Its a religion thing bro... even some yoruba muslims will say the same.....

One thing that baffles me is
When one brings out some hard core fundamental issues bedeviling Nigeria, you won't see comments from those that love Nigeria so much.

I don't really understand it.

So what next ....shall we force the horse to still drink?

Try am na..
Jonathan tried to force the horse.
By outlawing almajeri
By building schools form them
By feeding them at school
By giving them free books.

And do you what the horse did?
It kicked him so hard that he has not recovered yet.

You may be right but my point is making education compulsory and affordable. ...can you imagine a sane human being (though not in this case) blaming God (he didn't even blame Allah)
for the hardship he's passing through at the reason of someone else decision.

That Western Education is sin, is not just a Boko Haram ideology.

They prefer their male children become Almajeri while the females are locked up in their houses.

Jonathan wanted to outlaw the almajeri system, that was the first shovel he used to dig his political grave.

Northern elites came hard on him and said he could not just come to abolish an age long tradition

Politics / God Is At Fault, Not Buhari - Discussion With An Aboki Shoe Shiner by ipoblogic: 7:30am On Nov 10, 2017
I rushed out early morning one day to meet up with a meeting in another state.
When I arrived the park of my destination, I observed my shoe needed some polishing.

I scanned for a shoe shiner and not too long, one appeared.

"Shine my shoe. And please be fast as I want to catch up an appointment" I said to him

He brought down his tools, gave me a slippers to wear while he worked my shoes.

"How much?", I asked.

" N50 " came his reply.

"This thing used to be N20, why is it now N50?" I asked him.

"Things don cost na" he explained.

"Abi? Na wetin Buhari dey cause us be this oo" I added.

Boy!
You needed to see this mans face.
He got angry eh, looked at me as if killed his pregnant cow.. You know them and their cows.na.

Then he retorted, "Buhari no fit cause anything."

I asked him, "why not?/he is the President na"

"He is President, but na God dey in charge" he replied

" Na God dey do everything, Buhari na ordinary man. He no fit do anything on his own" he further explained.

Then I said to him, "You are making a mistake. You see, God created the earth and put man in man is to take decisions on how to run the earth.

For example, if a man gets drunk and drives recklessly and kills someone in an accident, who do we blame, God?"

He put his face down, and replied in a very low tone "na the man"

I went further,."those Boko Haram killing people any how, do you think God is in charge of it too"

The guy looked up at me, without saying a word.

He increased the pace of working on my shoe.
Finished it quickly, stood up, collected his money and escaped from me as if I am Nigerian Army with monkey Pox.vaccine.

I simply shook my head.
Those guys are ready to defend Buhari no matter what.

I just laughed at the thought of how silly Southerners are.

If Buhari is from the South, its Southerners that will lead the revolution that chase him out of Aso Rock.

Then I prayed for Buhari.
Nothing do you, ruin Nigeria biko ......

I am convinced beyond doubt that Nigeria will never work/
The religious and ethnic divide is irreconcilable.

Two cannot work together, except they agree.
When value systems of two people are opposites, there is no room for togetherness.

The Islamic North is more interested in Sharia, Islamic Education, Arabic Studies, Jihardism, etc
We on the other hand, are more interested in Engineering, Medicine, English Studies, liberalism, freedom of speech and religion.

These two extremes are impossible to reconcile.
The North cannot negotiate Islam and we cannot negotiate our liberalism.

OP, thanks for this thread.

FOLYKAZE:
I hate it when people just blab without any figures and facts to support their senseless rants.

Election all over Nigeria has always been having a low turnout. That we know. That election in any state in Nigeria had rarely recorded anything above 50% turnout. The record is there for everyone to see. When you compare registered voters and accredited votes, you would understand that Nigeria Election records mostly below 50%. In Katsina, Kano and Kaduna where Buhari was massively voted for, the turnout there wasn't up to 50%. In Rivers where we had a slight above 50%, we agreed it was abruptly rigged in favor of politicians. While all these happened, Anambra is not exempted. It is even worst there.

In Anambra last Gubernatorial election, the number of registered voters is 1,770,125 while accredited votes recorded is 451,826. This means that 1,318,299 didn't vote. 14,555 was rejected. The population of Anambra compared to those who registered for 2013 election is more than 55%. The election turnout in 2013 is 25%. So what is all the fuse IPOB are talking about when we managed to get 25% in 2013?

It can become worse and more. OP should tell us what the percentage would be if Anambran are going to boycott the election. What percentage would turnout percentage be before we can accept election is boycotted? Anything above 20% is unacceptable because we have recorded this before. Anything between 20% - 25% is an complete fail because election turnout in Anambra is within that range. So what are we going to accept as a win for IPOB? 15% and below

This is the type of fact and figure we want the OP and IPOB members to present. In a state where the turnout is between 20% - 30% since inception, getting anything within that range means IPOB fails. Getting anything between 15% above is also a failure. But when we have 15% and below, we can assume that IPOB is powerful as been proclaimed. The whole nosie about Nsala or whatever is not an excuse. People have been boycotting election for many reasons without making a noise from it. If and if you can achieve 15% below, then you win but when IPOB cannot achieve this, then the populace will sse how useless the organization is.

If it was 25%
We want to bring it down to 10 % .

So, chill

You should stop educating those brainwashed miscreants about how things are done properly, as per the election yesterday, LGA elections took place with the normal low turn out of voters, this is not the first or second time it's always like that especially in the SE so IPOB miscreants attributing it as a successful boycott is just to ginger their morale and make them feel special.
Anambra election will definitely take place and of course a winner will be announced so anybody thinking there was 0 turn out of voters yesterday is just deceiving himself

And you Igbos think a boycott will give you referendum? When we keep telling you guys that you are not smart at all you think we are hating your low mentality.

