Haaaaa! I have flight to catch tomorrow morning. God I beg o! Since mid of this month, if it's not stupid Russian missile, it will be one screw and bolt fell off from plane bla bla bla. Even though aeroplane flight is still the safest, I still prefer to drive long distances, stopping and eating, buying or seeing the country side. Very good writeup there. This have always been in my mind and I wonder what government agencies and businesses that have union always do with their brain. In each state, they all have a commissioner in charge of tourism. At the Federal level, there is a Minister for Tourism. Can't all the state commissioners, together with the Minister have a summit, discuss, present papers and ideas, come to an agreement and have a policy document that should adopted by all the states for implementation. I guess NO. They won't do it, especially those leaches from the North who depend on free oil money shared every month. We wont have sense and do the needful except this oil is dried up so that everybody can rest, sit back and reason for a way to generate money for their states. The Calabar annual festival died after Donald Duke, the Port Harcourt Christmas road shows with DJs at every road junction blasting, died after Amaechi because Wike brought in his hate of Amaechi and discontinued some that made the state a tourist destination. Except the oil dried up, if not, no sense. |

I ponder over this all the time. What is the essence of life? Why are we here? Is there life somewhere? Is there a God somewhere? How did we get here? Why the earth, out of so many planets in the universe. To me, it will be difficult to answer all these questions. My only belief is that there is a Supreme Authority, a Powerful force, maybe a being, spirit, Angel or something indescribable. There is a Super Powerful Force that created or made this universe to come into existence. The universe did not just start to exist by accident. It maybe by the collision of planets as propagated by science, or by creation as told by religious dogma. Whatever that made it possible for this existence to begin to exist is GOD. It may be coined with many IDs and names like Jehovah, Allah, Krishna etc. It is a super intelligent being for it to know that a star like the sun located millions of miles away is needed to support life on the earth. Without this giant star the earth will frozen within munites and all life ceases to exist. This star have never extinguished since from the day of its birth billions of years ago, and will continue to exist more billions of years to come. What is man looking for in the name of science in a place that is uninhabitable? Perhaps to tap into its massive endless energy--- that's good for us, but let humans know when we have reached our boundaries and not to cross the red lines. I wish NASA best of luck in their quest for human technological advancement that will bring good things to humanity and make the world a better place. 30 Likes 2 Shares |

Iran would have been a greater country if not for its policy of state sponsorship of terrorism and elimination of Isreal as a country. They have all the potentials to make Iran a prosperous country, yet it chose religious sect extremism over moderation and cooperation. The day Iran will embrace peace with it's neighbours like Isreal, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the region will grow in prosperity and moreover Palestinians would have their own homeland, whether as two state or a single one. Oga Bishop we are not complaining o. We like the way we are. Nigerians are the strongest people on earth, we like suffering and get used to it no matter the level the suffering gets to. We chose darkness because we are bigoted, tribal and religious. There is no suffering of any kind so far our tribesmen are the ones in power, even if I'm not in any way benefitting from their looting of the economy, there's no problem with that. You are lucky to get that stuff. That is the best mattress to sleep on. Soon you'll get used to it and wouldn't want to sleep on any other mattress that isn't orthopedic. I have 3 for all my rooms and it's over 9 years now, e still dey "kamkpe" like say na new mattress. Congratulations. |

Sorry to say this bitter truth. The West and North are very comfortable with this tradition of lining up begging. They troop to the residence of whoever they perceive to line up and beg for crumbs. This tradition which is impoverished is also woven around the Muslims of the two regions, hence you see the Yorubas practice it without shame. I'm not saying that people don't beg in the South South, but it is at almost zero percent level and not a tradition. Infact, it is a shame to the man or woman and the entire family for someone to beg for things you can provide for yourself and family especially when you are physically and mentally fit.
