If your entire worth in life is 9B I mean ur houses, cars and even business outfit. You are a big man. Nobody in any state can say otherwise. Except politicians of course. Whenever I see idiots who defend those politicians either out of sheer stupidity or the peanuts they have been paid I just roll on the floor laughing. They don't even realize the kind of depraved, greedy, wicked and insensitive creatures those politicians actually are. |
I don't know why Obi doesn't just start his own party. I personally think it would be better for his movement. Maybe there something I don't know. The 3 million support he has in the East might allow him place some Governors in power. Maybe some senators too. They might even disgrace both Fubara and Wike (a case in point). The remaining 3m supporters in other climes, if clustered, might also get Honorables and Chairman seat. This way they would build from th ground up. If they actually perform, they would become formidable enough for Presidency in 2 elections from now. |
Does any of you guys use a subscription based vibe coding platform. Like one of those touted to be premium eg. Lovable Do they do a better job |
Man U board is definitely stupid to be allowing this Amorin guy a free reign. The free reign they should have rather given mourinho. He should have been the one to discipline those players of old & start a Renaissance. The only thing good about A is the balls to deal with wayward players. Using this grounds for experiment for his stupid system is so laughable. Even a fool know you have to read each game. Anyway, a random man would also be a fool to have passion for football clubs, unless he is betting. Na all of them.sabi |
As usual the typical level of stupidity always displayed by a regular nairaland critic is on display again. Without any personal research, so many idiots are happy to hear about death of their perceived Muslim enemies and accept the intonation of a religious conflict. There is a government in Yemen, and a separatist rebel group wants to oust it or get their own colony carved out to rule. The Saudis decided to support that Government, along with others, while Iran supports the rebels. The Saudis claim they are more concerned because they share a border and need a Government they can corporate with as neighbors. They involved themselves physically, collecting weapons from US and bombing Yemen with it. The move was highly criticized as genocidal. UAE distanced themselves to preserve their own image and tourism. It led to a cold shoulder from Saudi. Iran support the Rebels openly as they usually like to oppose US interests. This crisis has been going on for several years now and there's no single religious undertone to it, except according to the wishes of your personal opinion. The latest event had Saudi claiming those shipments were weapons and insisting the UAE is now working against them. UAE officials have immediately claimed they are disappointed in the allegations and it was just routine trade supplies. Every other Middle Eastern player is trying to help find peace. Saudi has also been trying to clean up their image explaining they are no longer getting g civilians killed, that this airstrike was even conducted in midnight to prevent collateral damage. In summary, STC doesn't like Yemen federal government anymore and want to rule or separate the South Yemen. Unfortunately, for North the South is the oil rich part in a desert country. That's why there's a civil war. |
The most interesting thing about this forum is that nobody is talking about the bronze artworks to be repatriated. Nigerian youths never discuss important things, but sentimental offshots. Does the Oba plan to really build a standard museum also which will have the technology and climate necessary to preserve those artifacts, not to mention adequate security against raiders. He can't treat it like a personal possession. Most importantly, he can't be hoping to commercialize it because we know tourism is inecistent in Nigeria. There won't be enough people to pay even 2k each to come see it. Benin youths needs to ask for a clearer plan about that. |
How exactly do they want us to reject it. What is the strategy. There is a line in the gazette that says they can automatically deduct tax, which you can dispute later. But they can deduct from your money in the bank. I thinks it's February that it would really start because many people can still fly under 800k radar in Jan. So we have to wait until then? Until some money is deducted? Then we stop using banks? Sue them? Or go out on the road and block everywhere? 10million is not even such a big contract. Loosing 2.5m out of it to thin air is going to be very bad. They don pass it into law already now. Na only Cho cho cho promise of protest Nigerians dey make. |

I don't know why platform & blog operators do this just to get engagements. This was a comment he made in June 2022 when planning to contest PDP primaries. It's not recent and shouldn't be a discussion today. Some people will now start formulating political scenarios. |
