OP i will advise you take time off to look back @ things and try to see where things have gone wrong, make amends and be your mum's friend. she might be too domineering( OR possessive) and you want independency pls try to understand her, see things from her own angle too. i know she is playing her part in your life. she is more important to you than any other woman in your life.....MAKE HER HAPPY AND RESPECT HER.

I will ask you this. Do you brush while he watches you when growing? Because children tend to copy what they see adults do especially regularly. That is what I did so my children will always ask for their brush once the are to have their bath, let them be patt of you when you do house chores whenever they are around , it will help a lot

The only reason the child refused to brush by hinself is because he has never seen his parents do it. My kids are 2 n half yrs and 4 n half yrs respectively every morning they will ask for their brush b4 having their bath because when they were younger their mum will always brush her teeth in their presence which promted their interest too.
