Education / Re: Kids In Tech. by Itsprosper: 5:51pm On Aug 23, 2023
Hi there!

I'm so glad to hear that you're looking for ways to keep your niece engaged and learning during her time at home. There are many great options available, but one that I would highly recommend is the NEXTGEN program.

This program is designed to nurture creativity in children through graphic design. Its known that graphic design is a powerful tool that can help kids develop their imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

It is designed to be both fun and educational, and it covers a wide range of topics, including:
* The fundamentals of graphic design: This includes learning about typography, layout, color theory, and visual communication.
* Digital tools: Kids will get hands-on experience with a variety of digital tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
* Real-world projects: Kids will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, such as designing logos, posters, and websites.

I think NEXTGEN would be a great fit for your niece. It's a fun and engaging way for her to learn about graphic design and develop her creative skills plus keep her busy.

If you're interested in learning more you can just check them out. They’d be happy to answer any questions you have.

I hope she finds something interesting to learn.

Career / Re: AI vs Techies, what will happen to our jobs? by Itsprosper: 12:11pm On Mar 29, 2023
I highly doubt the possibility of that happening. i.e Ai taking our tech jobs.
Although it's true that Ai will likely kick some people out of jobs in the coming year (it has already), there are still some jobs that cannot be displaced by Ai.

patthebulb:
Artificial intelligence could displace roughly 15% of workers, or 400 million people, worldwide before 2030, according to a McKinsey study. In a scenario of wide AI adoption, the share of jobs displaced could rise to as much as 30%, the firm found.

Still, yet, are tech jobs one of those jobs that would be displaced by AI in due time? Should you still bother going into tech?

Keep this thread active for answers to all these questions

In the meantime, if are you looking at transitioning into tech and increasing your earning potential, visit https://thebulbafrica.vzy.io/ to explore their courses and begin your career in tech.
