When I read this story, I felt like crying for the teacher. Many of you are writing rubbish about him. Why? It was a mistake. Holding a cane does not mean he wanted to flog anyone. It is a way of telling the children to behave, otherwise they will be flogged. If I'm a teacher of primary school children, I will keep a cane with me. The pressure of handling small children could be tasking. For the teacher to attempt suicide as a result of the accident shows his clean, humanitarian, and good nature even though suicide is a no-no for me. I pray the parents would understand and tamper justice with mercy. Again, the teacher needs to be counseled against suicide. I guess the guilt will rest with the teacher his entire life. Forever, he will continually reach out to the child. He will befriend the child forever. So unfortunate. God be with the teacher and comfort the child and the parents. 1 Like |
