I have lived in the US since the mid-80s. As a matter of FACT, I can state with full confidence that in any major US city, when you turn on the 5 pm news, the first 15 minutes are always about crimes and killings. Pick any city of your choice and try it.
Now I live in both Nigeria and the US, I can tell you that I feel safer once I land in Nigeria. I have a sense of peace and tranquility.
I live in the Atlanta metro, I don't even feel safe to go and hang out at night downtown anymore. You need low level personnel like clerks, police officers, court employees, civil servants, airport staff etc for a system to function properly.
