Not all of them. If this is true, what will you say about MEN who support Feminism?

Who hates women? All men? Hell NO. There are women who don’t like men same way some men don’t like women. Looking broadly into human interactions, we all know that right from when we were little, there is always this feeling we have for the opposite sex. Is feminism really all about the hate women have for men? Or it’s just a movement fighting for equal rights of women in the society?

Feminism refers to a diverse variety of beliefs, ideas, movements, and agendas for action. It refers to any actions, especially organized, that promote changes to society to end patterns that have disadvantaged women.

Nobody is denying the fact that, the roles of women have been downplayed over time. Right from the biblical days, women were hardly allowed to partake in anything of significance, their voices were suppressed and they didn’t have any say on how things should be done. But some women, like Deborah, Queen of Sheba and Esther, created their own paths then, despite the unfavourable conditions that served as a stumbling block.

Those sets of unfavourable conditions still abound till today, but in like manner, some women, like Oprah winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Ngozi O. Iweala, and Joyce Meyer, created and are still creating their own paths. How did they do it? The question of 'HOW' will be answered later but before then, let’s dive into some common believes, misconceptions, contradictions aligning with FEMINISM.

WHAT DRIVES FEMINISTS?

Many a times, I ask feminists this question before I decided to go get the answer myself. Firstly, I will strongly and unequivocally state that, there is a big difference between feminists and frustrated women (Misandrists). The major difference is their driving force. What motivates them to pursue this cause that seems alike?

What is disheartening about this is that many people already have a wrong idea of what feminism is truly about because of how Misandrists have already saturated the cyber space. Even of more distraught is that Misandrists think of themselves as Feminists.
Feminists are solely driven by the strong urge for equality in various aspects of life. They want an end to the incessant sexual harassments they suffer from, lack of expression that they are subjected to by the society, among others.

It is just like championing the fight for the rights of women in the society and giving them a voice to speak out on what they have been through and making sure the coming generation never experience anything of such. Some men are feminists and what they do is:

-Listen to women
-Reason with them
-Understand and acknowledge their plights
-Enlighten their fellow men on the right way to treat women
-Stand up for women whenever and wherever they are mistreated, and
-Teach the younger male generation the right things about women.


Misandrists on the other hand, nurse pure hatred for men and this is the driving force for their cause. They don’t pursue equality for women, but instead, focus on how men are bad and not to be loved. Misandrists are bitter ladies and you can see this bitterness in every of their posts.

No doubt, they might have been treated badly by men or they weren’t treated the way they were expecting. Either way, a cause borne out of hate can never bear good fruits. Some might have been raped, sexually harassed and molested, jilted by their lover, etc. but these ill feelings against men, if not converted to something of worth and true intention, will be toxic to both the victim and the world at the end of the day.

WHERE SHOULD MEN STAND IN THIS FIGHT?
Are you one of those who believe that Feminists are out to displace men from their position? Let me ask you a question, what position exactly? The one we got entitled to as a result of the way the society had treated women or as a result of how hard we worked to attain it in an unfair condition? Unfair, because it is not a leveled playing ground with women in participation.

Fortunately, men are fathers to girls. Who won’t fight for the better treatment of their daughters? As fathers, brothers, and friends everyone should join this movement and fight to make the world a better and safe place for women. If enough men join in, more men will be reached and convinced easily. It is not just about helping women alone, it is simply about doing the RIGHT thing. Championing the cause of feminists is the right thing for women, for men, and for the society at large.

WHY ARE SOME MEN ANGRY AT FEMINISTS?

Lack of knowledge is truly bad. Most people are confused as to what FEMINISM is all about. Like I stated earlier, Misandrists are different from Feminists and they are driven by different motives. If most men knew what Feminism was all about, they will gladly embrace it the same way I did recently. But because of the large numbers of Misandrists present online and parading themselves as Feminists, men have a very wrong perceptive of what feminism entails.

As a result, they are always on the defensive anytime someone tries to tell them about it. In the real sense, men don’t hate feminists, they only hate Misandrists pretending to be Feminists. More men need to be enlightened on what Feminism is really about so they can join the movement.

HOW SOME WOMEN SURVIVED

Success is not gender based, it does not come by mistake, it will never happen to whoever does not deserve it. Success is worked for, it does not know feminists, misandrists, misogynists. It is a reward for well-planned hard work. No matter the environment you find yourself, once you are ready to put the work in, it will definitely work out.

The journey of success is not easy for any gender, Men don’t succeed because it’s easy, NO. They worked hard for it, faced a lot of obstacles, and fought a lot of competitions before getting it right.

In my opinion, in this present world, it is easier for women to succeed than it is for men. Because men have a lot of things to contend with before they get to the top, unlike women.

The number of women gunning for success as at now is very low (something we hope changes soon), which means there is low competition. When a woman makes it, she makes it big.

Women who are ready to apply the principle of success will surely succeed in their endeavors, even more than their male counterparts.

WHAT FEMINISTS SHOULD DO

What is the right thing for feminists to do? It is now clearly known that Misandrists are different from Feminists, and they have different motives. Feminists don’t preach hate against men. They love men and they ask the world generally, not just men, to start treating them fairly and give them a fair chance in life to pursue their aspirations.

Feminism is a believe that is borne out of strong conviction, a radical movement for a just cause made up of not just women alone but some men too. This pure intention should not be tainted by bitter beings.
There are some pressing issues Feminists need to address during this struggle to enlighten more people on what they truly want.

Equality for both genders is the main agenda of feminists. But how do they plan on achieving this? Some feminists are out there asking the world to treat them better but they are not actually putting the deserved work in. They act like it is to be given to them on a platter of gold. Like it’s their right? The world owes no one anything. If you want equality, you’ll strive for it and do all it takes to achieve that specific.

You can’t be preaching equality but most women still solely depend on men as their source of finance. Most of them are ready to lie on their backs just to get money. This feeling of superiority that women unconsciously bestow on men is one of those factors that fuel the belief that we can never be equal, and that men were created to dominate the world, including women.

A house divided against itself shall not stand. Address the issue within before coming out to fight the world. A battle like this will be won if every party involved is united and fight as one. Feminists should teach girls to be reasonably independent, they don’t have to depend on any guy or lay on their backs before they can foot their bills. They can have great aspirations too and all, they can succeed even where boys DON’T. They are equal, in all ramifications, with their male counterparts. Once this teaching has been imbibed by everyone, only then, can feminists face the world head-on successfully.

Feminism is a just cause that all mankind has to be a part of. We need to fight to make sure the world starts to treat our mothers, aunts, nieces, sisters, female cousins and female friends the right way. Feminists are not hater of men, no they don’t despise men. They want to be given a chance to have great aspirations, nurse great ideas and work on it, have big dreams and act on it without fear of discrimination.

Feminism is not toxic, but instead, a means through which the world can be a much better place for women and men alike. Before you become a true Feminists, you need to let go of all the hate you have towards men, only then can you pursue this cause the right way.
