jedisco: Are you thinking through what you are typing?
Hope you know some countries e.g China has been buying Iranian oil and paying them for a long while before this war broke out?
So you really think they'd let their oil be sold at a time of oil crises without getting paid? Like seriously??
Do you realise what leverage actually is? China is even helping them with Intel. So they won't go and sale it to other countries just because of higher prices? |

Take everything you read online with a pinch of salt. Nothing goes up for ever. Index has already done 4x. If the higher oil price stays longer and inflation comes back, CBN may rise again straining companies. It may not happen now. Such things take longer to play out. |

Joyful365: Increase in crude oil price leads to increase in cost of production and transportation.
If producers transfer the cost to consumers, demand and sales will drop, meaning less revenue.
Stocks in the consumer goods sector will be the first to take a hit in Q1, Q2 2026, then every other will follow gradually till we hit the bottom one year from now.
If you are in good profit, exit and stay in cash or more stable and liquid investment.
With Israel reportedly now targeting energy infrastructure in Iran the world economy is going to feel the impact soon If oil reach $120 and stay longer at that price the world would have a recession. Weather the ripple effect would reach Nigeria is what we don't know. But I would not be complacent |

No rate cut till December.
That's 9 months from now.
If you are still holding altcoin, let's gather here and cry.
By the time the next bull run comes, the altcoins you are holding won't move and it will be new coins moving.
The greatest mistake you can make is buying altcoins. They are useless and have no value.
The bua cement share I bought last year have tripled in price in just 1 year. These are companies that have fundamental and produce value.
Not one altcoins that's shilled by one deranged fool on nairaland, probably created by 20 years old from his bedroom.
It is sad that some people are still shilling altcoins here. |

LordAdam16: well, i was pissed that khameini i stayed in his residence and held important meetings there
but after this by larijani i actually have respect for deciding to go out on your own terms
and this is not just about the top brass
for the past three weeks, usrael has been bombing and targeting basij and irgc personnel in tehran destroying their stations and even checkpoints what they do is withdraw their dead and injured then send fresh personnel to man the checkpoints across tehran this is happening in multiple cities but it is intense in tehran
you have young men leaving their homes everyday assured that the odds of it being their last is over 90% and they come out anyway day after day until they become a statistic
that courage permeates every rung of persian society
if the basij militiaman can put his life on the line their head, the general reza can operate directly on the streets where he was martyred then it is hard to take fault with khamenei i and larijani
this is the persian way
and i am not making that up
the archaemenids had an elite military unit called the immortals literally called the immortals
it was a permanent unit of 10,000 not 10,010 not 9989 always 10,000
anyone in the unit died, got sick, or was otherwise unable to continue military service he was replaced immediately so that the number never fell or exceeded 10,000
this was before shia islam so it's not necessarily about fanaticism it is factory fitted persians are born that way
that's why you see them chanting day after day while bombs drop around them anyone hit is withdrawn and the march continues
-Lord . It's not really bravery. That’s not really it. The mindset goes back to Karbala. Over 1,300 years ago, Husayn ibn Ali walked into a battle he knew he couldn’t win. The odds were almost certain death. But he refused to bow to what he saw as injustice. That moment didn’t just stay in history it became a foundation of Shia Islam. In Iran, that story helped shape an entire ideology: That standing for truth can matter more than survival. That dying with dignity can be seen as victory. So it’s not about being fearless. It’s about what you believe is worth more than your life. |

nosa2: I really no wan post analysis on this forum because of it can't be easily referenced in the future. But I will make an exception now.
ETI is cheap because of its negative retained earnings (hence no dividend). Now that negative retained earnings seems to be turning positive at least in its Naira result but is still negative in USD terms. I am waiting for the audited results to understand why that is.
Retained earning and Reserve -$148,264,000 Retained earning and Reserve +N2,552,212,916,000
You can check for yourself here https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/45990_ECOBANK_TRANSNATIONAL_INCORPORATED-_YEAR_END_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_FEBRUARY_2026.pdf
Now I have asked around and I was told its because of exchange rate translations, but the reason no too make sense. Anyway thats the risk with this.
Now the good news is that irrespective of the figure now, the trend is positive and retained earnings is appreciating in both currencies. Thank you. I'll trim my access and oando and buy eti. If they solve the retain issue. We might have 30-50% upward price growth |

Now I've taken my Zenith loot and bought ETI at 46 which I'm shamelessly promoting, I wonder where I will get out of this one.
Funny enough I think I'm the only one here who proudly States the price he buys on the day he buys. I maybe mistaken but I've not noticed anyone else do it. In those famous words, go and verify.
Anyway I love hearing the negative feedback. It makes me understand why the stock is cheap and identify who the future buyers will be.
PS have you bought your ETI yet? I'll buy now |

If you are absolutely sure that Tinubu will win in 2027 then go ahead and buy.
But note that FPI have started pulling out of NGX and their pullout will accelerate from June plus CBN has started delaying reserves data, signaling that something is amiss. It is God that giveth the power. But I don't see Tinubu failing the next election. |
