Please I need your suggestions as regards the rejection I just got...

I was utterly surprised that my personal account statement was not seen after it was uploaded at VFS.

My monthly salary as filled on the form is 2,200,000 monthly but on the refusal letter it's showing annually.

Though,I must confess the business statements for 6 months was indeed bulky and I'm trying to guess if there was a mix up somewhere...

Have travelled a couple of times to the UK including a trip to the US..

Am at crossroads if I should reapply?

This question requires more in-depth answers than some of the responses I have been reading. For those of you who say you travelled this year or just returned this year and did not experience any issues using your sticker visa, can you state the day you travelled? The eVisa system for standard toursit visa was rolled out on February 25, 2026. To the best of my knowledge tourists with Sticker visas are meant to link it to their UKVI Account. Did those of you claiming you had no issues using your sticker visa to visit the Uk from Nigeria travel before or after the roll out date? While the sticker is valid till it expires, some airlines may have transitioned to digital verification. If your status isn't linked to your passport digitally, airline staff may need extra time to manually verify your physical sticker, which could lead to denied boarding if they cannot confirm its validity in time for your flight.

Infact if you hold a Nigerian passport with a UK Sticker visa, please create a UKVI account and link your Passort and Visa to avoid stories that touch the heart. It's only a matter of time before some Nigerian at an airport sets ring light to share their horrible experience of denied boarding due to this matter. With Nigeria is always one thing or another

I would appreciate some clarification regarding UK sticker visas issued before the transition to the eVisa system. Has anyone recently travelled using a valid sticker visa? If so, were there any additional steps required to link, validate, or update the visa before travel?

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I would be grateful for any guidance or recent experiences you can share.

Hello guys,
I applied for an eVisa visa via the vfs website. I plan to to spend 4 days and return to Nigeria on 6th April and my passport expires on 5th July 2026. I have received a message from vfs stating that I should re-upload a passport that expires 90 days after the day I depart South Africa. I have uploaded a letter of explanation stating that the passport is still valid for 90 days after I return but I got the same email again. What can I do?

What does your friend’s birth certificate have to do with your own circumstance so I can know how to answer the first part of your query..
Also what actual pictures did you submit?
If they doubt the child is yours due to late registration and you feel you also added supporting documents to evidence that, you either raise a complaint that your evidence was not looked at OR you go have a think of taking your child to another country for visit. There are so many others OR do a DNA from an accredited UKVI centre ..

South Africa Visa common Documents requirement

Passport having validity not less then 30 days and 2 colored passport size photo
Duly filled B1-84 form(Application for Visa)
Prescribed fee Paid receipt
Vaccination certificate for yellow fever(if required)
Statement and/or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit
If you have children (minors) traveling with you or joining in South Africa, you will need to provide the following additional documents
Proof of guardianship or custody or
Consent from the guardian in the case of an unaccompanied minor
Proof of financial means to pay for your living expenses while in South Africa in the form of:
Bank statements
Salary advances
Undertakings by the host(s) in South Africa
Bursary
Medical cover or
Cash available (including credit cards and travellers’ cheques)


New requirements for visiting South Africa – particularly for children – came into effect on 1 June 2015. All children under the age of 18 years who travel into or out of South Africa need the consent of both their parents, and to produce an unabridged birth certificate to get a visa or at a port of entry.

All children under the age of 18 – both local and foreigners – must travel with a valid passport and an unabridged (full) birth certificate stating both parents' names. If the child is travelling alone or with only one parent, then they must also carry an affidavit filled out by the missing parent or parents.



Under the new legislation, South Africans and foreign nationals travelling with children under the age of 18 are required to produce unabridged birth certificates. It is part of the government's commitment to safeguard the best interests of children and prevent child trafficking

The Department of Home Affairs immigration services has equivalent forms for foreign children available online:

Parental consent affidavit
Equivalent document in lieu of unabridged birth certificate
