Now people are talking and responsibly too.

Woman of the house should know how to cook and same
goes to the man and kids as well for sake of cover-up.

,,, its very important 4 a woman to be good in kitchen because its not all the time the man might feel like going 2 eatry or taking junks ,,,  Also, it makes a man proud when he has guests in the hse and the woman gives them a wonderful treat from her kitchen. kiss kiss

Jachoz,

nope, it will not change

listen enlightened men don't marry for kitchen needs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To prepare food has nothing to do with being enlightened or not.  To think of it, the so called illitrate once are usually expert in preparing delicious dishes while enlightened would add sugar in place of salt and vice va serwould.

We eat in order to live. In fact it is good that every member of the knows how to prepare at least one type meal or the other even if it is to boil just hot water. A family where this is none-existence is better imagined. I am not restricting my arguement to the wife alone mind you.

iice:
@Viena, Tnx. . .Enlightened men is damn right!
@Jachoz, huh huh well i do agree that u can say never say never, but in my years on this earth i've never had the urge 2 cook anything and i doubt even when i leave the earth that would change. Lets say am set in my ways and there are so many things that compliment my choice. If u say i wont get a man because of the whole cooking issue? LOL sorry 2 burst that bubble but it has never been an issue with all the guys i have dated and yes that includes nigerian men grin grin
Interesting to know that. You must be one in a million.
But we talking about the wife in the family which is a different ball game grin

If Baba GOD has used your missing rib to create a eve outside ibo enclave then, I bet you will marry someone else's wife and that means a lot of troubles for you. I advice you globalise the search for your missing rib to avoid this mistake. cool

viena:
why should it matter if a woman can't cookhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh?

i can't cook, i don't like the kitchen and i am happily committed and my man has no problem with that.
iice:
Correct jare! lol
I guess u will have a change of opinion in 10-20 yrs time, becos there are some delicacies that are better handled by the governor (the wife) in the house especially when it concerns the minsiters (children) etc than even the 5-star hotels.

Remember this day, Jachoz has said it.
FoodRe: Does It Matter If She Can't Cook? by Jachoz(m): 10:00am On Jul 31, 2006
In summary, all the replies so far point to the fact that it matters if she doesn't know how to cook. Even those who claim that they would teach should know that if it doesn't matter, there would be no need to teach.

My own candid opinion is that it matters, better still if both know how to cook.

A woman potentially has three mouths ie one on the head and other two opposite to
each other down stairs.

So, when a woman is single she restricts her eating habit with one mouth or sometimes two.

Now, on getting married, she would cheefully open up the three whole
mouths to take in as much as she could without fear or favour and the reminants
would go to the husband who has just one mouth to compete with.

Many a time too, the husband would vomit through his snake and to the advantage of same woman, the little he has taken with this one mouth and remains eternally slime.
