Lol na you get time for those imbeciles! There is no difference between this and Ruga Buhari wanted to implement, just different name The ministry will provide land for ranching, but because it’s a southern president now, expect it to sail through effortlessly MasterTeeUSA: Tamed as how...they got exactly what they wanted. The Myetti Allah called for this weeks ago. They want the govt to assign funds to the Ministry, invest in land acquisition or work with the Govs, build the ranches and set up the system, then they will use it. They dont want to do all these or take on the Govs. I am sure that is their positon. Every year now, funds will be assigned to this Ministry for them to use. Like farmers, if they lose cattles, they wil want compensation, subsidy for feeds like fertilizers, subsidy for veterinary care and so on. The North won. |
Politics › Cattle Movement By Rail To Resume Soon – NRC by ItsTutsi(op): 11:43am On Jul 10, 2024 |
The railway corporation said rail services for the movement of cows and other goods would resume with the Warri-Itakpe route.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says herders and traders can soon move their cows from northern Nigeria to the country’s southern region using rail services.
NRC Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria, disclosed this on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief breakfast show on Wednesday, hours after President Bola Tinubu announced the creation of a new ministry for livestock development. He said the movement of cows and other goods would resume with the Warri-Itakpe route. The NRC, famous for passenger traffic, had in 2017 suspended the movement of cattle by train following technical hitches.
However, Okhiria said in a matter of one or two months, herders would be able to move their cattle on the Warri-Itakpe train services. Itakpe is a town in Kogi State in North Central Nigeria while Warri is located in Delta State in the South-South geopolitical zone of the country.
He said the NRC would modernise the movement of goods in the country “so that when they come by road from the north, they can move them by rail to South-South Warri”.
Okhiria said the NRC has brought in some wagons that can mobilise livestock and they are being assembled in the Kajola area of Oyo State in the South-West. “We’ve built 15 wagons for livestock and maybe in the next month or two months, they would be deployed from Itakpe to Warri to drive the economy,” the NRC boss stated. ‘Efficient Rail Services Boost Economy’
He said investment in railways should be for the social and economic benefits of the people and not profit-oriented in naira and kobo. “You are not developing transportation because you want to make profit in terms of naira and kobo but the profit will come indirectly if we can move goods and link cities,” he said.
According to him, the indirect earnings might not be directly to the government but it would flow into the economy. Okhiria said investment in rail infrastructure should be for the public good and to make lives comfortable for the masses to have a robust and vibrant economy. https://www.channelstv.com/2024/07/10/cattle-movement-by-rail-to-resume-soon-nrc/ |

I'm an officer, the area I stay we have this vigilante office that I normally like to chill and spend time with the vigilantes when I didn't go to work We are all familiar with each other, there is this lady that recently moved in, when she is passing by, she will frown face and pass without greeting anybody. Those type of girls with attitude, pride and ego She came to one of our correctional centre to perfect the bail of one of her relative, it's a tedious process that could take you 3 days unless you know someone and have strong connection As this lady see me, she was shocked. She started feigning fake smile while walking towards me.. oo boy I bone face, acted like I didn't know her and shouted at her to go join the queue, she felt ashamed, almost as if she was going to cry! Me I no send, no be me you go carry do cruise! I told the vigilantes when I went back, they were all applauded me Proudman1: So, as early as 4:30am in the morning I decided to go and wash my clothes.
It's in the hostel and water was scarce because there was no light.
Hence the need for me to go early to the tap side to get water.
The tap was not running so I had to fetch water from the underground reservoir.
The reservoir is more like a well. You need a rope and bucket to fetch water from inside.
But most times there is no rope and if you come early, you can stretch your hands inside with your bucket and fetch the water like that.
At this time, the water was still at the level where you can stretch and fetch.
So, while I was there all alone washing in the dark, this girl came around 5am or so.
And she just walked pass with her bucket and Jerry can.
In my mind I was like "who be this one wey no get manners sha"
Anyways, I just bent down my head and continue washing my clothes.
She went to the tap and saw that it was not running.
Then she came back to the well to see if there was rope. There was none.
She flashed inside and saw the water and knew I was using the water.
But she couldn't even open her mouth to ask me question or ask me to help her to fetch.
And the reason was simple, she couldn't greet and I knew she she knew that there was no way she will pretend to start greeting all over again.
A lot of people especially girls make this simple yet big mistake.
They walk into a compound without greeting anyone inside the compound. Or to a shop without acknowledging the people inside.
If you do this, you make it hard for yourself to get help later on if the need arises.
Back to the topic, she stood there for a while, probably hoping I'll come help her. But I didn't.
My mind told me to help her but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Anyways she left without getting the water because there was no way she could stretch herself to get it.
After she left, two guys came one after the other and greeted me warmly. I answered them and even told them about the water situation before they waste their time going to check the tap.
Another girl came around and greeted. She too couldn't reach the water. I had to stretch, fetch and put it on her head.
She came back again and I did the same thing for her.
Please greetings doesn't take anything from you. LEARN to GREET people especially WHEN YOU ARE THE ONE VISITING. |

