I feel your pain. This is as a result of cats who feel they are Lions and are above the law (stock thread is for only stock and the usual banter and not full on politics to force their god and spew hate on their country). It is typical of this type of persons, and i will suggest you avoid them by blocking them. Especially the one that calls himself street*****. If you are here to learn, like myself, keep checking the thread for useful tips. Welcome onces again.

I joined this group just a week ago and I'm surprised with the kind of discussion/argument that is taking the center stage here. By my understanding, this is supposed to be a platform for discussing investment, specifically the stock market. Why are we sending information/misinformation about the kidnaped children. I believe there are other platforms where one can go to rant or share that kind of information. The reason is mainly because it will make this platform uninteresting and a lot of key information may be lost due to overload. Let us keep to the objective of this group while we are all benefiting. Happy investing

Relevance to the stock market?
Namaster:
You appear to have MISSED the memo.

You can post WHATEVER you want on the thread now.

And to be frank, getting in on the action is MORE fun than any FUTILE attempt to restore sanity on the thread.

Currently, it has evolved into an EVERYTHING thread.
In the future, it MAY revert back into a stock-exclusive thread.

But for now, sit back and ENJOY.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

You seem to be part of the problem. Ordinarily, the post should not be an issues, but if the room had been read, xonsidering what we are struggling with, tgat post would not have been made.

England-Argentina thriller a few hours hence will be a naked shooting war.
No, not the Falkland Island War of 1982.
That is past, gone and, hopefully, forgotten.
This night is a David and Goliath event, where Jude Victor William Bellingham of England is David while Lionel Andres "Leo" Messi of Argentina shall be the Goliath.

We all know how how the Biblical encounter ended, so why give the David anointing to England ?

Argentina has won the World Cup 3 times, and now gunning for the fourth.
England has won it only once in ancient 1966.
If human judgement should become Divine Justice, England should prevail over both Argentina and Spain to touch the Cup once more.

As for Africa, maybe a discussion for another day.

Oga, while not supporting his use of foul language, i dont see you calling the other folks to order. You have those who have continiously insulted everyone in the name of politics. Even boasting that no one can call him to order. Where were you then? Call them to order too and lets keep this place, strictly for stocks and small banter.

OBAGADAFFI:
Oga, all your posts here have derailed the purpose of the Forum.

This is purely an Stocks Exchange investment forum, and you have not made any sensible posts concerning investment here.

* Gold processing to commence Q3
* They collected money upfront for delivery of certain qty of gold bars, but failed to deliver. That money had to be repaid by heritage bank
* Clarity needed around their shares and capital raising exercise.

Treasury shares means when a company withdraws or warehouses its own previously issued shares.

In Oando's case, a shareholder owing the company could not pay back; decided to give up his shares in full settlement of the debt.
Total number of shares is 4.279 billion units.
Management has decided to redistribute to shareholders pro-rata.
The value of these shares is about N457billion;

In Oando's AFS (Pages 23, 80, 81):
a. Treasury Shares (shares not yet redistributed); N379b
b. Capital Distribution Reserve (shares already distributed) N78b
......making a total of N457b already debited to Equity; making Equity to show a negative N566b.

In other words, the actual negative equity would have been about N109b (i.e. excluding the Treasury shares/Capital distribution reserves).

The shares have been valued at more than N105 per share, going by my rough estimates, if I am not mistaken.

One of the reasons i have being part of this forum is the quality information provided as relating to the stockmarket. Today, some people have highjacked it, in the name of political discussion. Please go to the politics section. You political comments give me headache. I am here for stocks and not if tinubu or obi will win the election. This rubbish should stop.

Someone (a full adult) made allegations against someone (another adult), presumably the boss.
Today, the father of the person that made the allegation has been arrested by security operatives in Ogbomosho!
The poor old father that was not part of their shenanigans has been picked up, instead!
Somebody described it as ''political banditry''

This mysterious bank aggressively marketed a premium, ₦50.00 Rights Issue to the public. The moment the billions in cash were safely locked onto their balance sheet to clear the CBN recapitalization line, they immediately dropped a brutal, ₦331 billion impairment bomb. That completely crushed the full-year net profit by over 47%, wiped out the final dividend entirely, and allowed the share price to tank 24% below what subscribers just paid

Be careful where you put your cash going forward
