The diagnosis of appendicitis is clinical. In Nigeria, the tests like CT scan isn't done because most cannot afford it. I think it costs like 30k ( It could be more)., it's only a few centres that have CT scan machines. Even in Lagos, I doubt they're up to 10 centers that do such. They usually have to book appointments to do it, a lot of times can't be done urgently.
Tests usually done in patients with appendix is blood tests, urine tests, pregnancy test should be routine in females,.
Ultrasound scan is useless in a woman with appendicitis, because you'll just-have probe tenderness, which can also be present in an ectopic and other conditions.
I ask again, did your wife use antibiotics during that period? (Please kindly answer this)
If she did, it may have cleared the urine infection, or resolved the appendicitis.

She does not even have appendicitis that's the funny scenario. All other test shows only pregnancy as positive & by d next morning she was already fine which means it was due to her eyes wey no dey see cakes comot eyes the previous day. For the surgeon to save face he now said its ectopic I just told him they ain't competent enough & we changed the hospital as her HMO & today baby is now a big boy

Sorry o, but hope you know both appendicitis and kidney infection can coexist with pregnancy.
I know people who've have had appendix operations while pregnant. Meanwhile, urinary tract infections is quite common in pregnancy.
If your wife used antibiotics during same period, it would probably have cleared up the kidney infection, and even the appendicitis ( It can flare up again in future ).

Not without a test to confirm speculation that needs surgery. I did little clinical even though I never practised doesn't mean I accept a pronouncement like that. No medical doctor in his right senses will perform surgical procedure on a patient without waiting for test results to be double sure.

Happened to me as well until I put on the location that's when it became responsive

Many useless and incompetent doctors and CMD in town. That's how two useless resident doctors and a surgeon were saying acute appendicitis and kidney infection for my wife without any test or scan. Make doctor mumu sotey u see a married lady & u no fit ask when last did you menstruate. They had started calling the surgeon for an operation I just told d guy he must be out of his minds to postulate without any laboratory test and we left 11pm. Next morning we went for Scan only to be told its pregnancy naso the useless hospital for damage a foetus & trust dem dey won't say jack.
