I received my parcel today from EMS. The delivery guy collected money from me , just papers, saying it's delivery charge? It's that correct #1500 . Is that the norm? Is that what they do?

Please I need help, a parcel was sent to me through parcelforce in UK to Nigeria since 10th October, I was told I would receive it on Friday this week , but I later realized that they have no offices here and I heard it will be delivered through post office. It's a registered mail, I am worried, I don't want delays. Please what do I do? Should I go to Post office and ask if mails from parcelforce get to them? Is it true. Some people said I have to track at impc on Time? Is that true, can I intercept it at Lagos? What is your advice? Do you have any number I can call... parcel number start with EE.... Different from RR... Does that mean EMS. Please I have a deadline at work. Please advice?
