He is the third highest goalscorer in Premier League history, with 187goals.Cole hasthe distinction of being one of the few players in England to have swept all possible honours in the English game, including the PFA Young Player of the Year award, as well as the coveted UEFA Champions League title.Cole was also capped fifteen times for England between 1995 and 2001, scoring once against Albania in a World Cup qualifier.Didier Deschamps (15th October 1968)In addition to winning two Ligue 1titles in 1991 and 1992, Deschamps was part of the Marseille squad that became the first,and so far only,French club to win the UEFA Champions League, a feat which the team achieved in1993; with the Champions League victory, Deschamps became the youngestcaptain ever to lead his team to win the title. Highlight: Saved a penalty from Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich in extra time of the 2012 UEFA Champions League final with the tie poised at 1-1.

2. Steve Clarke

Position: Right Back

Time spent: 1987-1998

Statistics: Signed from St. Mirren for £422,000. 421 appearances, 4 trophies.

Highlight: Won Chelsea's Player of the Year Award in 1994.

3. Marcel Desailly

Position: Centre Back / Defensive Midfielder

Time spent: 1998-2004

Statistics: Signed from AC. Milan for £4.6 million. 158 appearances, 6 goals, 3 trophies. Captain for 3 years. One of the finest defenders ever. Nicknamed The Rock.

Highlight: Won the 1998 UEFA Super Cup with the club.

4. John Terry

Position: Centre Back

Time Spent: 1995-present

Statistics: Highest goalscoring defender in the Premier League with 40 goals (as at the time of this report). Over 480 apearances, over 45 goals, 16 trophies. Captain since 2004.
