650k monthly for 2 hours daily work, for a fresh graduate awaiting NYSC just to respond to emails and schedule appointments! That's over 9 times the current Minimum Wage.
How many people in offices doing 9 to 5 can boast of half that amount?
Wasted opportunity. Greed is a disease
[quote author=Chilipepper post=136837277]Lady lost her 650k job after requesting a salary increase.
In this video Obi looked way older than Wike. Today Wike looks far older than Obi. The result of this fast tracked aging can only be the handiwork of 40 year old Whiskey
Here is a video of Nyesom Wike following Governor Peter obi to witness some of his numerous projects especially in the educational sectors.
In the video you could see Wike standing with Peter obi as he present laptops, generating sets and brand new innoson bus schools across state. Amongst other projects was the laying of foundation of of a maternity hospital across local governments in the state
The clout seeking activist has come again. I wonder what he smoked this time. This senseless talk reeks of joblessness and attention seeking. Why don't you go to build a sea port in Edo and Kogi.
Social commentator Verydarkman criticized the concentration of opportunities and development in Lagos, arguing that it is stifling growth in other parts of Nigeria.
He questioned why nearly everything must be centered in Lagos while the rest of the country struggles
Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur, Anita Akide aka Tacha, has stirred reactions online after saying that “every girl needs three other boyfriends.”
Speaking on The Podcast Network on YouTube, Tacha explained that women should not rush into relationships but instead explore their options before settling down.
“You need three other boyfriends in your life… I’m not saying to sleep with all the boyfriends. But at least… You just never really know,” she said. She also advised women to remain single until marriage, stressing:
“Every girl should be single till they’re actually married… Don’t let your boyfriend stop you from meeting your husband.”
Tacha further explained that men and women don’t enjoy the same freedom in society, which is why women must be smarter in how they move. On life abroad, she shared her personal struggles, including theft and loneliness, and noted that many Nigerians overseas hide their difficulties for fear of ridicule:
“Two of my luggage items got stolen in Paris… As much as it’s hard here in Nigeria, it’s also hard. It’s even harder abroad, honestly.”
According to her, despite Nigeria’s challenges, the warmth of the local community makes it unique: “You can go to your junction and say, ‘Mama Ki, give me something of 7,000. By the end of the month, I’ll pay you.’ There’s a lot more to be happy about here in Nigeria than there in the UK.” Finally, she urged Nigerians to channel their boldness and resilience into pushing for positive change.
This is what you get from an illiterate governor who failed WAEC woefully. He clearly undervalues teachers. The loss goes to the good people of Edo State. May this misfortune never happen to Edo again 💯
Very Laudable. This would be the highest minimum wage paying state in the Federation. Doctors deserve the increase as an incentive, among others, to keep them from relocating. Other states should emulate this giving increased Federal allocation and low purchasing power caused by inflation
This is a clear illustration of "Looking Inward" Governors need to tap onto areas of comperative advantage, attracting investments for economic growth, job creation and revenue generation. Rather than being over dependent on the Federal Government. Kudos to the visionary Nasarawa State governor 💯🎯
press9jatv: Lithium Processing Plant At Endo, Nasarawa State 🇳🇬 Endo, in Nasarawa State, is fast becoming Nigeria’s lithium powerhouse, attracting huge global investments that promise jobs, skills, and economic growth. You have done well giving your side of the story. You didn't deserve the humiliation. But am finding it hard to believe you couldn't spell the word "General". Clearly you speak quite well and seem educated. Having to resort to a co passenger to spell a simple word makes this story less plausible
It's a no contest. Fela Kuti easily eclipses the other three(3) even put together.
obembet: These four legendary Nigerian musicians Ayinla Omowura, Haruna Ishola, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, and Sikiru Ayinde Barrister are unique because each of them pioneered and popularized different indigenous music genres that became cultural pillars in Nigeria and beyond.
Here is what makes them special in music industry
1. Ayinla Omowura – King of Apala music
Known as the most influential Apala musician. His music addressed social, political, and cultural issues. His style blended traditional Yoruba percussion with deep philosophical messages.
2. Haruna Ishola – King of Apala/Fuji precursor (Were music)
One of the earliest and most successful Apala musicians. Famous for his spiritually rooted and poetic Yoruba lyrics. He gave Apala an identity and helped it spread internationally.
3. Fela Anikulapo Kuti – Pioneer of Afrobeat
International icon and activist. Fused traditional Yoruba rhythms, jazz, highlife, and funk. Used his music to challenge political corruption and oppression in Nigeria. Afrobeat later became a global sound, influencing today’s Afrobeats.
4. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister – Pioneer of Fuji music
Transformed Were music (Islamic wake-up songs during Ramadan) into Fuji, a major Yoruba genre. Modernized Yoruba percussion with dynamic rhythms and storytelling. Regarded as the father of Fuji music, inspiring later stars like Wasiu Ayinde and Pasuma.
All four artists are cultural revolutionaries who used indigenous Yoruba musical styles to create new genres or elevate existing ones. They are considered founding fathers of Nigerian traditional/modern music, laying the foundation for today’s Afrobeat, Fuji, and Apala sounds.
Babamide: I only meet No. 1 and 9. It is standards like this that always make men ask what women bring to the table. If a man was to counter this list now, it would be something like

Can take care of all domestic household chores 8. Hopeless romantic 9. Must have a degree 10. Has kitchen equipment and sizeable saving 11. Generous, kind and empathetic 12. Beauty with a flat tummy 13. Must know how to fix things within the house 14. Smart, funny with no emotional mood swings
15. Must not be addicted to Instagram, Ticktock and social media except Twitter 😁😂
Story doesn't add up. You clearly rejected the first one and yet was in possession of it while wearing the second one you eventually paid for. You didn't tell us if you returned the first watch. Or maybe you forgot to return it and the point of receipt and payment for the second watch.
This obsession Ogun State with Human skills is really becoming embarrassing. One thought this madness had even abated. It is well with the great Ogun State
Good question. Christainophobia is very much allowed an legal in those parts
cremedelacreme: Nothing new here. Are Christians allowed to practice or celebrate religious ceremonies openely in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and Oman without harassment and threat to their lives?
WizardOfNG: The hypocrisy of Northern leaders is fascinating to watch and nauseating to the senses at the same time.
Their silence at the monumental misrule of Buhari, while very vocal over a pin dropping from table of Tinubu, is proof this nation is gone and we are just fooling ourselves pretending to be one.
Smart folks should start preparing for what is shown below that is inevitable.
Crucially, Northern leaders know 'one Nigeria' is on her death bed but they are upset they have not prepared for it's funeral and have now been caught badly lacking as the region most underdeveloped and unprepared for the "to your tent O Isreal" inevitable future of Nigeria no force can Stop.
Obvious what the North will attempt to do when next power is with them. Smart Southern regions will start working on their own socio-economic freedom today.
You are Spot on. Better Oil dey your head. The have just awoken to the inevitable death of the facade called "One Nigeria" and are overwhelmed by lack of preparation for the aftermath.
Resource Control, Restructuring and True Federalism are in the offing already.
