21 PhD positions are currently offered by the Faculty of Computer
Science of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy for its PhD
programme. The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano was founded in 1997 as
a multilingual (English, German, Italian) internationally oriented
institution. The university is located in one of the most fascinating
European regions, the Dolomites. This young university has already
established itself as an important research institution, both in Italy
and abroad. According to the Times Higher Education World University
Rankings 2019, the university is among the top 20 world’s best small
universities and it is the fourth best young Italian University.
According to the same ranking, the Faculty of Computer Science of the
Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is the fourth best Italian computer
science department, it is the best for international outlook Italian
computer science department, and it is the best for citations Italian
computer science department.

A public competition for 21 PhD positions at the Faculty of Computer
Science is currently open, of which 18 positions are fully covered by
grants (17,000€ per year after taxes). In addition, students will have
access to funding for attending summer schools and conferences.
Additional financial support is given to spend a period of 6-12 months
at an international research center. The duration of the program is
four years. The language of the PhD program is English.

The First Evaluation of Türkiye Scholarships Applications for 2020 Has Been Announced
Attention to All Türkiye Scholarships 2020 Candidates!
The first evaluation round of Türkiye Scholarships Applications for 2020, which were received between 15th January- 20th February 2020, has been completed.

Results can be reached at “My Applications” section of Türkiye Scholarships Application System (TBBS). An informative e-mail about the application results have also been sent to all candidates eligible for the second round of evaluation. Due to the amount of mails sent to candidates, there might be a delay in receiving results. The candidates are strongly advised to check their emails and ensure that the email is directed to their inbox folder not to the SPAM.

As the evaluation process of the Syrian nationals candidates for undergraduate studies, will be conducted within the framework of the scores they will receive from the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) which is to be held at 27-28 June 2020, the evaluation process of these candidates has not been completed.