I remember this response to the guy talking about drones and sophisticated technical solutions: https://www.nairaland.com/7970742/how-drones-used-end-kidnapping#129050369 "Boots on the ground. We need to send personel physically into the forests after them. All these ideas of importing sophisticated technology for those crude bandits is just hype. 20m can be enough incentive for a task force comprising vigilantes, community youth volunteers and soldiers. Especially in cases where they have victims that would slow them down and make noises. If our task force swings into action immediately they run into the Bush, we might be getting the chance to engage them in riffle shootouts and reduce their numbers progressively. We can also learn from the Vietnam snipers that learned to live in trees awaiting US commandos. We can allow communities build Bobby traps around their forests. The local hunters know how to build non-lethal ones for deterrence at least. We can change our firearms law to enhance self defense capabilities. We can even hire almajiri-boy insiders to join and deliver something like poison to them. Do you also think simple solutions can work better. |
We need more information. I want to know about the impacts that can have on my metrics or funding chances |
Mr T is taking advantage of those governor's greed to lure them into his party. The offer seems to be that he would help them with their election spending so they don't throw away too much of their loot to get reelected. It'd a good offer because rather than spend heavily against Mr T. candidate, he will rather help them settle delegates and even INEC if necessary. They won't also need to settle corruption tribunal when they leave office. The only problem they're not thinking of is the long term. Mr T. would get to inherit their support base. He wants to own Nigeria. Lol. Nobody lives forever. Luckily, his son doesn't have what it takes to inherit his empire. Intelligent politicians don't want to fight him right now. They just want to smash and grab too, and settle their bloodline from the national cake. |
Why are arsenal fans making so much mouth here abeg |
They did not behave like scholars though. There is nothing wrong in looking for a job under an uneducated boy. The boy is actually intelligent enough. But when they got their and saw cameras. They should have asked what the content would be used for. You are permitted to ask questions too during an interview. If he didn't clarify properly or lied to them, they would have the license to sue today. From the medium used to announce the vacancy & and the informal setting of the interview process. You can already perceive what it has always been about. If I want to partake in this kind of thing, then I will take over the show for myself, somehow. |
surgical:You mean that you'll vote Atiku just to push Tinubu out. Is it really a better alternative. Anyway. I was also asking people on Twitter about Obi doing 1 term as promised. Will his supporters vote Atiku in 2031 as repayment |
I think he's trying to use them, by riding on their influence for northern votes. But he's wrong. Atiku primarily is very much interested in presidency, to the last. He has already voiced out that he feels Obi betrayed him by pulling out on his vc role to run with LP. He will try to draw him back or then cripple him. Atiku also wants to ride his influence, and Atiku is smarter. He will definitely run for primary and win delegates with money. Amaechi will vc if Obi doesn't. It will be too late for Obi to start at a new party by then. Atiku will not win 2027 but he will continue his momentum towards 2031. He might win that time, since Shettima (better positioned within incumbent reign) is being silly with criticism of a ship he's sailing in. Atiku's aim of courting Obi is to assimilate him or paint him bad if he starts throwing tantrums for loosing the primaries. I don't support Tinubu. I don't like any of them. He won't loose reelection. Power is going go to the north after him. I pray it won't be Atiku and his 30 children. If Obi falls in line with him. He wins. Obi can get his turn in 2039, afterall Atiku has been contesting since 1993. Obi one day maybe. But not yet. Hw still needs more of such coalitions. |
Alright What is your prices of these foodstuffs compared to chowdeck. Any advantages of ordering from you. Solo777: |

This was the argument I had with some guys. It's only when you're young and good looking that you get oshofree plenty. There nothing like Game again when you become old and you don't make it. The guy simply used his era. For the next era of his life he has to start working hard now. What happened is not difficult to believe. I remember the days of 2go. Girls were not afraid to visit a stranger at home. We target sex on 1st visit. Who even goes on dates. 2go try for my body count. But after nysc, forget game o. Your mates don dey press money. I wish him the best. He will need it to take care of 10 kids. I'm sure it's his caliber of girls he impregnated. |
