Hello, friends! I am Ikechukwu from Enugu state. I am a graduate but unemployed since I graduated 8yrs back. I survived a terrible accident two years ago of which almost claimed my life but I am alive today by God's grace.
But I sustained a Muscular convulsion and a torn ligament according to the doctors. It needs surgery of 200k! Or my leg will be amputated! (God forbid). I have been in pains since then as it was not properly treated. I take strong drugs and pain killers to relieve the pain yet it does not last. Nevertheless, nobody is mandated to help me because everyone has one problem or the other which equally needs attention. Moreover, I will not be wrong if I say that currently I live as a beggar and some see me as a leper trying to distance themselves from me, of which some those I called friends have deserted me since it got worse. I can't walk. Such a cruel world full of uncertainties! As each day draws closer, I keep having nightmare as my heart keeps beating faster, as to when my knee will be amputated. (It looks as if my knee cap is decaying as there is puss inside and swollen, it is not actually a sight to behold)if I don't get treated soon! I know some will be asking if I don't have relatives that will help. Yes, the person who would have single handedly sponsored the surgey and correction is late. My paternal relatives are not in good terms with my family because of some family issues! I would have knelt down to plead but my condition debars me from kneeling down. I have been able to raise barely nothing up to half of the required amount. I thought far and wide and I believe people here could help to make me walk again. Please I need help financially from you all fellow nairalanders, I know the current economic climate of Nigeria is telling on everyone but no such amount is too small as it will go a long way to help me in the corrective surgery. I have limited time on my side! Thank you for your understanding.
