If PMS is deregulated, I don't see why NNPC is trying to stand as an intermediary. Allow major marketers to buy at prevailing market price and ensure everyone is playing by the book.

Do you have an idea what his own narrative is?
gidgiddy:
That's the narrative of the DSS

Mr Ajaero's own narrative is likely to be very different

If they like, they can keep Ajero for six hundred years. The man could not negotiate a living wake for workers or its implementation but jetting out to enjoy himself in London. DSS do your work.
silica:
The arrest of President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Mr. Joe Ajaero by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja has sparked a lot of discuss across the media space. While some argue that the arrest is a blatant violation of his rights, others believe that lawful arrests is a legal tool in security operations and necessary to uphold law and order.
On its part, the DSS has stated that Ajaero failed to honour its invitation and could therefore not be allowed to leave the country when he was the subject of a major investigation. The agency contended that failure to make himself available voluntarily for an interview despite repeated invitations, raised serious concerns about the nature of his involvement in ongoing investigations. Therefore his attempt to leave the country was rightly viewed as an attempt to evade lawful investigation.
We must understand that security is a collective responsibility between the citizens and security organisations, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies is a key principle of maintaining a safe society. This requires that individuals comply with lawful requests and invitations as failure to do so can undermine the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts and potentially jeopardize public safety. This position is valid for every citizen irrespective of the position they hold in society. In fact, cooperation with security agencies is particularly important for individuals who hold positions of influence and authority as they set examples for others who look up to them.
The public should understand that the DSS has a duty to protect national security and public safety. This responsibility may involve investigating potential threats to the state or society at large including those involving high profile individuals like the NLC president. What is important is that these actions are taken with utmost professionalism and respect for the rule of law.
Thus far, the new man at the helm of the DSS, Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi has pledged his commitment to ensuring professionalism and retuning the agency to its core mandate. The prompt release of Mr. Ajaero on bail by the agency suggests that the new DG may be reforming the secret police and its operations. This is in contrast with what was obtained in the past where suspects are held for long without bail or charged to court.
While there is need to protect human rights and democratic freedom, maintaining law and order as well as the security of the citizens is equally very important. The new DSS DG appears to be striking the balance between these competing interests, with the handling of the arrest of the labour leader. We can only pray that things continue to get better in the coming days.

PoliticsThe Unseen Hand: Powers Trying To Bring Armageddon To Nigeria by isinat(op): 4:30pm On Jan 10, 2023
For reasons of my safety, my family and of the other persons who are privy to this information, I will not mention names, locations and specific dates. However, as a patriot and someone in the know of things concerning the state, future and progression of Nigeria as a country, I feel the overwhelming urge to comment on the current happenings in the country.
Prior to the 2015 election, two institutes closely linked to the US Government gave their prediction about the future of Nigeria. In no uncertain terms, these organizations predicted that Nigeria will disintegrate. That news filtering in from across the shores sent shock waves through the political and security circles of the country. As a security consultant of repute, my firm (I suspect others as well) was consulted to do a research on the practicality of that prediction and if valid, means of mitigating the possible outcomes. Our findings reveal an insidious plan that included multinational organisations, super powers competing for supremacy in Africa they largely regard as their playground for economic reasons and local collaborators angling for political power.
For the obvious reasons, I will not go over all the underhand tactics and negotiations that occurred before the emergence of the Buhari Administration. What I can say now is that Nigeria dodged a bullet then. The unsung heroes of that "low frequency warfare" may remain hidden from the annals of history forever. This leads me to the crux of this exposé as I know that those forces are at play once more as we speak.
In the top tier of security and intelligence planning, there is what we call 'reverse engineering'. What this entails is playing out a scenario, identifying all the major players, how they influence the situation, and how to counter and rework the outcomes. These forces that wanted to bring Nigeria to its knees had the benefit of examining their 2015 plans and saw the role that Nigerian security and intelligence organisations played in thwarting their plans. Now they have learnt their lesson. One fundamental principle of reverse engineering is destroying your adversary before he/she even knows they are crucial to the game at play.
Given my local and international connections, I cannot disclose specifics that would give away my identity as that would come at a steep price to me, my family, my business and connections I rely on to be effective and be at the cutting edge of my trade. But let me say this, the attack on the DSS, the creation of the phantom rivalry between the DSS and CBN/INEC is as a result of reverse engineering of an insidious plan to destroy Nigeria. But why destroy Nigeria? Simple! It’s our energy capacity. OIL. The devils crude. Why wars happen. I will stop here. More revelations in my next publishing. For now, I stand with Nigeria!
