boat alittle over 18months ago when I returned to Nigeria.

I remember asking my friends almost everyday where the hangout spots were. Mind you, I'm not the out going type but I wanted to 'see lagos'. This was difficult as many of my friends lived outside nigeria plus I wasn't conversant with lagos roads.

My first solo sojourn to the Island was a write off. I unknowingly missed the red light on ozumba mbadiwe as I looked around for The Palms or Shoprite. I was escorted by the police to a corner where I was threatened with all sorts. SMH! let's just say police take my head open office. . .I parted with 10k.

Anyway sha, I know say I don digress.

Ember creek isn't bad. This joint is overlooking the lagos creek. Infact, you are seated next to the creek. You get to the see the beauty of lagos somewhat at night when the buildings on the otherside of the creeks and boats turn on their lights. Nice sitting arrangement. . .very cozy if you ask me.

Their food/menu no bad plus, they are decently prized.
Although, I have a problem with their pizza. . .very small and thin.

Another place is La Mange in Ikeja. Haven't really explored this place but I hear it is nice.
Thanks for this, not everyone understands but it's very difficult spending all those hours on a plane and you can't have a good time to make up for it!

I wanted to try different locations and not be cooped up that's why Ember Creek and the Sailor's Lounge appealed to me. Thanks for the feedback.

I will look up La Mange and no way am I driving myself to any of these places. NOOOOO!

EntertainmentRe: Interested In Moderating This Section? by ijebabe(mod): 6:15pm On Oct 24, 2012
I would like to indicate my interest in the moderator position for the Entertainment section.

While I won't claim to know all there is to know about the world of entertainment let alone moderating a section, what I do know is that I have learnt a lot about Nigerians and its entertainment since I joined this forum some few months ago than I ever did before. This has always been a passion for me and I believe this can be proven by the threads I have opened in the sub sections of Entertainment (which i'm sure most NLers garrimongers are tired of grin ).
With the knowledge I have on entertainment I know this will help me be a good moderator to this section, not only in keeping it active with the never-ending gossips and stories our stars never fail to provide us with, but by encouraging other threads and updating NLers on the stories that affect us as Nigerian. I will also take on the responsibility of keeping the section clean and friendly as I am aware this is one of the most frequented sections on Nairaland. I have no problems working with another mod in achieving the same.

Thanks smiley