Even if Buhari was to have a change of heart overnight, and start singing the song of Biafra and he starts shouting "Biafra or Death", he will not give you referendum,
He doesn't have such powers,
Even if he orders it,

You Ppl are here in Nigeria you have all witness the tussle between the Executive and the Legislative when it comes to one the most important things in the country [The Budget ]
Buhari has to wait for the approval from the Senate before doing anything.

So is it referendum that will be any different?

You shout and curse Buhari, abuse the Army, you guys don't say a single word about the Ppl that holds the Fate of your referendum in their hands - The Senate.

As long as you guys have not included the Senate in the equation, you guys are nothing but comedians

You Igbos keep exposing your short sightedness to the whole world.

My advise to you guys is find or hire someone that is vested with the knowledge of these things to tow your course, stop disgracing yourselves in the public with trying to use street IQ to handle National matters

I can feel your pains
But you know what?

It's our burden... Allow us to carry it the best we feel.

Stop crying more than the bereaved.
He that wears the shoe knows where it pinches him.

Even if we don't curse Buhari, the Jihardist and Hus likes are already under a curse for shedding innocent blood.

I think there is a misunderstanding about our position on the Anambra polls.

On the 18th, we shall embark on a Sit at home protest against
1. The fraud called Nigeria.
2. The manipulations of brutish British who will rather have us mentally enslaved forever.
3. The sham called elections
4. The politicians who believe we can't think.
5. The continues killings of our people by the Nigerian State.

Sit at home is to
1. Emphasis our quest for self determination
2. Make it clear to all these touts and criminals like Obiano, Nwoye, Obaze, the rest of them and their sponsors that we are tired of feeding their self services.
3. Enhance our request for referendum.
4. Make it clear where our loyalty is: its no longer with Nigeria, her leaders and our politicians

When we say, no elections, we mean on the 18th, we are going to stay in our homes and mourn our dead.

We shall remember the innocent blood shed by Nigeria and our politicians.

To all Anambrarians.

1. We are the first Born of the Igbo race.
2. We set the pace for others to follow
3. Boycotting this coming sham called will position us as pace setters in the resetting of Nigeria and even Africa.
4. We need to do this to begin the repair process the damages done to us by slavery and Nigeria.
5. The success of this polls boycott will reset the brains of our politicians. It will send the right message to them to stop taking us for granted.
6. The success of this polls boycott will reverberate across Nigeria and even Africa. Our vision is to emancipate Africa from colonial enslavement.

Will elections hold?
Yes..

Will a winner emerge?
Yes...

An unpopular government will be installed.
It is not our business who wins. It makes no difference. They are all the same

The following people will vote
1. Politicians, their friend's, families, cronies, appointees
2. The hungry and ignorant fools who collect N1k, N2k or even N5k from those criminals and seal their destinies.
3. The fearful who are scared of politicians and their murderous tendencies.

For those still wondering how we mean that all politicians are the same:

Peter Obi was seen sharing money to people.
If Obi who was seen as different could be so low, then imagine the likes Obiano, Nwoye, Obaze, etc.

On the 18th, we the people of Anambra will stay at home.

Enough is enough....

At OP,
There is no need to argue with you on the kind of people who want Biafra.

I don't even care about the kinds of people who want the so called ONE Nigeria.

Plz, note the following:

I have asked Nigerians to explain to me why a kid who failed woefully in the National Common Entrance exam must be admitted just because he is from the North.
yet,a kid who passed very well is denied the same admision just because he is from the East.

In 2013, cut off for Ananmabra kids was 69.5% while that of one of the Northern states was 1%.

There constant and shameless narrative is that the North is backward in education.

And I keep asking them, so you have to reward those who failed and reject those worked hard in order to encourage the north to embrace education?

Pass mark the world over is 40%, we don't want to share the same.country with a people who accept 1% as pass mark. We don't want to share the same country with a people who exchange those who passed with those who failed.

In Nigeria, white is called black and black is called white.

We work hard to train our children.
We.force.them to go to school.
Discipline and push them, till they are ready to learn.
We sacrifice our own comfort to make sure they study arts and science
We.pushed them till the love Engineering, Medicine and such like.

The Islamic North push their male kids to the streets and lock up their females.

The few who manage to set their feett to school are automatically given admissions.
Sponsored to school with state funds.
Soon, they are offered admin jobs at the national levels.

The worst of the worst are set over the best of the best.

That is why misfits like Buhari can become President over great minds like Soludo, Utomi, Soyinka,

That's is why rascals like Abacha can hang natures gift like Sarowiwa and nothing happened.

The Nigerian narrative is such a sick.one.

You guys have no answers, you only have insults.
Calling us pigs is no big deal.

Shall I talk about the killings of our people by Islamists in northern Nigeria?
Nobody would be arrested and even if arrested, such are easily freed for lack of evidence.

Shall I talk about the invasions and killings of our peoples in our own lands by Jihardists masquerading as Herdsmen?

This Nigerian Army is partisan.
They shoot unarmed protesters but turn the other eye against a terrorists organisation who are bold enough to grant interviews on why they killed.

You guys rejoice when we are.killed in cold.blood

But karna is an ugly bitch.

For every innocent Biafran blood shed by Nigeria, blood.will.never.slcease.to.flow.in your streets.

For calling a peaceful people terrorists, while ignoring those commuting genocide against us, Islam will yet radicalise your youths... They will yet become terrorists.

As for Biafra..we have gone too far to stop
Peace to all.lovers of freedom.
