My Tecno phantom 6 plus responds to screen touch only twice then hangs until i lock and unlock the screen again. This has been a continuous and annoying cycle for me.

My Tecno phantom 6 plus responds to screen touch only twice then hangs until i lock and unlock the screen again. This has been a continuous and annoying cycle for me.
A friend took it to carl care ibadan only to be told its panel and screen issue.

I want to know if this is true.
