If you really look closely on the iPOWER battery specification, you would certainly see the reason for the 1.6m Try and check how much Deye is selling 10kwh lithium battery , then you can confirm whether the price is now cheaper or not. The cells market is very complex..... A lot of undisclosed market strategies as some buyers are either too busy to make an enquiry or too relax ask critical questions about the product they intend to buy. |

easyyoke:NOTE: Not all the models of Felicity battery has falsely labeled capacity. The company still have some models with the real capacity. I suggest you look beyond the capacity when making a choice of lithium battery because there are some unhealthy lithium cells with the real capacity but will certainly collapse within a short period of time. Since you don't know much about the identification, focus on the warranty policy of the company you want to buy from. I just hope the company will be sincere and be ready to render free services to you when the need arises. |

Tucode:It's possible to parallel them but you may not be able to do it. It's very technical. If you still want to keep your old system as a backup, then get a separate inverter and pv, and then run two separate systems. I had a similar plan 3 years ago but I later sold my old system (inverter and tubular batteries) and build a solar generator (1kw 12v hybrid inverter with 12v 100ah lfp battery) as a backup system. |

Haykay2001:Let me cut the long story short. That was the available pv. I was planning to use 2 pcs of 580w Junko pv but the of trouble/stress of bringing them down to Uyo from either Abuja or Lagos was too much. As I'm typing this, I've 5 pcs of 580w Jinko pv in Abuja and I'm told to pay 30k each for the waybill. Again, I checked and saw 580w pv in fouani store website on the 12th of last month and I made payment for 5 pcs. The following day, I was called and told that the 580w was out of stock. There was no higher watt pv and my customer didn't want to go for a lower watt pv. I called for a refund and I was told to go my bank and apply for charge back. I went and applied and my bank later told me the money is already in the fouani store account that there's nothing the bank can do. I called fouani customer service and I was told to wait. They later called me that the money was refunded to my account on Monday this week. I checked my app and I didn't see it. I will still go back to my bank and print account statement. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from fouani store again. The stress of getting a refund is unbearable |

Ooreofegrace:The person you did the installation for may be having serious issue with load management. You're not there with them and I'm very sure their consumption is more than what they reported to you. What is the idle power consumption of the 4.2kva 24v inverter? The max inverter capacity I give for 24v system is 3.2kw. In summary, add the inverter idle power consumption, add the hidden loads, reduce the 50% usable dod battery capacity to 75%, and you will know what to tell them. I may not know the name of your tubular batteries and I may not know the purchase source as well but you should know that about 80% of these product's capacity are overrated. My first installed system has 4 pcs of 230ah Genus tubular batteries with 5.5kwh usable dod capacity but I reduced the usable capacity to 4.1kwh (75%) and I've never discharged them below 60%. This is what made the batteries to last till I sold them and the person who bought them are still using them today without any issue. Advise them to buy a good battery meter reading like Victron BMV. The 1Hp pump maybe consuming 1kw depending on the distance of the installed machine and the cable size and parts of the consumption may as well pick up from the battery without their knowledge. |

mctfopt:The major enemy of not just the lithium phosphate, lithium ion but also the lead acid battery is OVERCHARGING. Unfortunately, some people who do not accept advise will still fall victims of damaging their systems. The working voltage range of lithium phosphate cell is 3.000-3.400v. Sometimes, I wonder what people are really looking for at the upper knees of the charging curve where cells charging are highly competitive, especially runner cells. If we can't get the advertised capacity at the working voltage range, then the purchased cells must be that of 2nd LIFE. My LFP battery bulk/float charging stop at 3.400v I can leave my system on and travel to anywhere without having anything to worry about the system failure. A proper designed and installed system with all the safety precautions taken makes us have rest of mind. |
luvlyoracle:Self discharge rate occurred to all the battery chemistry. When the lithium phosphate cells are charged to the upper limit of about 3.6v or thereabouts, the self discharge rate is rapid at that upper knees, but it's very slow at the working voltage range. Some will decline rapidly down to 3.55v before the slow process begins, some will decline down to 3.40v and still some will decline down to 3.35v. All these points are considered float points and below 3.35v is considered a weak cell. |
luvlyoracle:It has always been there but the sustainability depends on the quality of cells. This is one of the criteria we used to check the quality of cells. After the top balancing, I've some numbers of days I usually leave them for equalisation before loosing the bus bars from the battery terminals, After loosing them, I still have some numbers of days I keep the individual cells to monitor their individual decline status to know the point all of them will finally settle down. This is the point I draw a conclusion on how quality the cells are and how they can retain voltage while working together within and outside the working voltage range. This process much get to this point before I couple my cells. |

I've not been able to see a comprehensive datasheet of this inverter online. My friend bought it about a year ago and he doesn't know where the manual is. He now wants to use it with the lithium battery and I want to find out from anyone that have used it before. Does it have flexible charging parameters that are compatible with the lithium battery? Does it have Lvd? I know most Pwm CCs can't charge lithium battery effectively

Even with the quality grade B cells, sometimes, we built an average HDF plywood box with daly smart bms, normal battery terminals, a small display for people who are struggling to raise cash. We shouldn't be looking for huge profit every time. |

Dam5reey:Cycle life varies and that is what affects the price. If you go through EVE batched and matched grade A cells list, you will see various cells with different cycle life and charge/discharge rates. 50Ah has 1500 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. Another 50Ah has 7000 cycle life with 1C/1C charge/discharge rate. 101Ah has 2000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. 102Ah has 5000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. 280Ah has 8000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. 304Ah has 4000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. 306Ah has 10000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. 628Ah has 8000 cycle life with 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. When I checked the price a few days ago, 280Ah and 304Ah were sold at the same price because of cycle life. In secondary market, cell vendors buy the rejected cells at different prices too and cycle life is part of the reason..... |
nnadychuks:Sorry for having such a bad experience. I thank God there was no casualty. Substandard/low quality materials like cables used in coupling the system and lack of ventilation may have contributed to the issue. When I saw the cheap price range of solar generators online, I asked myself, where are these people buying their materials from? We all know the price range of Psw and Msw inverters, lithium ions cells, lithium phosphates cells and Cc, irrespective of the capacity and company products I've been using mine for a long time now and no issue. My neighbor has been using his for a long time too and no issue. If he noticed anything with the battery charging, I checked it for him through the bms screenshot request. |
icjunior:Though the purchase price wasn't mentioned, but buying 24v 220ah used lead acid with usable capacity less than 2.6kwh isn't economical at all. Getting a fully coupled 24v 50ah with the usable capacity of 1.15kwh at the range of 375k-385k is far better. |
ti4c:If your inverter charging parameters are compatible with lithium battery, then buy fully coupled 12v 100Ah lithium battery at the range of 230k-250k and have rest of mind. |
