I don’t know what it used to look like before the ban but yes the room was full. The immigration section had chairs and they were all filled. Non immigrants stood on the queue and I estimate they were at least 20 people in front of me and behind me. (Some were foreigners residing in Nigeria and the ones I saw were given the visa - tourist visa.)

I had to create this profile because during my research I wasn’t able to get any concrete information but now that I’ve gone myself, I’ve come to share so maybe it can help anyone.

No visa is being issued under the banned categories to Nigerians. People were told that they qualify but can’t be issued because of the ban and were asked to reapply. For anyone who intends to apply, please make sure to wait until the ban is removed (the VOs made it clear they don’t know when that will happen) before you apply.

Yes, I was denied too for F1 visa under the ban and for home ties as well.
