Yarn is that expensive now? Here in Abuja, I get a pack of 16 in Wuse market for 1,600. It has nothing to do with dollar nah, the yarn is made in Kano. Crochet, embroidery and other fiber arts are part of the culture for Northerners, so maybe that's why its cheaper?

D one i bought is YEYE, there's another one for 1600 here in benin, BELLE.
I prefer d yeye texture. Its not as woolly as others.

Sooo my people i just discovered that bigger hooks are closer than we think.
Yestd i decided to google how to carve crochet hooks.
In one of d videos i watched on YouTube, d lady carved one from a pencil and mentioned dat u can also carve from an old toothbrush .
Na so i run go bathroom go carry all d old toothbrush i have been keeping for hair, start to carve o.
D end result is a 5mm crochet hook attached below

It was God at work. It took us 4yrs to get d perfect result, we started frm count of 7ml with 30% normal morphology and 10% active motility and now it has increased to like 73ml with 60% normal morphology and motility increased greatly too, dat was when I took in for dis pregnancy. A friend introduced us to Fertilsan and it was within a month of using it dat we got d change.

Please Blessedmum how much and where did get Fertilsan ?

Cherrychy, u can try dis concoction till u go for d scan.
1. 5 cloves garlic.
2. 2 inches ginger
3. Juice of 1 lemon.
Blend with 1 cup of hot water, drink as tea on empty stomach, for 5-7days. Dont worry u wont taste d raw garlic, cos lemon neutralizes its taste n smell.
It will cleanse ur system as a natural antibiotic remedy.
It is well with u.

Hello crocheters in the house!
I stumbled on crocheting a few months ago, while thinking of something to keep busy while pregnant , crocheted a pair of booties & hat, but d booties ended up not being so equal,(cos i miscounted stiches n thot it wont matter, was wrong)LoooOOL. one wud only notice if looked at really closely. I also started a blanket but dint get half way, cos i had a traumatic loss. Av been so angry didnt want to finish d project or start another, i angrily just kept everything locked away.
But a few days ago i decided to start crocheting afresh again, though I'm not yet pregnant again, but i want to prepare in advance.
I've been inspired by u mummy "honey bunny" tatacherie( i follow u from d other thread) congrats on ur princess.
Ynnk, lovemaths, trublvr, lumiadee, valobit & all not mentioned, u guys are creating very beautiful things. Hope i can be like u wen i grow up ; )
