After seeing the sweetness & pains in DT, I have opted for active participation in addition to the regulars.

One issue am having here is when is the right time to bail out... at the moment I set a minimum/maximum entry/exit, gain/loss.

The second paragraph was info I saw online explaining GFV. The way I understand it (I could be wrong) is that if there is enough cash in the trading account, then a GFV should not come up in the first place.

However, that is not the case here.
You cannot simply buy and sell same stock on the same trading day more than twice within 5 trading days. For example: if you buy say AAPL today, you can not sell it today and buy it again today.

You can do this type of buy & sell transaction only twice within 5 trading days.
It’s not applicable on T212 .

I understand the restriction part but not sure why a GFV violation should result in a ban since it's all about settlement of the funds.

A good faith violation occurs when you buy a security and sell it before paying for the initial purchase in full with settled funds. Only cash or the sales proceeds of fully paid for securities qualify as "settled funds."

The second paragraph appears to be unclear to me or not applicable if I get it correctly.

I assume we are referring to a cash account and GFV?

Buying & selling same stocks on same day, and in some cases doing same more than 3 times a week.

In your case, you have only 2 GFV and you enter ban/restriction.

I would recommend again to please be posting your recommendations afresh rather quoting previous posts. The anti spam bot does this banning blindly.

Bros, i don't know about forex, but you shouldn't make 'stock trading' your full time job.
Traders are gamblers, and record more losses than winnings.

I jumped in in some of the stocks TOP WINNERS and got some gains.

rushed out of $SLS at $7 and checking it now, it is at $17. I entered at $5.

Now it is showing some fresh runners bit their entry prices are high for me.

Tomorrow is another day.

It’s better ooo... same way it could deep if no exit. With my small change I made up to 100$ in & out today on SLS alone.