How will you verify that they did the work of sharing the flyers appropriately. Does your team know how to do this type of marketing or it is being outsourced. I'm thinking of running one too. AngelSlay: |
Ok thanks I'll stick to the status quo. Just hate going outside to switch off the gen when they eventually bring light. Hard to fall asleep again. Hydronium: |

Good job Can you share some of the materials you read to understand the technicalities. And the supply plug of those materials. I will DM you. WithX: |
When people heard that bandits were demanding huge sums as ransom from farmers before they can harvest, they shrugged it off or even lambasted the northerners as weak. They forget that the cost will be passed on to the final consumer. The same I don't care attitude as bandits migrated from destroying farms, injuring... to chasing farmers to IDPs. Insecurity is the major elephant in the room. It's something systemically created for a domination agenda, as cited by some security analysts. The solution is no longer simple. But the people have to change their attitude to the problem of Nigeria 1st. The more useful hands on deck, the better now. |

I also found that Twitter thread where one guy claimed dollar is generally weak presently and almost all currencies are appreciating against dollar, it's not peculiar to naira. Except for the Egyptian pound and Argentine peso that were both devalued very recently. A research on news about dollar would show you that it is at a low. Summer is the season when the PTA demand for dollar goes up because of the frenzy of tourism and parents traveling abroad for convocations etc. In Nigeria particularly, the start of the ember months sees demand because of more imports , and January because of foreign student fees. We are also waiting for the FEC meeting where they might raise their interest rate, issue treasury bills or other fiscal policies that would make dollar attractive and raise its demand. Nigerians should not be celebrating so wildly. However, this present respite is very welcome. But it's more important that naira actually gains value in the market. Most important thing. We also need to question the issue of fx backlog clearance - where the dollar supply came from. Hopefully not like the last time they used 12 months worth of crude to defend naira for 2 weeks. It's worrisome banks are not selling, aboki is not selling but they are buying. We are merely fighting speculative demand successfully. We need strategies for the coming real demand. and beyond "dollar talk" ask why there has not been any actual economic growth since this tenure began. |
This is exactly what is happening as regards the naira gaining. While they successfully distract everyone with shenanigans like Binance ban, BDC raid and other stunts like a magician waving handkerchief while he pulls off his trick. They supplied dollars. Simple. What they are doing is a managed floatation. They dared not fully float the naira. It's just like the partial fuel subsidy. I've never been around to discourse all those nonsense topics about the gimmicks being employed. The real question is how often do the cbn plan to intercede in the forex market. What is the size of the periodic bailouts. What business sectors would get the funds. Meanwhile, this managed floatation is a bad strategy. If you observed it well, it's usually during the 3rd week when it starts getting out of hand that they act. This is creating an avenue for smart people to import goods at a lower rate and then sell at another exchange rate. Some people just mop up and store the dollar outrightly, then ride on the wave of monthly 10 days of scarcity. Nigerians should be discussing the fact that they are doing the same thing Emefiele did to stop this thing from happening in the Buhari era, but less efficiently. That cbn always announced a weekly sale of 25 million, and that was how speculators were kept in check. How will dollar be supplied to genuine demands? We are a people carried away by theatrics. |
Gajagojo:No, you're wrong Before floating the naira, he should have worked on importation of capital goods like tractors, raw materials etc. and even stockpiled That is the only way we can produce local products inspite of a weak naira. Now, FG can't control price if they didn't provide/subsidize input. All those local alternatives you mentioned are also expensive. Increasing minimum wage would cement inflation permanently and make naira worthless. All associations would also raise their charges subsequently I.e bricklayer, babrbers, transporters He did not lay the foundation to become a productive economy first. His critics are right, execution is everything. He must partially manage fx to keep this economy from collapsing meanwhile. |
