dreaH: Don't mind those people, you'll have to go to Abuja physically or you send someone We have long way to go in 9ja. After creating application of MOE, you can't edit to increase the pages of file you wanted. You have to forefiet unused ones. Still you have to to waka go their office in Abj before documents get authenticated. UK applicant need to some say they're not passing all this stress of what people are passing through to legalised or Authentication |

RedSamaritan: Please can anyone explain the document expected of us to submit in place of "proof of residence in the consular district" and are we also going to legalise and translate? Proof of residence literally means bank statement, electricity bills etc. I believe if you submit yur 9ja bank statement and Spanish admission letter, yo6 shd be alright. You can't have Spanish proof of residence if you never enter the country. Have you authenticated your documents at Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs? |

Olammi: I’ve seen many questions about studying in Spain lately, so I decided to put together a simple guide based on current information.
This is not promotion, just to help anyone considering the route.
General Overview
Spain is gradually becoming an option for people looking at Europe because:
Tuition is relatively moderate compared to some EU countries Some programs are taught in English It’s part of the Schengen zone There are pathways after study
Admission Basics
Before anything, you must secure admission.
Typical requirements: WAEC/NECO (for undergraduate) HND/BSc (for postgraduate) International passport Statement of purpose CV (for master’s) Some schools may request: English proficiency OR Spanish language (depending on program)
Student Visa (Long Stay) Common documents include: Admission letter Proof of funds (monthly living coverage) Medical insurance Police clearance Accommodation details Document legalization is often required.
Processing Time Around 3–6 weeks in many cases Can extend to a few months depending on application volume Early application is always safer.
Approval Chances Approval depends heavily on documentation.
Generally: Strong applications tend to get approvals Weak financial proof or incomplete documents often lead to refusal So it’s less about country and more about how clean your file is.
Family Option Students can apply with family members, but: Financial requirement increases Accommodation must be suitable Not everyone goes this route initially.
Work While Studying Students are allowed to work part-time: Up to limited hours weekly Must not interfere with studies Jobs are not guaranteed, so plan finances properly.
After Study Possible options after graduation include: Switching to a work permit Staying back legally if conditions are met This depends on individual situation and job availability.
Important Points Avoid shortcuts or false documents Make sure financial proof is verifiable Choose your school carefully Don’t rely on “guaranteed visa” claims
Final Thought Spain can work, but it is not a “shortcut route.”
Like every country: Proper planning Correct documents Realistic expectations …will determine the outcome

Regarding Authentication of documents at Ministry of Education, is there anyway to contact MOE by email or call as they're not responding. *Is translation of documents from English to Spanish compulsory? * What's is the required POF for 1yr course? What are mandatory documents when submitting the visa application. Tnx |

Oluwabukolaanik: actually i don’t want to reply to any text coming from this my comment but I think I will have to reply this, I guess you misunderstood me, I meant because a student was refused for not being a genuine student doesn’t mean they should be treated like a bad student, I did my pre cas interview and unfortunately when I was about finishing the interview the network messed up, making me to retake the pre CAs interview, my school had to commend me for being a vibrant student and pleaded with me to retake the interview which I did and I passed, if you know my college, you will know attending there interview is like attending a mini ukvi interview, and unfortunately I was called for the ukvi interview which I went further to make my research and make sure my answer wasn’t generic and the caseworker ignored few of my evidence, my point is it’s not everyone that is label not being a genuine student is actually not genuine and not everyone that got there visa is actually a genuine student, some people don’t even know there course modules but that’s not why we are here....my second point is they should be given a second chance and not be treated as if when a school gives them offer, the school license is about to be revoked, if I am not genuine about my intentions I won’t be willing to spend so much money to gain more knowledge for the growth of my business Thank you…. This na true fact. Coming now or getting things approved is by grace of God. Most people that were denied, some of them gave their best during their interview and the outcome they got or reason for refusal can make people speechless. So sad to see other schools rejecting applicants admission because of their last outcome If people can look into other countries and jejely go as things aren't smiling again even when people intention are +ve. Most people know the outcome of their last election and impact it will bring. |
