falsenull: L I'm curious, what kind of companies offer systems level roles and what are you usually expected to do Also I'm assuming the scheduler you were talking about is an OS scheduler
Pretty impressive work It's easy to get stuck in your career as a systems engineer. There are few seniors that can mentor you and even fewer projects to sharpen your skills. This just shows mostbof our billionaires aren't really visionary. They just have access to funds. They follow the path of least resistance in choosing where to invest. They're not takers. Yet that moniepoint guy has the audacity to talk.down on the nation. |
Programming › Re: Where Are The Systems Programmers? by Incognito403: 2:42pm On May 12 |
falsenull: Everyone is on the web and no one bothers to lean into something as useful as low level programming, I've come to realise that people have this unnecessary fear of the C programming language even though it's extremely easy to learn and use.
One would think people who do actual stuff like kernel/operating system development, driver and module programming or just anything outside of web development would dominate tech conversations but it's almost always web bros screaming at each other at the top of their lungs while no one actually listens (see twitter).
Why is this so? The issue of financial instability is not an excuse here because you're not actively purchasing hardware like the guys into IOT or robotics, all you need is a C compiler (or Rust, Odin, Zig or whatever you're using) and maybe a VM (if you're developing os breaking software) People follow opportunities. Passion doesn't pay bills. Which Nigerian billionaire is visionary enough to invest in systems development? |

But here is the reality, nothing can happen to the soldier except if other separate human beings punish him.
That was how Balaam's donkey talked in the bible story And why do they want the soldier to be punished? Are they fighting for their god? |

You said muslims will be in hell to save sinners? Can you show me the evidence from the Quran and hadiths---‐-but wait o I thought no one can save sinners?
What should bother you is -----how are you sure that Allah who is the best deceiver plan is to take you to hell first wants you to be there forever? Are you clueless? No, it's disbelievers that are going to hell. No doubt about that. Go and look for it as you looked for the one you quoted. Or are you only interested in verses and hadith that support your bias? Actually, the best deceiver is the idol that got his son shouting "why art thou forsaken me". |

Basic123: What if they dont act normal and civil, what will you do?
Its your own religion (Islam) that forbids abusing other people god and religion ,their own religion allows it.
You people should go and learn peaceful co-existence with kufaar from the way the prophet lived his life in makkah Firstly, their religion doesn't permit insulting others. Secondly, religion is not an excuse for uncivilised act. Any religion that encourages insults should be discarded and thrown away. Finally, the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was outspoken against all acts of disbelief, oppression and injustice even in Makkah. It's wrong to project cowardly and ignorant acts upon the noble prophet. صلى الله عليه وسلم. |

BlackfireX: Mujahadeen are you eager for 72 virgins?
But according to the Quran every muslim will be in hell after they die
You want the verses and hadiths? It's one thing to visit a place, it's another thing to participate. Prophet Ibrahim was thrown in fire but was never burnt. Believers will even go into hell to remove some sinners without being affected by fire in anyway. However, according to the Qur'an every disbeliever will be in hell forever. This should bother a disbeliever more. |
