If your state is very competitive the chances are slim.

Please, I'd like to know why some didn't make it to the interview and why some weren't selected even after making the interview? What were their shortfalls?

Those that didn't come decided not to. For those that were not selected, I have not idea why.

Some didn't make it. Some made it there but were not selected.

I don't know how many. But they were not much. Most likely you will be getting questions from biology. I can't think of one right now. Else it concerns engineering.

I have forgotten the cost. It has to be less than 2000. Not all nominees were selected. Do you have yellow card? At the interview Russians from the embassy will be there to ask you questions related to the course you chose.

I think it depends largely on you WAEC result and the state you are from.

The process is not as short as it seems. Your spending just started. Have you authenticated your WAEC result yet?

Hello Izriel, I just got nominated for Russia UG and was told to proceed to Abuja latest Friday morning with Health Certificate and Police Reports. Those docs aren't ready yet..and I'm also scared that if I get them now..they may nt be in use again by the time we are to leave as they remain valid for only 3 months

For Police report, I dont thing Russia really needs it. They have not asked for that document before.

Your health certificated will be valid till you leave. They are going to submit those documents to the Russian embassy. Just make sure you have them. You might want to go to Abuja and get them cause you might be staying there for some days. Just my opinion. Congrats.

Yeah. You can go with your statement and online printout.

I just need someone to clear up some issues with the postgraduate scholarship.

1. Pls which documents are required at the exam venue.?

2. If O levels are part of documents needed is NABTEB accepted?

3.what type of exam do they set?

4. Are there specific courses that have special precedence over others.?

5. Is federal character applied to the selection process?

Health certificate, yellow card, passport, passport data page, WAEC/ NECO. I don't know if any other will be allowed. They set English language, math, verbal and quantitative reasoning, current affairs. What do you mean by federal character?

Someone from your state government will be there to authenticate your state of origin certificate. It's very important you have it. You should at least have something that shows you are from that state.

For how many years will the postgraduate studies last?

I think it's only NYSC certificate that's needed not necessarily job experience.

Do not worry about the age. Just make sure you are 17 and above.

You will have the chance to change that during the interview.

Please, I want to study Medicine and Surgery. I had 3As and 2Bs in my core subjects including English and Maths. Which countries should I apply in order of preference? I am kind of scared with the new language, will it affect one in the consequent years of learning and is the certificate useful in Nigeria?

I will only talk about the use of the certificate. I know pg students who have used theirs to work in Nigeria.

I have no idea about how things are for those going for PG. 1 thing I know is that those that want to apply to Russia will write a paper in Russian. And should have a knowledge about it.

You should be able to use it. But if you write last year it would be out by this time. Authentication comes after nomination.

We don't know what nominations are based on. So you can still try it out.

I don't want to burst your bubble. But let me say this, last year 2011 were asked not to apply. And your grade for Math isn't a distinction. I would just say give it a try.
