I wish I saw this earlier. Bought Gen 3 monut for 100k, and did not end up using it because it did not work. Ended up using one of the DSTV mounts in my house.
100k?....wow. wielder constructed mine for just 15k

Guys please i have a question

Can i take the entire starlink to Ibadan where there is no capacity issues, activate it there, browse with it for like a day, then bring it back to Lagos?

Will it have any repercussions? I don’t plan on changing the address until Lagos is back and i can now activate the starlink

I want to know if this theory would work, i can’t pay that 160k monthly for 40mbps at all
This might be difficult to answer cos I don't think anyone would endure the stress risk of taking starlink to another state to activate, then bring it back to his or her state of residence. Knowing fully well that it may or may not work after returning to your state of residence. It's kind of risky and you wouldn't want to take that gamble on a device you intend to buy for 318k or 520k.
But like someone above me said. You can give it a try

Kuda virtual card works flawlessly, I have used it several times

You just got?

Directly from Starlink (which I doubt) or through 3rd party vendors Jumia and co (most likely)
.
I want to believe you are in Lagos or Abuja which is at full capacity and Starlink is currently not activating/onboarding new clients
.
You will have to keep it and wait on starlink for activation when they are ready
Not only Lagos and Abuja anymore, many more states are now at full capacity

What is going on with Starlink? I just got back to using Starlink after testing the Airtel ODU for two weeks and realized that Airtel caps the speed to 2Mbps after using 1TB. Starlink is virtually unusable. What on earth is going on with Starlink? I can't stream nothing.
Hmm. It's a little bit fair over here. At least today I have been streaming FHD channels and some 4K channels without any issues. Did you connect to your streaming device via ethernet cable or WiFi?

Omo people still dey use starlink? That expensive junk of box? When MTN fiberX and Airtel ODU Unlimited dey?
You make me laugh in Spanish. Airtel with it terrible network, or is it another Airtel you are talking about? Airtel is almost the worst network for streaming. As a matter of fact. I have 2 Airtel routers and their 5G router I have abandoned because of their disastrous network. I was always in their twitter and Facebook DM disturbing them about their terrible network.
No network come close to starlink presently in terms of reliability

Yes. Even the busiest cities in delta , which are Asaba and Warri. Sub is still 57k in those 2 cities

I don't know about the 80k sub, probably because it's not official.
This issue of Lagos and Abuja being saturated is funny and annoying.....most of the multinational companies , government offices, Embassies, banks, etc are all based in Lagos and Abuja, and I guess most of these establishment have all switched Starlink network, may be that's the reason while Lagos and Abuja is filled( Lagos and Abuja can't eat your cake and have it). Nothing of such in rivers state and Delta state

It's actually 4 Lan (yellow) ports. The gray ports are for telephone. Initially, when MTN started selling the device back in 2018, they used to bundle it with a free desktop phone that reads the sim from the router.
Yea. You are right. I bought it years ago. I think I bought it for even less than 8k. I was about throwing it away or giving it put cos I had no use for it again. I really thank my stars for not throwing it away

The pics below is the hynetflex router model am using. It was flawless. But I notice it works better and faster with Lan connection than Wifi connection.... It has 6 Lan port

The Airtel X25 pro 5G router works just fine and still transmits at Cat6 speed. Just make sure you pre-configure your User ID and password before connecting and of course remove any SIM card. Also works as an extender when paired to other routers via LAN.
The mtn hynetflex router doesn't even need any configuration. Is plug and play
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ijeezlux(m):
I just noticed that one of the best router to use alongside starlink mini is that old mtn hynetflex router. .before now I have been having issues on how to use a third party router without activating the starlink mini router bypass mode. .
I have 3 old routers that I bought previously and was about disposing them. I tried two of the old router without bypassing the starlink, they didn't work very well. I even bought an ethernet switch from jumia for 18k, but the switch turned out to be fake and inferior. It didn't work and i Was very angry.
Sometin just told me to try the hynetflex router because I have not tried it with the starlink before. I tested it with the starlink mini, surprisingly it worked very well without activating the starlink bypass mode.
Presently the internet speed of my android tv box alone is around 80Mbps

I got the starlink Gen 2 from Konga today..I activated it and added my card. I was billed.. after a while it showed that I need to activate starlink now to continue to use it.

I am trying to activate it and it keeps telling me device already assigned.
also on the app, it says Router unreachable.

My network speed is also very low
27Mbps download and 30Mbps upload

can anyone render any help?
You just said you activated it with your card. I don't think you need any other activation. Starlink mini is more or less a plug and play device.
How did you test your network speed, is it via the starlink app or fast dot com

The way you’re saying it it’s like you don’t know it’s pirated services? Sha use VPN on your Starlink
Thanks. I understand your point sha, but Lots of people use Kodi and IPTV, though some IPTV are legal while others are illegal. But I don't think Kodi is illegal presently cos some of their add-ons are paid add-ons while some are free. Beside Kodi is on play store and I don't think play store will allow any unlawful app to be in their store.
Is just like saying Stremio is a pirated streaming service just because they have some free addon you can use to watch movie

Starlink doesn't give free one month subscription on shipment anymore. When I got mine in February 2023, it came with one month free subscription. At the time, the subscription is added when the kit is provisioned for your account. By the time the kit gets to you, you would still have 3 weeks to use it for free.
I don't think so, I know some guys that were giving free one month subscription last month when de bought starlink mini. Even starlink said am entitled to one free month subscription when I activate my starlink mini or after my first paid subscription expired

Also how do Starlink users cope with that abysmal upload?
Lol...... As long it is unlimited, we are managing it. But to be honest mtn 5G is by far more faster than starlink. But fear won't let me use mtn 5G to stream seamlessly

Please why is that when I check my starlink internet speed test with fast dot com, the speed is always lower compared to when I use the starlink app to check the speed. Or it it that starlink app is inflating the speed

Tv.dot has every stations on the globe , you just have to choose which country you want to watch from.

Except of course the one that didn't make their server public.

I'm not even conversing about which is better , I only provided an option that's free of payment.
I just check the TV dot garden now, they are trying sha, but most of the channels there are free to air channels and channels extracted from YouTube, most of the premium channels there are not even working. Imagine in America category no HBO , even most of the SHOWTIME channels are my working,... In UK category, no Tnt, non of the sky sports channels are there, most of the sky movies are not there, no discovery channels, no Dazn .
But the garden still trying sha.

drop the add-on details you are using
there are many live tv addons, But just use these addons. Daddylive, Loop, Free, sportHd. Samsung TV plus is still very good and has very rich content.
You can incorporate loop and Samsung TV plus to your Kodi pvr simple client addon. I just hope you know what am talking about

I have nice freeapps that works wonder for me..Trust me

Just looking at adding Kodi to it.. I did and uninstalled few days later. It felt like using iPhone for someone that's so use to Samsung phone grin
Yea you are right. Kodi is not really flexible like some other streaming platforms like stremio and DStv, and that inflexibility can sometimes be annoying. But trust me, Kodi is far far more robust and has many options than others.
No football match you can't watch on Kodi, almost all US and UK live TV channels are in Kodi, movies released 2 days ago are already on kodi. The most important this is that make sure your device has a fast processor and Ram
