EducationRe: How To Further My Education In Engineering Without Having Engineering Background by isoyot(op): 9:42am On Jul 15, 2021
Thank you. Money is never the problem or my tenacity to study Engineering at least I did Economics as my first degree, is just the whole process to go about it that baffles me. These are the questions I need answers to.

Will I go and write 0’Levels again, obviously I had commercial subjects and Civil Engineering is plainly science Course ?

Can my degree in Economics give me a hedge to start from OND of part 2 level as the case maybe ?

Which schools Can I get this my offer ?

These are the questions, I came here for.

Hello,

I am here to seek advice from anyone that knows better than i do, i work as a project manager in a real estate firm in Lagos, i studied Economics as my first degree, but during my undergraduate days i followed bricklayers mostly to sites and i worked in a big construction company (Elalan) as laboures for years, that is how i raise funds to obtain my first degree.

During the period of job hunting i secured a job in start up real estate COY as a marketer, the company grow so fast and they diverge into building construction, luckily for me my MD realised i have more knowledge in that field base on my contribution each time we have general meetings. I was later positioned in one of our sites to manage the site and i was able to deliver the estate with a fantastic job.

Now, my major problem is to developed myself academically in that field but due to the background i find it difficult to move to engineering field academically. please i need advice of anyone that can help on what to do.

I studied B. Sc. Accounting, had a good result (2:1), but my whole being is soaked in music production. That's where I see my future. I don't see myself practicing accounting for a lifetime. I may just do it for a few years and stop to pursue my dream squarely.
Ps: I'm still a serving corper. [/quote
