I would recommend a Personal Inspection which to me is the Best Guide Against Buying a Car with Potential Problems Nice Car, Nice Drive, Everything Works as It Should, Low Mileage of 44,000 miles, Clean Report. I have not had any cause to Deal on the Dodge Magnum, but From Most reviews I would Advise You against It considering The Nigerian Terrain One Major Con is it that might have potentially dangerous problems with the engine and/or body, or abnormally high mileage; definitely in need of mechanical attention From 2005 - 2008, The Vehicle has been Recalled 8 times, That to me is a Negative Signal. These are the Recalls I culled from http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2005-to-2008-dodge-magnum-6.htm [b] 2005 Magnum: Bulkhead-mounted battery-cable fasteners could come loose and cause an instrument-panel fire. Dealers will tighten the fastener to proper specification. 2005 Magnum: Certain vehicles may lack a spot weld on the rear floorpan reinforcement, which could cause seatbelt anchors to separate in a crash and lead to occupant injury. Dealers will inspect rear floorpan reinforcement and install structural rivets if necessary. 2005 Magnum: Front seatbelt-loop bolts may not have been properly tightened, possibly causing seatbelts to fail in a crash. Dealers will tighten shoulder-belt adjuster-loop bolts to proper specification. 2005-06 Magnum w/ 42RLE Automatic Transmission: Improperly installed cup plug on 42RLE automatic transmission could prevent transmission from shifting into Park. Dealers will install a bracket on affected vehicles. 2006 Magnum w/2.7-liter V6: Improper spacing between rear brake tubes and EGR tube could lead to break-fluid leak resulting in decrease in braking performance. Dealers removed and replace damaged tubes and install a retaining clip to maintain proper clearance. 2007 Magnum w/automatic: The powertrain control software can cause a momentary lock up of the drive wheels if the vehicle is traveling over 40 mph and the operator shifts from drive to neutral and back to drive. If the drive wheels locked up, loss of vehicle control could occur. Dealers will reprogram the powertrain control module free of charge. 2007: The antilock brake system control module software may cause the rear brakes to lock up during certain braking conditions. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and cause a crash without warning. Dealers will reprogram the ABS electronic control unit. 2008: Improperly manufactured rear axle hub nuts could loosen, causing the vehicle to lose power and result in a crash without warning. Dealers will replace the rear axle hub nuts. Another reason is cause they are more fragile of getting damaged A typical buyer does not want a white car so they probably sit on the lot longer and end up costing dealers more money to maintain, so they lower the price on them Some Dealers Buy White, Yellow and Odd Colors and then Factory Oven Bake them to Preferable Metallic Colors, It costs an average of $1000 to Factory Oven Bake a Car from say White to Black Metallic Colors are Really More Expensive, A Black Car is likely More Expensive than a Red or White Car of Same Year & Model, there are Preference in Colors Vis a vis the Cost. Personally, I don't like white cars because they show dirt so fast and it seems like you have to wash them constantly or else they look nasty. |

Several things have been said about the advantages of hybrids, what are the likely disadvantages? 5. Why is the Guy Selling the car ? [b]Answers Answer 1. Most hybrid cars DO NOT require any additional regular maintenance on the hybrid-specific components. The Petrol engine in a hybrid vehicle requires the same maintenance that it would if it were the only power source driving the vehicle. That means oil changes every 5,000-10,000 miles depending on the vehicle and the driving conditions. In ordinary vehicles the brake pads need to be changed regularly. But the Accord hybrids' regenerative braking systems and their reduced heat means their brake pads typically last much longer. It can be fixed by Most Qualified Auto Mechanics Around. Answer 2. The Hybrid Battery Comes With a 7 year Warranty if Car was Driven at an Average 15,000 miles Per Year, MY 2005 Hybrid has 44,000 miles Left on Which Which Techincally Leaves it with 4 year Warranty. The calculation 15,000 miles Per Year X 7 Years Warranty = 105,000 Miles 44,000 miles Exhausted Out of 105,000 Miles = 61,000 miles 61,000 Miles Divided by 15,000 Miles being Average Miles Per Year = 4 Years Warranty. The Result Shows that This Hybrid Battery is technically covered with Warranty up till 2013 Averagely before any Fault is Expected at all. Answer 3. I advise you to Go for an Hybrid as Your First Car, By 2015 Most Vehicles Would Come With Hybrid Powered Engine A Major Reason being because of the Partial Zero emission Which has No Direct Effect on the Ozone layer, Eco Friendly Engines Answer 4. Hybrid cars, though useful, have some disadvantages. The point to be noted is that the advantages far exceed the disadvantages. Expensive to Acquire, Typically, The Non Naija Used 2005 Hybrid Honda Accord is More Expensive than a 2007 Honda Accord EX or LX Combined. Most Naija Road Side Mechanic might feel Intimidated by the Engine Appearance Hybrid Cars are Light Weights, Its a disadvantage during Stormy Weather conditions which is not applicable to Nigeria, No Hurricanes, No Snow Driving. No Car is 100% perfect and it is good to know that producers are in the constant search to making hybrid cars more user friendly and less prone to accidents. Answer 5.
