Igbos did not dominate the sports sector because they created a national policy of discrimination like we see in other sectors.
If there is anybody better than igbos in sports, you can add them and remove igbos, no problem. na your body go tell you.
On the other hand, there is no justification for igbo marginalization in other real sectors that involve educated technical input.
We are among the most educated in Nigeria, far educated than the north.
An average igbo student submits to a higher standard of admission in both unity schools and tetiary institutions all over Nigeria, and yet we still have the numbers.
Anambra, Imo, and Abia have the highest cut-offs for unity schools admission in Nigeria compared to 22 for zamfara an many parts of the north.
According to the NUC, Imo state has the highest numbers of professors in Nigeria. So how they can you justify such a highly educated people getting no single slot in Nigeria's national petroleum agency and many other agency when barely educated people in the north get the far majority.
Is that how you think Nigeria will excel the way the sports is excelling?
We didn't have an igbo president since azikiwe, so you can't accuse igbos of being resposnible for Nigeria's bad state when we have not even had a chance yet.
