For (b) above, Candidates should note that online statements of results obtained before Nov/Dec 2007 are not acceptable for this exercise.

The University of Ibadan hereby announces a special concession which will enable bona fide candidates who made the University their 1st choice in the 2009/2010 UME and scored 200 and above to submit the results of their ‘O’ Level/SSCE or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before 25th September 2009, WHICH WERE NOT SUBMITTED before the closure of the web on 7 August 2009.
2 Candidates who could not PARTICIPATE earlier due to non-release of their 2009   ‘O’ level results CAN now submit their biodata and results ONLINE. Also, candidates who had purchased PINs but could not make submissions.

3.  Candidates with VALID SUBMISSIONS during the earlier   exercise CANNOT PARTICIPATE in the current exercise. However, some candidates with invalid/incomplete/irregular submissions have been ENABLED to make VALID submissions by reactivation of their passwords and PINs. There are a few cases of irregular/incomplete/invalid submissions by prospective candidates seeking admission into the University of Ibadan as first choice candidates. The comprehensive lists of this category of candidates are displayed on the web site, based on the choice of study within specified faculties in the University.



These candidates are hereby given another opportunity to CAREFULLY submit ON-LINE their detailed biodata/results for prompt computation/processing, latest by the 21st of August 2009.

SCREENING OF 2009/2010 (2nd CHOICE) UME CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION

1. The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their Second choice in the 2009/2010 UME and scored 200 and above, to submit the results of their SSCE WASC/NECO or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng or clicking on the "Result Submission" link at the top of this page, on or before 11th September, 2009.

Candidates who chose UI as the first and secondchoice and who have bought pin and submitted during the first choice can use the same pin to submit for the second choice.

2. Candidates who are bonafide 1st and 2nd choice candidates of the University are expected to complete this on-line submission of results/biodata for their 2nd choice ‘course of study’. Preference will however be given to the 1st choice ‘course of study’ over the 2nd choice course, unless the prospective candidate is not short listed for the 1st choice ‘course of study’. The “Bank slip” obtained during the 1st choice submission is valid for ALL on-line submissions during the 2009/2010 Admissions exercise.

3. Bona-fide candidates who are expecting the release of their results CANNOT participate in the current on-line exercise, until such results are released. SSCE or equivalent results released after 31st August 2009 will not be considered for the 2009/2010 Admissions Exercise.

4. Instructions

(i) Present JAMB result slip and pay N2,000.00 into U.I. Students Fee Account (See datails below) at any of the approved branches of Afribank, First Bank and Wema Bank (See List of approved branches) nearest to you:

5. Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (2 sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of, both results are submitted.

6. The deadline for submission of ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose results are not submitted at the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.

7. Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Any one found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

Nigeria’s footballing authorities have been left stunned as a massive sum of money was stolen from their offices.

The sum of $200,000 (€146,000) was stolen when the offices of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja were burgled Wednesday night, officials have announced.

"We are still shocked by this discovery because this is the first time this has happened here," said NFF secretary-general Bolaji Ojo-Oba.

"This [has] stunned everybody but we are up to it and our investigators are working on the case. We are positive we will recover this money."

It is believed that the bulk of this money was meant for the country's preparations for their World Cup qualifier against Mozambique on March 29 in Maputo.

However, Ojo-Oba assured that the theft will not disrupt the Super Eagles build-up for the Mozambique tie, which includes a training stint in South Africa ahead of the match.