Don't use this as an excuse, you have a southern pres now just like GEJ, push for restructuring. Not untill a northern president come! seunayantokun: So, everyone is talking their geopolitical zone's development commission. Here comes the north west. South west is cooking hers also in the national assembly. North East too, etc, yet many of them are resisting restructuring - into regional structure. Politics › Senate Passes North West Development Commission Bill by ItsTutsi(op): 9:07am On May 17, 2024 |
The senate has passed a bill seeking to establish the North West Development Commission.
The upper legislative chamber passed the bill on Thursday after Kaka Shehu, chair of the special duties committee, presented a report on it.
Shehu said the intent of the bill is to stimulate socio-economic development in the region.
“The intent and purpose of the bill is structured for the socio-development of the north-west geopolitical zone,” he said.
“It is recommended that the senate do approve of the bill.”
Speaking after the consideration of clauses in the bill, Jibrin Barau, deputy senate president, said the legislation seeks to repair the infrastructure in the zone.
“It is hoped that the report will now be taken — and the house of representatives will give concurrence,” Barau said.
“You are aware of devastation in the zone due to the activities of bandits and Boko Haram. The infrastructure is completely destroyed and this is the food basket of the nation.
“If we are serious about food security, we should pay attention.”
After the establishments of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the North East Development Commission (NEDC), other geopolitical zones commenced lobbying for their own commissions.
The NEDC was established following the devastation of the north-east by Boko Haram insurgents.
There has also been an attempt to establish the South East Development Commission. https://www.thecable.ng/senate-passes-bill-seeking-to-establish-north-west-development-commission/amp/

Please how can i access/stream Discovery Id, TCL, BET and E entertainment? These are major interest Fibonacci88: I don't know the name o. But I got it via someone here on nairaland. 3k monthly subscription for endless channels and thousands of movies and series. Just check the tv session u should be able to connect with someone. [ Rich4god: You dont have to subscribe for casting. Once your phone have casting feature. you open the casting feature on your tv then use it to search for your phone. Once connected just like bluetooth, what ever that is showing on your phone will be displayed on your TV.
Simple. quote author=Rich4god post=129911895]For more than 2 years I have been consistently subscribing to DSTV, from last year march till last month, I was on price lock on 9k for compact. No doubt I was actually enjoying dstv especially premier league football. So my subscription expired last week and I checked the new price for compact, it was 15k+. Geskiya I said I can't be subscribing again. The money is too much. Thanks almost 180k per year. So yesterday, I was at home, was now playing around with my TV apps, what I saw really amazed me. There are plenty apps that shows children movies, another ones shows action films, though old, but they are interesting. There is an afroland TV that shows Nigerian movies. This afroland shows live France 24 news. There is Plex TV that shows live channels and still have movies too. Then I discovered that Al Jazeera, channels TV and some other news channels shows live on YouTube. Worst of it all is that, on YouTube there are some personal channels that have full videos on movies both foreign and locals, with very recent cartoons. Then I said let me test the cast option. Lo and behold, when man city match started, I used a stream app to watch football on my phone then I now casted it to TV. O boy, everything clear. I watched Man city, Tottenham and Chelsea matches. When I was leaving the house after Chelsea match, I checked my data, despite connecting it to my TV since morning, I didn't blow up to 4g. So if I used that my 9k I was using to subscribe to DSTV compact and buy Airtel 22g for 5k, I will be on unlimited streaming till month end. Watch at you own space. In addition, some of these documentaries that is been shown on nat geographic gold and wild, discovery channel, investigation ID, there episodes are there on YouTube. All you need is to search for it. My brothers and sisters.... Bye bye to DSTV and other paid TV. In addition, there is a radio app on the smart TV that brings to you plenty radio channels both home and abroad. What I haven't confirmed is if it's live or pre recorded.[/quote] |

While Azare is in Bauchi State OkwuMajesty: The outgoing President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has assented to bills establishing the National Social Investment Programme Agency and the National Senior Secondary Education Commission as well as six others passed by the National Assembly.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters – Senate, Senator Babajide Omoworare, the assent was in furtherance of the provisions of the Acts Authentication Act Cap. A2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The statement was titled, ‘President Buhari Assents to the National Investment Programme Agency, National Senior Secondary Education Bills and Six Others.’
By signing its establishment bill into law, it legalises the National Social Investment Programme initiated by the outgoing regime, which was established to assist and empower the poor and vulnerable in Nigeria, and changes its name to National Social Investment Programme Agency.
The National Senior Secondary Education Act establishes a Commission, prescribes minimum standards for senior secondary education in Nigeria and the management of National Senior Secondary Education Fund.
The Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria Act establishes the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria and is charged with the responsibility for determining the standard of knowledge and skill to be attained by persons seeking to become chartered power engineers.
The statement added, “The President also assented to the Federal University of Health Sciences Ila-Orangun (Establishment) Act, the Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (Establishment) Act, the Chartered Institute of Development Studies and Administration of Nigeria (Establishment) Act, the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (Establishment) Act, and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria Act, respectively.” Ila-Orangun is the hometown of a former Governor of Osun State and the pioneer Acting Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, a known ally of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Despite lauding the efforts of the Peace Corps last week by the federal government, it was not included in the bill signed by the Outgoing administration... |
