I remember growing up in Jos city with my parent and siblings. Apparently, I was not physically huge and also hard-working in comparison to my elder brother. During the holidays, I sometimes went to farm and due to the nature of the farm work I was considered lazy. I was told severally of the need to be hard working, it was clearly emphasized that hard work was the pathway to success. These made me consciously and subconsciously start focusing more on developing physical muscle which I believed was equal to hard work. The days of physical strength equal hard work is gone. As the world revolves from night to day, we no longer need physical strength to be rich. How do I know? Take a look at the real world there are millions- no make that billions- of people who's slave- away. Working their tails off all day and even all night long. Are they all rich? No! Are most of them rich? No! Are alot of them rich? No! Most of them are broke or close to it. Here are three reasons I believe hard work (hustling) can't make one rich. Coming from the slave trade era, most physical- body building young men were consider relevance to the colonial Masters; Down to the time of farming and hunting were physical muscle was so necessary to be rich. Now, the status quo as change. We no longer need to work our face and tail off. We are in the era of technology, where it is no longer how hard you can work but I hard you can think. It is no longer about bones, but about brain. Innovative thinking is now the sure way to premium pleasant and permanent wealth. Hustling only makes you tired not rich. Working hard was believed to be the secret to success. You see, the above statement is not completely true. Let me ask you some questions: are you hard-working? do you think you are making the kind of money your energy deserve? See ehh, the time for bones and bodybuilding is gone. It's time for brain work. Look at the following basic Fact: WhatsApp is a mobile application which was sold to Facebook 2014 for 16 billion dollars, YouTube were sold in 2005, 1.65 billion dollars. Facebook net worth in 2018 was 150 billion dollars. Now, tell me, how hard do you think you can work to earn such amount of wealth. Do not depend so much on developing physical capacity start building your brain power. Hustling prevent you from thinking and getting financial education. if you are the type that work very hard at work (office) than you do on yourself, I have a bad news for you you can not be rich that way. T.Harv Eker, the author secrets of the millionaire mind says *"your income can only grow to the extent that you do"* meaning that, for you to stay rich, financial education is pivotal. You need to create time for personal development ( brain power). Hustling (work) should not get the best of You. rather, innovative thinking and personal development should do. Work hard but work even harder on yourself. Create your own quite time for thinking, self evaluation that leads to productive action. Am sure you gain value from this piece of writing, didn't you? Stay with me , I want to share with you some simple but powerful secret that most people including educated ones are not conscious of. During the california Gold Rush in 1849 almost everybody grab a shovel and started digging for gold. And they worked very hard day in day out for months. How many struck the gold and got rich? Only a few. While all the miners we're working very hard and sacrifice blood sweats and tears for the hope of finding gold. The shovel sellers where the ones who struke the real gold simply, by selling shovel and other tools to miners. You see, in today world the story is same. Only those who have their brains fix on seeing opportunities in the midst of changes are successful. Show me a poor man, and I will show you one who P- passes O- over O- opportunity R- respectly. T. Harv Eker said, " if things aren't going well in your outer life, it's because things aren't going well in your inner life... it's simple." I recently stopped listening to a lot of political analyst who keep blaming the government for there current misfortune. Do not get me wrong please, I understand very well the role of the government in the society, am a political scientist myself. But you see, if your mindset is not configured on seeing opportunities even when the government lay down gold at your door step, you will still not see it. A man who cannot see opportunities when things are changing cannot see identify manna from heaven when it's falling. The poor remain because their think is poor. The telephone was very boring but we had mobile phones. mobile phones came with numerous change anlongside opportunities and yet, we have smartphones. Because we have smartphones, many smart people are making proper use of the change to make money and get rich. currently, I earn more with my phone than I do with my certificate. See ehh, if your mind is always fixed on opportunities you will definitely find it. Someone one said. Give a man with a poor mentality something and he will think it's a trap. Tell him to try something new and he will he does not have the experience, he will even ask if it has been proven to work. Tell him, it's a network marketing, he will say it does not do network marketing, that he doesn't know how to refer people. Tell him to follow one year business plan, he will say it is too long that he cannot wait for so long. Tell them it is online business he will shout scam. My dear reader, i plead with you not to get excited or depress when changes happen rather look for the opportunity there in. Change is the father of opportunity. I tell you the truth if your brain is fix on seeing opportunities, even in the deepest darkness you will see the need to create light. I'm sure you gain value from this piece of writing, didn't?
