I will be updating you on the prices of grains, vegetables and tubers in this thread from Masaka market. There are markets that sell foodstuff cheap other than Zuba or Madella markets, unless you are told you won't know. We are in major foodstuff seasons especially grains and tubers. This is harvest time for many crops so their prices are cheaper. In case you want to buy for storage this is the time as the prices will keep going up every passing month.

Masaka is in Nassarawa State but closer to Abuja. Many people working in Abuja resides there. And some foodstuff sellers go to their market to buy foodstuff.

The reason foodstuff is cheaper in this market is because farmers bring produce from the villages around. Also, Benue and Plateau States are closer.

Their market day is every Friday. I got to know about it when my friend bought foodstuff and sent it to me in my state. The price was very considerable. So when I came back, I decided to go to the market myself. I didn't intend to buy many things, only yam. It was way better than what I bought in Zuba. I ended up buying beans, cassava flour, groundnut, onions, and dry fish. I was so happy I did.

It didn't occur to me to snap when I went to the market, so I can't post anything now, until I go back. I will then post the pictures and prices.
