Hi... You are to pay the 50% before a visa support letter can be issued to you and they recommend that the other half is paid prior to enrollment. In other words, you pay the 50% to apply for your visa and then you pay the balance after you must have gotten your visa or close to resumption. sixsgod: Hello are you to pay the 50 percenrt immediately? |

You are absolutely right. In the email they sent to me, they kind of advised that it's better to pay the tuition in full. juniior: Yeah, it says 50% in the UL website. But I wasn't quoting the UL website. I was just trying to give advice so ppl don't fall into the same mistakes a made. If you pay 50%, UL will give you the visa support letter, but the Irish embassy in Nigeria will take the 50% school fees paid as insufficient finance (Even if you show that you have the balance of the fees in your bank account). And once they smell blood, they will start looking for other unnecessary errors such as birth certificate, lodgement, observing the conditions of your visa, obligation to return etc. It's crazy. Best to play safe and pay the full tuition or a bulk of it. |

They finally responded today. I had asked about the instalment as well. My tuition is €16,400 but I got €1,500 merit scholarship and also paid the 600 acceptance deposit, so, that is €2,100 less. Hence, my 50% is €7,150. I need them to clarify if this tuition is inclusive of all the other student charges. 1. You are required to pay 50% of your total tuition cost. Your calculation of €7,150 below is correct. 2. The 2 instalments can be based on the remaining 50% balance. sixsgod: Hello please for those admitted into university of Limerick, did you have to pay the full fees once? |

Hi. Make sure you check their 2022/2023 fees schedule. It's like 3k over what it used to be last session. sixsgod: Hello please for those admitted into university of Limerick, did you have to pay the full fees once? |

Thanks. Also, just found out that their fees have really increased. It is now 16,400 for most courses and also the additional 3k of Student levy and all.. I will just go with TUD Instead. I also got an offer from them. juniior: You need to pay a bulk of it 60% and above to get the visa support letter. If possible pay it completely. Visa office may frustrate you with rejection.
I paid 6500 euros out of 11,000 euro. UL gave me a visa support letter. I had planned to pay the rest immediately I got the visa. I showed the visa office that I had the balance plus living expenses in my account and some other funds in my sponsors account too. I still got refused for insufficient finance. I had to pay the balance of school fees, then purchase an education bond, then appeal the visa decision before I was granted the visa.
So to save yourself to headache, frustration and delay. Just clear all financial responsibility before applying for the visa. It helps alot |

Hi. Please did you have to pay your tuition in full for UL or you did the 50%.. I've emailed the school to confirm if they accept this but I am yet to get a response from them. juniior: Yes, but very far from my school. I study at University of Limerick, but live in Tralee, Kerry 2-3hrs distance |
